wow! here is finally a PROPER tutorial! thank you! so many of the tutorials from young artists actually only focus on their own style and sometimes seem very uneducated, like they have never actually learned the classic way to do watercolour paintings. i prefer the old-school ways- learn properly and then strive from there to develop your own style. many thanks for these wonderful hands- on tutorials! i have sucked them up and will watch them over and over again.... thank you, thank you!

I'm going to the U.K. with two of my hugely artistic grandchildren! I have played with watercolors for years, but I have learned so much from your videos! My husband got me a very, very fine set of travel watercolors for our trip. Now for the journals and we're all set! Thank you again. You're an awesome teacher!❤

There are a lot of videos on You tube that give you the basics but it is very repetitive because everybody is doing the same technique and not adding anything to it. As I watch; when you do the techniques you add oomph!You add texture using unconventional tools.Excellent!!!Keep it up!!thanks!!

Love the "seeing" tutorial. Could you ( if you haven't already ) do some more of them and the minute sketches? I know I could and should do these on my own, but working along with your video was alot of fun. Very inspiring.
This is great! Thanks for posting. I did the short sketches and I'm surprised at how much I was trying to get just the basic outline of the object, before time was up. I am going way too slowly. I guess this takes practice!
+ladyinblack1964 The quick sketches are just exercises. There is no wrong way to do it. So keep practicing and remember the main goal is to have fun! And don't forget to breathe!
+malisha patel Melisha, The binder clips just keep the book open. Because I use small journals (5 1/2 by 7 1/2 inch) and 140# paper the pages don't buckle when I get them wet.
You can do it. The more you draw, the better you get, but you have to start somewhere! Don't worry if it is not perfect. It's not about getting the drawings done exactly right. A journal is just about recording your life, practicing and having fun!
