I've mounted my PSVR almost three foot above my height, which lets me use my entire play space in any games. The downside is that most games think that I'm two feet tall, making me have to mess with the height options a bit. To be honest, it is worth it.
Mine's only about a foot above me and doesn't seem to mess with my height much so maybe you can find a happy medium a little lower but if it's working fine now it's probably best to leave it there. Don't fix what isn't broken right? Lol
I appreciate you directly acknowledging limitations that you and the people watching this have or might potentially have. I was sick of being given solutions that didn't account for my space issues and being told I was doing something wrong. Thanks for giving considerate, in-depth solutions
You're so welcome Dallin!! I'm glad it helped. I know not everyone has the space to make it work really well but I hope with all the solutions this at least gives everyone a few more options. I really appreciate the nice comment though 😁
For a low price of $80!!! You can find one at Target. Nat had always wanted one for every birthday when she was young so when I saw it I knew I had to get it no matter the price. That was like 2 years ago, so maybe now they're less.
Thank you for your instructions on how to set up psvr for everyone who doesn't know and swear that she has poor viewing. Even though I already have the Valve Index, psvr is, in my opinion, the 1st generation VR champion, price, comfort, immersion, games.
I totally agree with you. I had a buddy over last night and he was playing blood and truth and I just felt bad for the pcvr players who have missed these great exclusives, astrobot, farpoint. Psvr is the OG!
I feel like PC (but sadly oculus) does have a lot of the great games. The sad truth is due to exclusives if you want to play all the best games you need an Oculus and a PSVR. (Lone Echo, Astrobot, Iron Man VR, Asgards Wrath.. etc.) THANK GOODNESS Valve doesn't mess around with that Crap and released Half Life Alyx on ALL PC headsets!!! We love you valve!
It depends on the PC headset. The vive didn't have analog sticks either (What the F were they thinking?) Also having owned a Windows mixed reality headset, tracking isn't always better than PSVR sadly. You have to get Oculus or Valve on PC to really get the best experience still. It's getting better but theres many PC headsets I've tried that I just can't do... looking at you WMR lineup
What an awesome guide, super thorough with plenty of ideas to try. I've found that my biggest issue is (ignoring the fact that my play space is really limited in what I can change) sometimes when I move my head forward and back, in game moves side to side. This is more apparent in games like Catch and Release and Pinball FX. Not sure what the deal is there, but it's really annoying.
Thank you! The limited play space does make that very difficult. I would try step 2, the still recalibration and see if that helps with it. It could just be the camera getting confused with the lights. Step 1 made the biggest difference for me though, changing the light color really finished tuning it all up. Let me know how it goes when you try them and I've got more psvr videos in the works so feel free to subscribe if you haven't. Thank you!
I cant believe someone cared enough for PSVR to do this! thank you so much I can wait to try most of these because sometimes I have problems with tracking! THANK YOU!
Awww thank you! I've had my psvr since launch day and even with a PCVR I still love it! When the tracking works it has some awesome games! Farpoint, blood and truth, astrobot and so many others! It deserves it! Let me know how it goes when you adjust yours.
A week ago I bought my first vr and you don't know how angry I was when it got out of calibration, now that I followed your steps and mounted the camera on the ceiling it detects me better. Thank you very much and greetings from Mexico
Very thorough video! Thanks for combining all the tips into one. I have my camera and TV on perpendicular angles in my current setup, which helps for my play space in the room, the viewers who are not in VR, and of course I don’t have a direct path to hit the TV. I’ve been wanting to get the green bulb too. One thing I never realized was why the camera video showed a negative effect. You cleared this up for me and now I’ll keep an eye out for any lights showing up as the black spots. Great tip!
Thank you! I've been troubleshooting psvr since launch so I have it as good as I honestly think it can be. You're so smart to have it on the perpendicular angle. Keeps the tv so much safer and everyone can enjoy the social screen. Well done!
Really impressive the extent you’ve gone to for making the best PSVR experience. Most people that buy a PSVR probably just put it on and play, and then people like me take the extra step to do all of the little adjustments and everything... But even I never considered going as far as the green lights and everything! And I also just kind of ignore securing my cable above me, but I also play in a smaller space and usually just play sitting down anyways. It was also pretty funny to see you walking through instructions on how to do everything professionally, and then the moment you start gaming you shout “right in the dick!” Unexpected - laughed my ass off. True gamer moment. You’ve probably done these as well, but have you gone over IPD adjustments with a ruler, sidetone VR menu option, and re-calibration of the move controllers on video as well yet? Other than that not really sure about what else you can do to enhance the experience other than commercial peripherals and custom modding. Does unplugging the VR from your TV help performance? So it’s only sending video to your headset = less processing power. Things to consider. Anyways first video of yours I’ve watched, you earned my sub with your passion and depth. Not many if any other youtubers go that into depth, and definitely not most average gamers either. Also noticed you like and reply to most or all of the comments on the video which is crazy. 400 comments come on man. Makes your community feel heard. But don’t feel bad if you soon can’t do that when your channel gets too big to respond everyone. Hope to see you continue to have that passion, and good luck on the channel. Excited to see more.
Wow! This really warmed my heart and made me feel like I'm doing good work! Thank you so much! I love my PSVR, I only got a PC Headset because I really wanted custom songs for Beat Saber. I just saw so much frustration and people giving up on VR because their PSVR gave them too much trouble. I wanted to make this video for some time to help people and now that it's here I'm blown away by the response. I definitely want to do some follow up videos. One for controller tracking, especially the aim controller as that one can give a lot of grief, and one just for how to get the clearest image possible. I appreciate you subscribing! Make sure and stop by the 1000 Subscriber Thank You video as we're giving away a bunch of VR gear to thank everyone for their support!
Great tutorial! Was really struggeling with Vader Immortal. Changed camera position, recalibrated my VR set and move controllers, now the game is working just fine. Thanks!
This was very helpful. The items I used to support with this was expensive but it was worth it. I used LEDs in the background and to the front of the camera, set it to green. And to very little placement lagging as he said in the video, it helped a lot. Thank you so much for this video. For others I would recommend this video to show them
We just recently moved, and I finally have enough space in my room to set up the PSVR I bought a few months ago. Super excited, definitely going to be using this video to help!
I've had a psvr for like 2 yrs now and I am now just finding out that people had problems with the tracking. Ima use these steps just to make it where I can do more stuff in vr, thx g apperciated
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH my tracking used to all kinds of messed up and I thought it was because my psvr was as broken but this fixed pretty much everything.
Thanks for these tips. I started getting some serious wobble when playing VR games, and could not figure out how to fix it, it was even giving me some motion sickness. I'll definitely have to change some stuff around in my room to make this setup, seems much better than what I've got now. Thank you!
Thank you and let me know how it goes. Wobble can be a symptom of too much light or too far from the camera so definitely try both. A very small amount of wobble is normal but it shouldn't really be noticeable as your head is never perfectly still anyways. I hope this fixes it all for you :)
Thank you! Just did all of these but the green lights and its tracking better than ever, especially putting it at a downward angle. I always had to adjust it when me and my kids take turns or when I go from sitting to standing depending on the game now it seems to work fine no adjusting. My beat saber score thanks you too!
Yayyy!!! I'm so glad it helped. The green lights are the last minor step that can take it the rest of the way but I'm so glad it's working well for you now!
Yes! I got this game, meaning to play it during halloween, but it was such a scary month I didn't get around to it. Since then I've heard this game was not well adapted for PSVR tracking so hopefully this will give you the power to get all of them! Lol
Yay!!! I'm so glad it helped you out. I probably should've made that the number one tip but I was worried if people trailed off theyd miss that one and it makes such a difference! If you're a vr lover check out the 1000 subscriber thank you. We're giving away a bunch of vr gear. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I got the giraffe at Target. It was like $80, Aaah, but Nat had wished for one all her bdays as a kid and never got one so I knew I had to get it.
I used to have 2 different PSVR setups. The first was in my bedroom, with the camera directly in front of the TV. The second was in a spare room that was completely cleared to be used as a play space. In the second setup I didn't use a TV at all. Just the PSVR and the camera. I had, however, acedentally punched my TV in the first setup while playing Super Hot. Thankfully I was able to get the TV replaced under warranty. The second PSVR and PS4 I gave to my brother and his family as a Christmas present. In its place I now have an Oculus Quest and a gaming PC. I still love the PSVR I kept and enjoy the exclusive titles such as Resident Evil 7, Wipeout HD Collection, Astrobots: Rescue Mission, and Blood and Truth. I do not see VR in terms of specific platforms. I only see VR, and anything which benefits VR is good in my book.
Agreed! I still look back at my Gear VR with fond memories and recently gave it to someone who had never experienced vr just so they could get a taste. That's so lucky you were able to warranty a damaged tv though! Lol
Hi memed! I'm so glad to hear that helped so much. People have said that is probably one of the most helpful tips and I'm glad it worked for you. I'm working on another big psvr video atm so feel free to hang out and thank you for taking the time to comment 😁 -Jay
My room is so tiny that I can’t even spread my arms all the way out without touching at least one wall and my camera is just haphazardly placed on top of my tv, my tracking is hopeless anyway
@@iveneverlostapistolround ouch! At least it was a wall you could break. My buddy lives on a basement apartment and the walls are concrete, much less forgiving! If you've never checked out the subreddit ERtoVR, it's got some terrible vr mishaps, like punching through a ceiling light
The best guide on how the tracking works so far, I knew reflections could be a problem, but I really wanted to know how the tracking worked, I used to have a small room with really reflective paint on the wooden walls which made playing VR games nearly impossible, however, since I moved I have a perfect room for VR, or so I thought, even though I can have the camera in a position you can see the floor and ceiling, and basically the ENTIRE room, I still have tracking issues while I make sure that the light isn't being reflected and there's nothing in the way, wich made playing games like Fnaf VR impossible. Now thanks to this video there's a few things I can still check to improve! Also this is kinda why my PSVR is gathering dust, I like to play VR, but I just hate how much effort it costs to set it up perfectly, I just wanna put the VR headset on and go
Thank you Wilbert! I hear you. The PSVR is not as put on and play as we would like and if you ever go for a Quest you will love that about it. It's really the Nintendo Switch of the VR world. I'm glad to hear this was helpful and I hope it gives you some more life to your PSVR! I personally can't wait to play Hitman in VR in 9 days! Thanks PSVR exclusives lol
Awesome! They're so fun and once the tracking is tuned it's a blast to play. It still won't be 360 tracking so it may take a bit to teach yourself not to turn around but the price of psvr makes it so approachable over other headsets still. Watch the used markets or for a sale and you can get the full setup for around $200
I was about to quit playing lol. Cant play on expert with these problems. But I put my camera higher up, re calibrated the head set and now its perfect :) Great video! thanks for the information
Wow very informative I didn’t realise how complex correctly setting up the PSVR is, as a disabled person in a wheelchair I’m so glad the quest 2 is relatively painless to set up. (Though using a huge stuffed giraffe to calibrate the tracking is brilliant 😂😂)
I'm glad to be of help Mike! The Quest 2 is much easier to setup. You may find the arm rests on chairs get in the way a bit if you have those but it's easy to learn to work around.
@@mikecoshan3752 I hope it does. My first VR chair I never put the arm rests on to give me more mobility. Then I lost them and when I gave the chair away they were all "where's the arm rests?" 😂
Hahaha Fulcrum I love that! It is interesting if you've never had a PSVR to see what helped. Oddly I installed some new LED strips in my garage and they were messing with my Quest 2 tracking terribly so I tried them on Green, fixed it. Something with white interfered with the controllers and if I hadn't known that from PSVR I might have never tried another color.
@@jaybratt Yeah I'm not familiar with a lot of the VR tracking stuff, I just like the simplicity of the Quest. I've used PSVR at my friend's house and it was a great system for it's time but the lack of joysticks really held it back
@@_fulcrum absolutely! The psvr was really cool 5 years ago but tech has moved on and simplified. I'm hoping psvr 2 feels revolutionary but if it's gonna be wired I worry it'll be DOA
Wow I 98% of this. And it is all very true and makes a huge difference!! Clothes do make a difference!! For women, i have red hair and it can cause issues, thankfully a green light helps counter this. If you have alot of red in your room, add a green light to your ambient lighting, for beat saber since the colours it uses is red and magenta, i find it helps as well.
Thank you! I didn't think about the hair color that's crazy! This is the product of almost 4 years of troubleshooting mine to get the best experience possible! Lol. Thank you for taking the time to comment and if you're a vr lover like me check out the 1000 subscriber thank you video as we're giving away a bunch of vr gear to thank the community!
I love my PSVR but i had just come to accept tracking issues, especially in going low. It really took my experience in fun games like Creed from Great to just Very Good. But just watching you play Superhot tells me these tips are really what i was missing. The camera position in particular is an eye opener. I've had my camera right BELOW my tv because i couldn't get it mounted up top and i figured as long as i was in frame, i was good to go. I'm definitely going to put it high up and give this all another try. Great video, and well edited too!
Thank you so much! This comment really made my night! I wish psvr had launched with a set of tips to help people like this because it can be so much better than everyone thinks! Sadly I don't think even sony knew all this back at launch and weve all had to learn together. Thank you for the kind words. We're giving away a bunch of VR gear over on the 1000 subscriber thank you video if you wanna get in on that misterkeebler!
Thanks Thymen, I appreciate all your support here and on insta. We're growing steadily and thanks to awesome people like you it keeps getting faster and faster. This psvr video has been a big hit when I shared it a few places. Feel free to share wherever and thank you so much for your continued support. You rock!!
@@daddy_joe5764 I'll take a look around. I have Hue bulbs so I want to integrate them with the app and all the others but the price is just crazy! They aren't even available new but I see refurb isn't so bad actually. Maybe I'll go that route
I have the color changing bulbs. I tried this last night with arizona sunshine and killing floor incursion. I was extemely surprised the difference the green light made. Tracking was perfect.
It's crazy how much the green light does isn't it? Besides camera placement it's probably the single best improvement I've ever seen. I'm so happy to hear this made such a difference for you
@@jaybratt yes, the help is very appreciated! I started to notice the changes after I changed my entire gaming setup. That it was performing badly (specially in creed fight for glory) which is why I decided to look up tips for better tracking. Thanks again and take care during these times.
I like the selfie stick idea. Having my camera 7 ft off the ground helps immensely for most of my games. However it doesn't work well when using the aim controller. In far point, borderlands, and firewall the guns will drift to the side unless I have the camera below my head. I saw a video of someone else mentioning this as a common issue with the aim controller. I'm going to try that selfie stick idea to make the camera mobile. Thanks!
Thank you so much for subscribing! I'm really glad to hear you liked the selfie stick idea! There are a few games that do have better tracking with it lower, beat saber I noticed higher scores when I moved the camera down. I've played a lot of farpoint though and it seemed good with the high camera, the key I noticed was just not getting too far away. Although the drift can be worse with some aim controllers, I own two and one works much better than the other and almost never drifts. Idk why but I hope gen2 of psvr doesn't have any of these issues 😁
Hey welcome to the PSVR family! It's so much fun and you have a lot of great experiences ahead of you! As long as you get the tracking set up it will rarely get in the way also.
I'm so glad to hear that G0lden! Thank you! I love Superhot when the tracking works, as I'm sure you could tell if you watched the end of the video hahaha
Pretty good tips. Can't wait to try the wall mounting and green light thing. I've always wondered how you are supposed to mount the camera on top of a flat screen tv. That never really made sense to me.
Yeah that camera mount is not well designed for any tv! It works way better as a swivel wall mount. Maybe Sony just didn't want to be telling kids to put holes in their walls? Lol
Haha you man the swinging arm I made for it? Its petty crazy but it works great. I made a cable management video with it in there th-cam.com/video/sw2fxXHQI9w/w-d-xo.html
I did not watch this when you first posted this because I thought I knew everything. I typically have good tracking except for Moss. But wow, I did not know about #3! And the other ones, seeing it all helped make some of the reflective surface issues click. Thanks so much.
Thank you! I'm so glad it helped you. Theres a few other tips people told me, I added them to the description too. Like leaving the controllers steady when you power them on. Psvr can be such a great experience but it's tough it can take this much work to get it right. Heres to psvr2 being worlds better!
Welcome back to psvr then. Haha. I play my rift s a lot but every time I come back to psvr I'm always impressed with the comfort and build quality. Sony did something amazing with what they had. Heres to hoping psvr2 is amazing but has perfect tracking out of the box!
Thank you so much! I tried to keep the pacing quick since it was 10 steps but then some said I talk too fast lol. Can't please em all but I'm really glad you enjoyed it. 1000 is crazy close and I'm so excited. I've got a 5 part giveaway ready for a thank you to everyone in the community. Thank you!
I was going to make a similar video. no need now as you've done it far better than I ever could. i'll just send people to this video. Thank you. I see you still use fiddly wrist straps have you tried sticking finger grips onto the moves?
That's quite the compliment! Thank you so much for sharing and saying that. You just made my morning! I just want people to get the great experience psvr can offer. I'd love to see an example of what you mean for the move controllers. I use these and they're awesome: Sony PlayStation Grips www.amazon.com/dp/B01LX4ZCJL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_yh0iEb4E88KM2
Something I found out at one point was that Christmas lights sends the tracking haywire. Took us a bit before we figured it out, but it perplexed the heck out of my older brother and me. Super glad to hear these tips and explanations though- the red and blue lights on them must’ve been what was messing with it, and I’ll be showing my family these tips later to see what we can do to improve our gameplay!!!
Hey I'm really happy to hear this. I hope it helps you and your family a lot! We cover a lot of vr accessories and psvr gameplay so I hope to see you around the channel in the future! Thank you!!
Thank you! How tall are you? My buddy who's 6'5" played and still didnt hit my stand. I just made the bar a little longer than normal to keep it away from their arm reach.
Here’s an idea for you if your cables in the way put a piece of extra clothing over the cable like a dressing gown/robe around your cable and the cable will stop getting in the way
You're welcome. It makes such a big difference because theres less of your body to get in the way. None of this will be a problem with Dunder Mifflin Infinity 2.0... Wait I mean psvr 2.0
@@panther535 theres a lot of different ways. 3m velcro straps are great if you don't want to damage the wall. Some people just use push pins. I personally put a screw right through the mount and into the wall but I've even seen duct tape used. It all depends on how pretty or functional you want it to look. At one point I zip tied my camera to a shed door hinge so I could turn it to the best possible play space: www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/comments/ascqhf/trying_to_hide_my_second_camera_from_the_living/?
Don’t forget to use different colors! Your double pink remotes might look cool, but if the colors are similar it could mess it up, use different colors that are decently away from each other on the color wheel, like pink and blue,
Dude thanks for the tips!! I haven't played my PSVR in awhile due to my tracking problems but with this I'mma hook it back up and play again. Thank God I have the Philip Hue lights as well lol got a good deal at Xmas.
My PSVR is on the way. I always assumed the camera had to be centered by the TV as it was with the original PS Move. Good to know it can be to the side.
@@jaybratt I had to return it. It was open box from Amazon. Someone swapped out the new version and it was missing connectors. Should have an unopened on Monday. Paid a bit more, but hope it's worth the wait.
@@SPiTFiRe_MV that's the worst when people do stuff like that. I saw on reddit where someone got one from target, had a phone vr and NBA 2k instead of anything psvr. Luckily they were just outside the store and went right back

I'm for sure going to try these tips. It gets super annoying when you go to grab something with motion controllers and it just goes out of range half the time I just give up . I moved the camera all over, did the settings recalibration and still no matter what there's always a out of camera view always popping up and I have a lot of room to move around.
I hope the tips can help you get the tracking tuned the rest of the way. Psvr is definitely the most difficult with tracking as you have to find a balance of not being so far from the camera that it will say "out of play area" but have the freedom for it to still see you. Having a small mat to keep you in place will help but it you get turned around it will always lose some tracking. Let me know how it goes and if you're a big vr fan like I am check out the big vr gear giveaway we're doing on the 1000 subscriber thank you video.
@@jaybratt er yeah "Out of play area" PSVR's most annoying pop up haha. But sounds good man! yeah I'm a huge VR fan for sure. Being 6'6 tall I like the wall mounting idea, I never would have thought of that. I'll for sure give that a try. Thanks for the Video. I subscribed
@@nbeck8865 thank you!!! I'm not gonna lie, at that height you may not be able to get all of your wingspan ever quite in the camera. Good collection of tracking information ive seen all over the place, but never in one place. The info frank gave (which came from someone’s writeup) was wayyy more complicated than your version. I would use his setup guide.
Thank you! I wanted it all to be together so people could do it once and enjoy psvr to its fullest! When you say use his guide? Who do you mean, frank or the guy that frank got the info from?
@@jaybratt They guy frank first got the guide from. It's basically the same info, Frank just made it "simpler" to follow (video guide definitely helps) compared to the paper. I didnt notice an improvement tbh but I never had a problem other than what is inherent in a light based system and controllers occluding each other (changing player position to the camera in some games helps).
This is a tough fact, some people have never felt a tracking issue and others have a whole range of them. Each step can help some people but I really hope no one needs all 10 or they probably had terrible tracking to start with lol.
Thank you! No not at all, the light tracking is only once, unless you take your psvr to another ps4, then you'll have to at least do the controllers again and it may be wise then if you're having problems to do the calibration again.
@@youmustpaythetrolltoll8517 nice! Hopefully you got firewall while it was free. I got my psvr back at launch, 2016, and loved it so much late 2017 we got a second one for farpoint and other co op. @@swavezmartin same. If sony can knock it out of the park they'll solidify their place in the vr realm. Already they've got the most headsets sold by far!
I have bad tracking with no man's sky and Skyrim, when I first start it's great. But then as I play my hands slowly drift away, and won't go back no matter what, and I have no idea what the issue would be, it's only really in those games.
The dreaded drift! Sorry you're having it. The green lights seemed to fix my little drifting issues I've had. Another suggestion I've seen is when you power on the controller leave them stationary for 10-20 seconds while the circuits calibrate and warm up. The last resort, people mostly say this with aim drift, is the driving comes from the synchros inside getting too warm from hand heat. You can try gloves, I use silicone covers which not only make the controller feel much more substantial but they prevent you from accidentally squeezing wrong buttons like the ps button: www.amazon.com/dp/B01LX4ZCJL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_1rtgEbC0D5B0H
Its definitely one of the biggest improvements and many people have report back in the comments that one really helped them. Let me know how it goes when you do
Welcome back KaV! This video actually had a big surge because of Christmas and people getting psvrs. It will probably be a long time before we have a video out do this one lol
I am an intense beat saber player and when I play the really hard songs it can get so annoying! You see I’m obviously hitting the blocks but the ps vr tracking isn’t that good.
Expert+ on Beat Saber is honestly a bit too much of a challenge. People play it and get high scores but it is very hard. You might actually try the camera a little lower and make sure when you see yourself on the camera feed that it will see every part of your swing when you play. You also have to strike a tiny bit early due to the PSVR delay. If you want to get really serious about Beat Saber at some point you will need to upgrade. Sorry

Lol
I finally got it good had reset all tracking stuff if it goes again I'm going do same wat do you use that height?
how did you mount it
I got mine fixed to
I'm using tripod perfect now
I appreciate you directly acknowledging limitations that you and the people watching this have or might potentially have.
Now I have to buy a giraffe.
For a low price of $80!!! You can find one at Target. Nat had always wanted one for every birthday when she was young so when I saw it I knew I had to get it no matter the price. That was like 2 years ago, so maybe now they're less.
jaybratt very interesting story for a stuffed giraffe 😂
I think that's the giraffe from Brady Bunch, in the girls' room.
It's definitely the MOST INTERESTING a story about a stuffed giraffe can get lol
I'm gonna have to go look now! I saw it on one show but I can't remember what it was. Something newer
Pc still have the better games
This vid actually helped me immensely. Super appreciate it!
I'm really glad to hear that! Thank you. Psvr can be really fun when you're not fighting with the tracking

Thank you!
Would just like to let ya know that 3 years later and this guide is still really useful. Thanks dude.

@@jaybratt Update: I bought some oculus quest 2 XD

Nice.
This was very helpful. The items I used to support with this was expensive but it was worth it. I used LEDs in the background and to the front of the camera, set it to green. And to very little placement lagging as he said in the video, it helped a lot. Thank you so much for this video. For others I would recommend this video to show them
Thank you so much!!! This was about 3 years of troubleshooting, testing and failing so I appreciate the kind words! Thank you

You're welcome! 😊 Glad to still be of help a few years later lol
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH
my tracking used to all kinds of messed up and I thought it was because my psvr was as broken but this fixed pretty much everything.
I'm soooo happy to hear that! I love when people get the best out of their psvr because it is so good! I'm so happy for you and that made my day too!
Finally! A way to get those darn coins in FNAF vr that are all over the place!

Lol

My room is so tiny that I can’t even spread my arms all the way out without touching at least one wall and my camera is just haphazardly placed on top of my tv, my tracking is hopeless anyway
Yeah thats a small space. In that case I would recommend sitting for all vr so you don't get into trouble. Nothing quite like punching a wall in vr!
@@jaybratt Say that to the one hole in my wall and my messed up knuckle lmao
@@iveneverlostapistolround ouch! At least it was a wall you could break. My buddy lives on a basement apartment and the walls are concrete, much less forgiving! If you've never checked out the subreddit ERtoVR, it's got some terrible vr mishaps, like punching through a ceiling light
Comet The Fox I have a really tiny room too, and I taped my camera pretty high up on my wall and it worked really well!
@@jaybratt ouch man sounds awful. Nonetheless your video will save my hands from complete annihilation so thanks for the time and effort lad
I have been looking into getting a PSVR so this helps me out and makes me feel like getting it a but faster.
But I put my camera higher up, re calibrated the head set and now its perfect :)
Great video! thanks for the information
I'm so happy to hear that!!! Welcome back to psvr and it should be much more fun this time around lol
@@jaybratt thanks Jay I will take my wheelchair arms off to see if that improves things
@@mikecoshan3752 I hope it does. My first VR chair I never put the arm rests on to give me more mobility. Then I lost them and when I gave the chair away they were all "where's the arm rests?" 😂
i use a quest 2, so logically i'm going to watch this because it's very helpful for me
Hahaha Fulcrum I love that!

I love my PSVR but i had just come to accept tracking issues, especially in going low. It really took my experience in fun games like Creed from Great to just Very Good. But just watching you play Superhot tells me these tips are really what i was missing. The camera position in particular is an eye opener.
I really appreciate this upload. I just got an Everybody Golf/Blood and Truth bundle on clearance, and so far I'm loving it.

Lol

Awww thanks Bumblefreak, I can't fully claim the idea, I had inspiration from a lot of random places including a retro lamp I had with a long arm that made it stick out from behind the couch to the center of the room. The keyring zip things are also from another VR Cable kit: th-cam.com/video/Z31D_2GW3F0/w-d-xo.html

Thanks! Also thanks for sticking with it that far. I'm glad it was entertaining!
How do you grab stuff?
@@diannedouglas8469 the way the camera is positioned it can see my arms reach even fully extended so I can easily grab anything in my zone in the game if that's what you are asking. If not let me know and I'll answer any other questions I can 😊
My hands usually wobble bad, I am going to try all these tips for sure.
Definitely do it and let me know how it goes!

I use yours and PS VR Frank's tips. Golden experience. Thanks!

@@jaybratt yes. I've watched some content from that channel.
@@zombiecrusher1100 nice. He does some vr but its not all vr anymore. He keeps hinting at First Contact's next game. I'm looking forward to that!
This is the best video ever
Thank you so much! I hope it was really helpful for you!
Put the camera about 7'6" if you can get the ps4 high enough for the cable to reach but that is tough to get that much fov from the camera. I hope you have really high ceiling and no ceiling fan! I have two buddies about your height and we were at six flags and they couldn't go on many rides! People tell you you have to be at least this height to ride but they never mention how you can be too tall too.
@@jaybratt oh yeah I have super high ceilings so that’s good I’ll just have to mess around with it see how it goes. Being tall is a pain in the ass sometimes haha
@@nbeck8865 at 5'10" I wouldn't personally know but one of my best friends is 6'7" and weighs like 175, the other is 6'5" and weighs like 350 so we're probably an odd looking bunch of friends lol

Wow! This was so helpful.
I especially appreciated the selfie stick trick, mat hack, and green light tip.
Now I gotta find me a fluffy giraffe...
Overall, Great tips. You clearly are sharing from personal experience and past struggles.
Aww thanks Andrea! Yes almost 4 years of troubleshooting, discussions on reddit, and personal struggles to get just the right setup lol. Welcome and I'll hopefully see you around the channel :)
Thank you for that info. I've been looking for ways to improve tracking. The green lighting idea is brilliant.
Thank you for watching! This is years of figuring it out and reading so I hope it can help others have the awesome psvr experiences I've had!
My friend Jacob always has trouble with is tracking, so I’ll send this video to him. Thanks!
Thank you! It should definitely help if he has some space to set it up like this.
Just Play in the dark, so in the evening or close the windows... I have perfect tracking wiithout one of these things
This is a tough fact, some people have never felt a tracking issue and others have a whole range of them. Each step can help some people but I really hope no one needs all 10 or they probably had terrible tracking to start with lol.
nice vid, do i have to do the light tracking every time i play?
Thank you! No not at all, the light tracking is only once, unless you take your psvr to another ps4, then you'll have to at least do the controllers again and it may be wise then if you're having problems to do the calibration again.
I just got my psvr today! And i watched your videos and the tracking is wonderful!! I hope you get to 10 mil❤
Wow thank you so much!!! That's a lofty goal but with all the support we've had from the community this first year Anything is possible 😊

The selfie stick is a genius idea!! 👏👏

You can try gloves, I use silicone covers which not only make the controller feel much more substantial but they prevent you from accidentally squeezing wrong buttons like the ps button:

Thanks! It's quick and easy and can save so much frustration. VR is supposed to be relaxing.. except maybe the whole horror genre...
OMG I really have to try the camera position... when I play fps and start aiming, the controller lose track
Its definitely one of the biggest improvements and many people have report back in the comments that one really helped them. Let me know how it goes when you do
I had to come back here thanks for keeping this video up! my tracking had been messing up in iron man vr so I came back here!

You are amazing changed my camera height! Game changer bro! And I subbed
Thank you so much and welcome to the community! The camera height is a huge one!!! Let me know how it goes as you play more and thank you so much!
Sorry
@@jaybratt it’s ok. I recently upgraded to the oculus quest two and the purchase was a great investment
