Greatly appreciate your videos as you work on these dream builds. I'm from the Philippines and seeing expensive bikes up-close so to speak brings so much joy for me. Thank you for sharing :)
Came here for comments complaining about weight, did not disappoint 😂 My friends it's an aero bike with an aero fairing and an aero bottle, it's not trying to dance up alpe d'huez. Beautiful build regardless, surprisingly good paint scheme!
It’ll still dance up alpe dhuez faster than all those matchstick bikes regardless lol. Really, when will people learn that weight is a negligible metric when almost all of us TDF cyclists carry way more in excess on our belly than the bike ever could.
@@87togabitoall the pros are riding sub 8kg bikes. with dura ace, tubeless wheels it should be around 7,5 max. like the Cube, Merida, Canyon and Pinarello. with that said, this bike could get there with a lighter saddle, vision acr cockpit and no compartment/standard bottle cages.
I ordered one at my local bike shop🤩. I'm now deciding what colors I want. This one is stunning oh my!! When the sun is out it would turn heads by seeing this bike go
usually the comments about heaviness are a bit redundant but here.... 1.27kg for a frame in 2021 it's crazy heavy! 400g more than other brands and 8.2kg for a dura ace build... with some relatively light wheels.
Really strange too since GCN had one in a similar size coming in at 7.8kg if I recall correctly. Has me concerned about production quality if there’s that big of a delta in weight for essentially the same build.
Nice color. Great edit. Not sure why the crazy priced bikes of 2021 are heavier than my Giant TCR from 2004 that has sram red and some ksyrium sl's on it and weighs 6.9kg with pedals in a M.
Several reasons, but largely down to a shifting focus to aerodynamic gains rather than weight as the biggest determinant of performance alongside improvements in comfort and components - so disk brakes for faster braking, greater integration and hidden cabling for aerodynamics, thicker tubing for greater aerodynamics, strengthened frames for less flex, deeper section wheels for fsater rolling on flat, wider rims and tyres for greater comfort, electronic components including batteries for increased shift performance etc. The days of bike weight being the only or primary factor are long gone for all but specialist and premium "climbing" bikes.
Fantasy build…very nice. Open end spanners (wrenches) are angled to keep the wrench in contact with three points of the nut or bolt, only if the force is applied to increase contact. Your use is backwards and results in only two points of contact and contributes to rounding nuts or bolt heads. Sorry, otherwise spectacular vid showing extreme care in assembly.
Es un buen Ensamblaje, lo que e notado que no a lubricado bien los cassette al instalar los piñones y en los ejes de ambas ruedas al colocarlos tampoco Lubrico.
You can, there are more holes on the downtube.👍If you mount it further up the downtube you can go with another one at the seattube. With only one we decided to mount it this way.
How can an aero bike frame weigh 1.268 gr?? My 2004 Orbea Alu 7005 frame weighs just a tad more than that!! And the full build 8.1 Kg?? OMG, that's pretty heavy under any standard... my good old 500€ road bike weighs just over 8 kgs!!!
And I wouldn't care if my frame was 2 or 2,5 kg. Unless you are a 60 kg world class climber a bit more weight will make no difference. The whole lightweight thing is so horrendously overrated! Aerodynamics are so much more important. A 2kg overbuilt carbon frame which is super stiff, robust and aero would be much more beneficial than anything lightweight for like 98% of all cyclist.
@@MS-bw7yt bear in mind that 80% of the drag generated when riding comes from the cyclist, not the bike. So I guess "aero gains" are just for the pros and for really fit riders. Otherwise it makes a small difference that does not compensate the hefty pricetag.
@@unairamos74 absolutely true. But whereas lightweight stuff only has a real impact for maybe like the top 5% of all cyclist I think aero gains are interesting for maybe like the top 20-30% or so. So definitely not the be-all and end-all but still more beneficial than a lightweight carbon handlebar
Momentan leider noch nirgends, r2-bike gibt Dezember an, bei Bike Discount ist der 20.11. angegeben. Da kann es gut sein das du vielleicht mit einem komplett Bike eher an die Gruppe kommst.
My winter bike, carbon frame made in Italy, by Antonio Sarto, branded with the name of the local shop that has an agreement with Sarto for the frames. Carobon fork, tapered, carbon steerer, rim brakes, ful Shimano 105 mechanical, dura ace cassette, 11 speed, aluminium wheels: shimano RS81 tubeless, cheap aluminium seatpost (Deda), and stem and handlebar (Ritchey), WITH PEDALS...: weighs the same than this one.
@@BICIeCOMPUTERconGabriele my alu bike with alu wheels and cheap odd components weighs 8.1, bit mad considering most other aero bikes on the channel are like 7.5~
Hmmm, was excited, till I saw the stripped down frame weight. Almost 1300. I understand that aero bikes are usually a little heavier, but thats a little too much. Throw it all together, your going to have an 18lb plus bike. In this day an age, there is no reason for that blunder.🥴😳🚴🏻♂️

what an awesome bike - even the bottle holders look so beautiful. and that chain sound - soooo cool.

The frame sacrifices weight for aerodynamics
A little bit heavy... Pretty bike, but... The Orbea Orca is better. Good job, guys!
It is.bcoz somebody said the gold parts is gold coated.not ordinary paint

Aerobike is my favorite but, this is outstanding, beautiful
Good product and good services
Your laying that stunning frame down with out any protection , you cowboy.
beautiful bike!
Is it wrong that I’m more impressed by that Wera torque driver than the bike? I need one of those!
We really like them too! ;)
@Specialized why dont you use a PLASTIC compression ring like this and you wont have to worry about the fork steerer snapping on the SL7?
Should get someone to 3d print one for you, that'd make a good video

It looks like an e-bike with that toolbox underneath
is this handlebar better than a black inc integrated handlebar?
What tools You use?
Very nice build what repair stand clamp is that
Thank! 🤗 The one on the ground is from unior, the one from the ceiling is our one build using a clamp from VAR.
all was nice until those inner tubes went into the tires....! great video fantastic. Well done" thanks for sharing.
No grease on the freehub before the cassette goes on? (only jealous of the build )
Not needed. Just dead weight.
Top 👏👏👏👏❤

Is the handlebar just an unbranded s-works aerofly 2?
No, it's an unique Orbea handlebar with really easy cable management and the option to even swap stems.

What size has the frame set?

8.17 kg !!!
That's a heavy bike... Without pedals! Definitely not for climbing. That's more novelty than serious racing machine
Nuce build, but the battery is huge.
The battery is the same as with the old dura ace, only the connectors for the cables have changed. The big advantage is the huge capacity.

Cable tie on rd. Noooooooo
