Diecast Restoration : Porsche Targa - Yatming. Welcome back to Diecast Resurrection in todays video I do a restoration on a vintage Yatming Porsche Targa. This diecast car had cool factory Jägermeister tampos that I ended up remaking with decals with some fancy stencil work and we did a wheel upgrade to some economy Matchbox wheels to complete the look. It turned out better than new!

Amazing transformation!! The only thing I would have suggested was to paint the targa roof section black because they were all removable black tops. Not the entire roof like a convertible. The Targa's have a removeable roof "section".
I'm not into cars with alcohol advertisements, but MAN I want this one!

Dang man, the restoration overall is spectacular, especially considering the state it was in. But those decals are just absolutely fantastic.

Would there be any advantage to spraying the white base, putting down the masks for the white areas, and then spraying the color? Would it save you the step of masking and spraying a second round of white? Just something that came to mind watching this video. Keep up the amazing work!!! 👍🙂👍

it was a targa, with a removable top, but not like the cabriolet. the rollbar and rear window would always stay. because of that configuration they used them as highway police cars. where your third window was, was probably a siren, corgi did the targa too in a police livery
I was wondering since it was a targa if he should have done the roll bar in black, but still a great resto either way.

even if it wasn't up someone's whatever, it might have been dropped in a cowsplat and then put aside... and years later someone decided to sell it. I think we should not explore this further. XD

Turned out real nice! That little window is very odd. I work with 911's and haven't ever seen one with an odd little window on the drivers side. Bit like an AMC pacer 😂
