Great video.. it's also important to inspect the gap while the machine is running. I've found that the alignment can shift when the device is running, as compared to what it looks like when it is static.
Hi, I know it’s 5 years since you commented, and that it’s a long shot, but I can’t find anything on the internet so I will just try. I just bought the same Wahl clipper and zero gapped it, and now it doesn’t get aligned after I turn the machine on. Is it safe to use it like that, or should it get fixed? And if so, how can i fix it?
I LOVE my magic clips but that is one thing I hate is they are AWFUL for taking off bulk, but after a training I've been to I'm starting to realize the difference between different types of motors and blades. It makes a huge difference and I had no idea until recently
David Falla Oh I see thanks you for the answer! Imagine if I don't zero gap my clipper, how can I erase that line created with my trimmer, what alternative does exist ?
I just got a cordless 5 Star senior and I made sure to align the still and cutting blade parallel. In the close position it looks even and when I tested on myself it doesn’t cut me. However, when it’s in the open position the cutting blade looks off. Like the left side dips lower. Please help. Am I doing something wrong?
+Daniel Gutierrez well it all depends. I don’t think these need to be adjusted but I did and they work fine. These are the only clippers I have that are zero gapped just so I can remove that skin line.
Hey if I zero gap my Wahl Magic clip, must I also zero gap my Babyliss gold trimmer to make a perfect clean fade ? Or I can only zero gap my magic clip
Grat stuff!! I just want to know how I can see if the top blade are in the right place and not to much to the left or to the right on these Wahl cordless becous its not the same as the Wahl corded Clippers ive noticed. The Wahl corded Clippers bottom blade always stops at the exact same place but not on cordless. Really appriciate any answer. Thank you!
hi i have wähl senior but I want to change blade because I would like to have hair just 1cm maximum or zero. is magic clip blade the right choice?thank you
hey boss great video! MY Magic Clips are factory setting and the blade looks very even.. but on some hair it doesnt cut right through and I have to go over the same spots a lot.. usually thick hair.. is that normal? The masters cut right through no problem
O Kanenas thank you for the reply. It I don’t understand what you mean. What line are you talking about?i do my line up after I cut my hair with my clippers. I don’t use my liners until after (I understand why those should be gapped)
@@KhariShootYourShot92 was talking about the "guide line" you know. Lets say your trimmer cuts zero , if your clipper isnt zero gapped and lets say it start from 0.6 you will never be able to erase the guide line you created before with trimmers . I hope the term "guide line" helped
You gotta be really careful zero gapping a fade blade like that on the cordless Magic Clip. It's already a thin blade, so zero gapping turns it into a damn razor. So easy to cut your clients if they have any moles, pimples, or skin imperfections. I set mine with a few mm gap, def not a true zero gap.
+Blake P you are completely right but I have never had a problem like that, but I’m sure i has happened to others. Thank you for sharing that with all of us
Just go to Walmart and grab the pro lithium ion cordless from wahl and it comes with the same magic clip motor with a trimmer and all the colored guards and the presicion blade wich is a good taper blade for only $50 that's $30 less than the magic clip
It would literally cost WAHL an extra 2 cents if they simply added in a plastic spacer tool that sits the right gap or zero gap needed Aligning up by hand and sight is so friggin fiddly !! WAKE UP WAHL !!!
you’re my favorite youtube barber, you’ve taught me so much. Thank you!!

You are completely right and thank you for the input
How to fix that tho the Blade is moving to the left/Right When you Turn ist on

I love wahls they r really stepping up their game cuz andis master was the number one clipper for a while.
+Southwest ChicaNosX14 for real. I started with the master and now I barely use it.
Thanks for the help 💯

Good stuff David, I didnt know about the 5 points n I like that trick on facing the clipper blades on a flat surface.
+Southwest ChicaNosX14 thank you and yeah those are just tips that are beneficial for everyone
How often do u clean the hair put of your blades? I haven't dont that yet lol. I want to know so I can start doing it.
+Southwest ChicaNosX14 every couple of months. Specially if you start seeing that the clippers aren’t cutting the same
David Falla cool thanks😉
I want to start barbering and i have a question, what is the utility to zero gap a clipper ? Does it replaces a trimmer ?
Hello and the reason to zero gap is so you are able to erase the line from the trimmer
David Falla Oh I see thanks you for the answer! Imagine if I don't zero gap my clipper, how can I erase that line created with my trimmer, what alternative does exist ?
Difícil to be honest with you. You can use the corners of the trimmer to flick the line out
Ok thanks a lot for the advice :)
How do you open the body of that magic clipper
Where do you get your clippers customized? I really want to get mine customized because I'm not a big fan of the factory look
I wrapped it myself actually lol
Can u please make a tutorial on how to do a fohawk fade and a pompadour fade?
+Southwest ChicaNosX14 I keep that I mind. I do have videos of pompadours and faux hawk but I can try to re do them
David Falla cool I didn't know u have made them videos already. Where can I find them?
+Southwest ChicaNosX14 here I the channel. Look them up

Tried doing on beard clipper without lever.idk if it did anything
Do you recommend zero gapping it? Most people say they cut better factory set
+Daniel Gutierrez well it all depends. I don’t think these need to be adjusted but I did and they work fine. These are the only clippers I have that are zero gapped just so I can remove that skin line.

Yassin Nur I was wondering the same thing
Me too amigos
same i wonder why?
why do my magic clips cutting blade always stop on a different side each time? like left or right sometimes
Same i got that issue
@@Tmanygm i found out it’s normal bro

Recomiendas magic clip trimmer?
hi i have wähl senior but I want to change blade because I would like to have hair just 1cm maximum or zero. is magic clip blade the right choice?thank you
I have mine as they come out of the box. Should I zero gap then or no? It’s my main clipper at the moment.
+Josh Thornburg hello and you don’t have to if it cuts the way you want it
David Falla I want it to still open up enough to fade, so I might just keep it how it is.
Wondering if you know where would I get parts for this clipper
hey boss great video! MY Magic Clips are factory setting and the blade looks very even.. but on some hair it doesnt cut right through and I have to go over the same spots a lot.. usually thick hair.. is that normal? The masters cut right through no problem
they have staggered blade, good for fading and not good for taking off bulk, get wahl seniors to cut off bulk
Whats the point of zero gapping clippers, I thought that you only gapped liners so they would be more powerful and get closer
zero gap a clipper is a must if you want to erase the line that has been created by a trimmer that cuts very close too
O Kanenas thank you for the reply. It I don’t understand what you mean. What line are you talking about?i do my line up after I cut my hair with my clippers. I don’t use my liners until after (I understand why those should be gapped)

Never zero gap your clippers especially if you are a professional hairdresser I was sued from my client cost me $15000 and lost my business
Those blades are not correctly aligned.
They work just fine.
