Im currently a cosmetology student and just got my clippers and havent even been taught how to use them but ur video was very helpful.Thank u for making a video explaining how to lever and fade
I am a total stranger to haircutting but after watching 2-3 tutorials and the basics of haircutting from this video it totally made me understand how it works.
Thank you so much. Stuck at home with this quarantine and my son’s hair is growing out of control. My dad pulled out his clipper set and I didn’t want to go in blindly. This video helped a lot!
On my first attempt to fade myself, i did it very slowly and didnt rush it. I was impressed how well my sides looked. Then i realised i didnt have a second big mirror to see the back of my head/neck. Had to wait 5 hours for my cousin to finish work to finish the back, but not before he studied these videos first. Lol
This is the BEST fading video ever! I have watched many TH-cam videos about fading and they all left me confused. You have explained fading fundamentals clearly and thoroughly. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. I am now confident to try my first fade!
I totally agree with what you said about making teaching a fun thing more than it is a job because students are more open minded nowadays but can’t fully develop with the same old boring books and lectures, awesome video btw really informative
Thank you so much. So glad I found your channel. I am a stage 2 hairstylist/barber in school and this helped a lot! Gonna practice on my brother in law.
I've been doing hair for almost 35 years and your right they never teach you what the lever is for thank god I knew after teaching myself but bc I haven't done men's haircuts in a while I wanted to get a new set of clippers and somehow got here glad you posted this to help me remember but I still do beautiful work keep the videos coming I do hair a lot on women my specialty guys were for years but its good to get a brush-up... I also learned from a barber back in the day really taught me a lot especially if someone had on a topay
You are so awesome, explaining the motion like a "C". It sticks so we'll. You are a great teacher. I subscribed to your channel. Thanks and God bless you.
Awesome video i watched this for what i thought i didnt know about the lever and found out there were errors in my technique now i have the confidence AND now the know how to do a solid fade, thanks for this.
In my 3rd week of barber school. Bro...this is exactly the video I needed. The school is going to typically going to teach you enough to pass the state test. Beginners like myself need to pay attention at school and get that knowledge to pass your boards. But videos like these are going to build so much confidence for us to go out and start doing garage and kitchen cuts😂. Wishing the best to all y'all - Chief Qweef Also, not apologizing for any grammar mistakes that may have occurred during this statement. Have a great day.
You're definitely not the only one. Lots of people I know are rocking a buzz cut right now lol. I've been cutting my hair for years. Videos like this were a huge help
LOL dude... I did my first Covid-Cut... and Ima tell you... i f'd that ish up bad!!! LMAO All I know is that you just gotta keep on keeping on! I'm going to go do it again! Because, I'm like that!! LOL
Thank you Prof! I don't have a car right now; a huge inconvenience, so your tutorial was very helpful. Especially the explanation of the lever! Thanks very much for producing this video.
I am here to learn to cut my own hair sir as I am in quarantine right now and I am used to getting a haircut every 2 weeks and a tape every other week since the age of 15...although real talk I have always wanted to be a barber (that is a secret)...thanks for the tutorial.
This was such a great video. Thank you so much for really explaining the open & closed guard. I've watched many videos that still confused me. This was by far one of the best explanations I've came across. One question though? The clippers I have snag my hair when the guard is open. Is it the quality of my clippers? If so, which clippers do you highly recommend?
Quick question, What if you mess up when it’s your first time cutting hair and who should you practice on yourself? I’m confused I wanna start cutting hair but I need to learn more information
Thank you for this video. I'm learning to cut my son's hair since he gets easily scared with hair cuts or anything to do with his hair. Tysm and wish me luck.
first time experience could be daunting and therefrom a nightmare. esp. when they grow younger where they need strict haircut for school if the school requires the studs to do so and they deny that- could be troubling.Wish you all the luck and help him learn to love getting haircuts from a young age.
@Madara Uchiwa someone's ambition is not your business. You shouldn't make fun of it like you did. He probably didn't reply cause he was discouraged after reading your comment
Thank you so much this is the best video to go to bed with. I have tried watching it twice now and passed out before the c motion. Thank you again best sleeping aid on youtube.

Gracia pana... I enjoyed the video and your other videos, I just subscribed...I want to start doing my own haircut on myself mostly... I'm planning on picking up a Wahl 5 Star senior cordless clipper to do the job...what you thing about that clipper for a self beginner?
I seen so many videos and no one has an answer for this. How much does it actually open when u open the clipper? A whole guard number or half a guard number up?
Thank you tonz man!! I allways wanted to learn the motion how exactly it works I was diving into my ow hair when I faded not hair but pretty hair to take out been 2 yrs with cuttingmy hair but this helped me tons much love🤘🏽

Dark Wolf This shit ain’t got nothing to do with space! Duh! 🙄
This is the best, most informative and easy to understand video that I've ever seen on how to use the level and fading basics.
That’s great to hear. When I started barbering this was a harder concept to understand so I tried doing a video that everyone could understand. 💯
@@DavidFalla how to use the trimmer lever for beard lineup or cleaning the cheeks and neck from hairs

You sound like you judging the other barbers for trying to look professional, which they should. You just judgemental
@@TymanHer I think he meant this barber does not act like a know it all or act cocky

Lever explanation is brilliant, thank you. Lever down is open and longer cut. Lever up is closed and gives shorter cut
Thank you so much. Stuck at home with this quarantine and my son’s hair is growing out of control. My dad pulled out his clipper set and I didn’t want to go in blindly. This video helped a lot!

I was hoping to learn when to open and close the lever. This one is more explains what a fade is and “c” motion.
I'm learning to cut my own hair. That C motion technique you explained has made it all make sense to me. Thanks man.
This is definitely best video for beginners. Nobody explain this basics so good. Thanks

Do you gradually open the lever as your going up or do you keep it open all the way through once you've done the bottom short?
who's here tryna learn a 'rona fade?
So close lever short hair open is longer hair ?
When you start at the bottom and go up do you start closed and keep opening the lever? Thank you for the help also hopefully I didn’t miss that
