FINALLY!! Someone who puts the assembly lube IN the seat post!!! YAY! I never understood smearing it all over the seat post only to remove most of it putting in the bike.

I still don't get the rear brake cable inside the frame with this fully integrated system, it stretched inside the frame when the handle spun to the right, doesn't it?
theoretically doesn't need to stretch around anything as it is routed through the middle... practically probably has just enough "extra" housing (1-3 cm) inside the frame...
The lever/hose install seemed a little overcomplicated. The olive is in there, trapped by the nut to make installation easier, you pull the yellow plugs out of the lever, cut the hose, press the barb, and push the hose straight in. No need to take it all apart and off the bar.
@@einundsiebenziger5488 I don't miss rim brakes, hydraulic disc brakes aren't difficult at all. I wasn't commenting on disc brakes anyway, I was pointing out how he was overcomplicating a specific task.
As a shop we where told by our shimano rep that it is a known issue when inserting the brake hose that the olive can become misaligned and restrict flow. I've had to redo countless brake hose installs where this has happened and even seen 3 or 4 instances where this has cracked the lever body itself at around 3nm well below spec. anything can happen
My friend put this bike together for his son and before I knew it he was done th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L When the son came to put it together he was surprised to see it was already done. All he had to do was take the bike to get air and be on his way. My friend did not have any major problems putting this bike together; small issue was putting one of the brakes on straight; however when the son got home he was able to fix it. The bike rides well gears move correctly; good bike for the price. Wrote review after the son took the bike. Sorry.
Heavy: 7kg without pedals and bottlecages. Ah, good old times 7 years ago when a Canyon Ultimate SLX weighted 6,8kg with pedals, bottlecages for half the price of these modern bikes due to mechanical groupsets and aluminium wheels.
Completely agree. As a fan of KTM bikes I was looking forward to this new road bike coming out but to see it weighing that without pedals etc is crazy. Why are bikes getting heavier in this day and age?? It’s 2022 maybe the marketing team designed this bike🥲 the price however will be astronomical because of the dura ace 12 speed for what is essentially a gravel bike with road disc
@@morganverdure6116 you can lose body weight as easy as you can stay more tucked to gain true and measurable aero gains... Many people with the so called aero bikes and deep section rims easily keep more than 3cm of spacers under the stem...

Is this bike for sale by any chance?

Does it have extra spare length inside the frame?

@@wings4max alright, it make sense if there's extra housing inside the frame. I just used to use flat bars only..so it blew my mind 😂
You always leave slack to accommodate for turning the headset.

And with a rim brake, you'd just pull a cable through. Installed and adjusted in the time it takes to cut all those hoses😉.

Every mechanic has his or her own preferred method of assembly. I just think it's easier for him.
@@jcsrst I just remember the first time I dealt with this setup, and I did the same thing, but then I realized there was a much easier way.

Loverly build and feeling good that my titanium 1x road bike is only 1.3kg heavier than a Tour de France bike 🤔😏😏😁
which size ????

For most of us.. Aero is far more important than than hundreds of grams. Grams, kilos and pounds that we can easily loose for most of us....

Seems heavy for a bike with no pedals, cages, or computer.
