I had actually given up on this using other tutorials but I’ve just found out that my old VR games will not play with the new headset. So I’ve had to try again I found your video which as made it much more clearer for me. Many thanks. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Bro I thought I did it wrong but then my tv turned on thank you so much bro you do not know how bored I was without my VR headset bro have a good day bro ty
You gained a like and subscribe out of principle: Thank you so much for ACTUALLY including a step by step setup instead of just showing how to plug up the camera then saying "The rest of the setup is the same as what you did for your PS4 😒." ..
A ridiculously complicated set up process but your guide helped a lot. Tried it for the first time today and thankfully everything worked. Why couldn't Sony just make the PS5 camera work with Gen 1 PSVR games? And have the PSVR2 do the backwards compatability? They would have got a tonne of money from people who wanted to upgrade.
Thank you so much you helped me so much also I can tell from your accent that your an Aussi and so i am I which made me understand you more then I do for American accents 😂
How to connect when you have a slim / pro and an external hdd....only 2 USB A Won't the hdmi 2.1 of the ps5 get downgraded to hdmi 2.0 by the connector box, and killing 4k 60 fps or120
Hey the PlayStation VR option doesn’t appear when I go to Accessories in the PS5 menu. Only “Other accessories” at the bottom which then includes the PS Camera which is plugged in correctly.
Even with my processor cable connected my console is saying to connect it. Is the wire busted? Its firmly in the port and the wire is in fine condition. Havent used it in a while but it shouldnt be doing this
Where would the external usb for the saved ps4 vr games go? Is it one of the slots on the front where the power button is or would you need to get a usb hub?
i’m having a problem with when trying to get the adapter, it doesn’t show the USA as a option for address. i’ve searched and scrolled through 8 times, and it’s not there. i’ve reloaded the page and done everything to try to get it but it won’t show. what do i do
So instead of using the shortest hdmi cable on earth labeled 1, I can use a longer hdmi correct? Please heart my comment with your response because I don't get notifications when people comment back, some TH-cam shadow ban maybe idk it didn't used to be like that....
Hi cryptic, thank you so much for this tutorial it has been very helpful. I was a bit miffed that controllers did not come with it though, are the sticks the best ones to get?
The move controllers or the PS4 controllers can be used. Not every PS VR title requires the move controllers, they're mostly optional, except for like a handful of titles that absolutely need them.
I set mine up just like this but when I'm playing regular none vr games or watching an app I keep having to configure TV and when I hit PS button it goes black. I unplugged it for now but I want to keep it plugged in like I did on ps4
I always unplug the headset from the box once I'm done with the play session. You might have a setting that turns on the headset automatically in the settings whenever your tv/ps5 is turned on.
When I click on accessories on my PS5 I don’t have the same layout, in order to set up the camera I had to click on “other accessories”. Even with doing that I don’t see the “PlayStation VR”under “camera”, any suggestions?
Hey there, sorry to reply so late, been busy and only now able to catch up on comments. Yes they've updated the settings layout for the PS5 since i made this video. Have you managed to have it sorted out? If not I'll be able to help tomorrow as I'll be on my PS5 and i can check it out.
I set this up in the same way as in the video and mine doesn't work Like it and the console turns on but nothing shows up on the TV and a symbol shows up in the headset that looks like x->□ HDMI I dont know what's wrong Please help
Very odd, if it's been connected in the correct order like the video it should absolutely work. Despite firmware updates for both since making this video. The setup is still exactly the same.
Check in the PS5 settings for the camera and do the test. If it still doesn't work, make sure you've plugged in the adaptor properly. If it still doesn't work, either the adaptor or your camera or even the USB port is faulty. You'll need to test each yourself to see which one though.
@@OfficialCryptic I'm pretty sure it's the adaptor since the camera works fine on my PS4 and the USBs on my PS5 all work fine. been trying to contact sony to get a replacement.
The PS4 was never designed to do VR hence the need for the breakout box to do 3D audio. PSVR2 looks really promising though, and only needs one USB C cable to connect to the PS5
Mines still won’t work. I have everything and did everything. It won’t appear of accessories and keeps saying usb error
Thank you so much! I just wanted to make sure I connected everything alright before booting. Much appreciated!!
Glad it worked out. Thank you for watching.

PSVR 2 isn't backwards compatible with PSVR 1 games, as the games rely heavily on PS Camera and the PS Move controllers.
I tried so many videos finally this one worked. Thank you so much. This is the best video ever.❤
Thank you for the kind feedback, and thank you for watching.
No actually thank you for making this video. It’s the best connection video ever.❤
Btw your videos are great I liked and subscribed❤
After all that hard work, I think you deserve a W
By the way, that stands for win
Great normal I don’t see videos but this help me a lot thanks
Amazing video far better than any other tutorials!
Very helpful will return to this when Sony sends us the adapter I just ordered
Glad to help and thank you for the feedback.
I had to pay for mine on amazon
@@walmartevil4453 why? It's free from Sony themselves. It's an illegal sale

Hey the PlayStation VR option doesn’t appear when I go to Accessories in the PS5 menu. Only “Other accessories” at the bottom which then includes the PS Camera which is plugged in correctly.
Seems like it has changed with the firmware updates. Can't update the video as i no longer have the PSVR, currently have the PSVR2.
Mine keeps sayin I don’t have a usb but everything is plugged in even with the special cable you need
The ps5 only has one hdmi Port if i Connect the ps5 with the vr Box i have no slot for my TV left
You’re so smart (: at psvr on ps5
Also I don't see any charging cord for my move controllers what do I do.....
Even with my processor cable connected my console is saying to connect it. Is the wire busted? Its firmly in the port and the wire is in fine condition. Havent used it in a while but it shouldnt be doing this
When I tried to plug in the adapter I put on the headset and it said something about the HDMI not being connected and I don’t know why 😐
Did u figure it out
Where would the external usb for the saved ps4 vr games go? Is it one of the slots on the front where the power button is or would you need to get a usb hub?
I’m not seeing where you attach the HDMI for the headset.
Mine doesn't show any picture on the actual tv only throught the vr. Also only sound is through vr . What am i doing wrong?
Did you show how to connect the vr to the processing unit? Mine won’t even turn on and I have everything hooked up. Maybe I did something wrong
Watch the video in full. I did show the processing unit and how to connect everything.

Sorry can't help you with that. I'm based outside the US. Also i no longer have this as I've upgraded to the psvr2.

hey how do i do it on a roku tv i wanna know
Should be exactly the same setup. No difference
Does your ps4 external hard drive come into effect when you set this up or do you have to download every game all over again?
Does it work on slim
Thanks 🙏
Does this allow me play ps5 games like Pavlov for example?
No, PS4 games only.

@@OfficialCrypticHey mine is doing the same i have no idea how to fix it did you ever check it out.
Unfortunately not as i never got a reply. I also traded this VR headset in for the new PSVR2.
Hey the first cord u plug in (not the adapter) the one u plug in on the psvr box where do I get that from because I can’t find it.
Comes when you buy the PSVR headset
@@OfficialCryptic thx but I found another vid and it worked
Can you list the things I need to order online/irl to make sure because im.nto a guy that's worth tech
If you buy the PSVR, it comes with everything you need to connect it to your playstation.
Very nice. How's your PS5?
Going great. Just need more free time to play all the games I want 😅
I set this up in the same way as in the video and mine doesn't work
Like it and the console turns on but nothing shows up on the TV and a symbol shows up in the headset that looks like

HDMI
I dont know what's wrong
Please help
Try updating the firmware on the headset. Check in the settings to see if it needs updating.
Same idk what to doooo
I plugged in cable 3 but my ps5 just shows a no USB symbol. I am not sure what went wrong
Very odd, if it's been connected in the correct order like the video it should absolutely work. Despite firmware updates for both since making this video. The setup is still exactly the same.
I have a charging stand that uses both of the back USB spots can I use an adapter with the Vr?
The adapter is for the PS4 camera. You need it, or the current playstation VR headset will not work with your PS5.
When you say “cable that came with psvr” what do you mean?
When you buy the psvr it comes with all the accessories and cables you need for it in its box.
Mine look blurry in menus like profile is it just me ?
Perfect thanks
What do you do with the power cable labelled 3?
did you solce it i have the same problem
That should go from the VR breakout box to a PowerPoint. That was the last cable i mentioned before doing the calibration.
can you help my vr controllers are not connecting even with cable
Did you press the playstation button on the PS Move controllers?
Where can I find the adapter for the camera
You used to be able to get it free from PlayStation direct. Now you'd only find it on Ebay i guess and pay a bit of coin for it.
Graphics the same or better? For ps4 cr games on ps5
Typically better. Higher resolution textures and higher and smoother frame rate.
Wats the name of the adopter
Holy i got mine in 2 days lol
The adapter
I can’t get the ps5 controller to work with it
I can't get the camera to turn on once it's plugged in.
Check in the PS5 settings for the camera and do the test. If it still doesn't work, make sure you've plugged in the adaptor properly. If it still doesn't work, either the adaptor or your camera or even the USB port is faulty. You'll need to test each yourself to see which one though.

Good luck. Sony can be real slow with customer service when it comes to faulty equipment.
I just bought adapter. $15 took 2 days to get here off Amazon
Mines didn’t work
@@kdfreshdoe1685 Didn't work as in, wrong adapter? Or faulty plugs?

Make sure all your cables are connected properly (all the way in), also they are connected in the correct order as per the video.
Why didn’t they make it Bluetooth and wireless
The PS4 was never designed to do VR hence the need for the breakout box to do 3D audio. PSVR2 looks really promising though, and only needs one USB C cable to connect to the PS5
Name of this game please ?
It's called Blood and Truth
What’s the game name?

Hi I’m trying to connect my psvr camera when I’m in the set up I plug it in it’s saying it’s not working😢
Ensure the adaptor for the psvr camera is connected properly. It should recognise it once it's plugged in.
