Using the view finder is a fascinating idea! Did you get your piece of plastic at the local hardware store? I'm wondering if new die cutting plates would work .

I really like the plastic idea. What weight of paper are you using to trace it while holding it against the window? Also, can you rinse the water pen in a jar of water instead of using paper towel? thanks!
The paper is in the Strathmore watercolor art journal. They are 140 lb. and come in different sizes. And of course you can rinse your brush in a jar of water instead of a paper towel. It is just easier to carry a piece of paper towel instead of a jar of water.
I just got the Strathmore Mixed Media Visual Journal in a larger 9x12" and the 140lb paper is extremely good quality. Because of this I can use both sides of the paper in the journal format.
Best way to fill your water brush: Use a disposable syringe (20 ml). They cost next to nothing and will actually last a long time. They are especially useful on the go with just a water bottle...
I think the pens I used for the videos are both Sharpies. I like the extra fine point the best, but the fine point one works well too. And they come in colors! I often use pigma micron pens as well but they were too fine to show up on the page in the video. My favorite pigma micron is the .005. It's very fine.

She is confusing perspecy distortion with camera lens distortion. Drawing from life avoids camer lens distortion.
