This made me laugh so much because I've just done a freedom run around the parkrun at... COOLE PARKRUN!!! Why? Because it sounded cool 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thanks as always 🤗
This was the beach we went to on holiday every year of my childhood and for days out - it’s so lovely and I still enjoy a visit there. I’ll definitely do this parkrun sometime.
What an amazing parkrun. My home parkrun is the 2nd parkrun all sand, The Beaches parkrun in Australia. Love running barefoot on the sand. Over 90% of our runners are barefoot 😊
Glorious 🤩 They used to have some portable bridges that they brought for the little river, but I'm pleased to see you just have to embrace getting wet feet now instead 🤣
What a beautiful video. I just loving seeing all the new territory and your sense of exploration. I bet Poppy is having the time of her life. Your approach to travel is so laid back as well. I am like you too, I try to pick up a piece or two of plastic whenever I am at my local park. The bike trail is next to a river and invariably trash goes into the river. What is sad is that the garbage cans there are so convenient. Makes no sense to me. Can't wait to see the next edition.
Thank you 🤗 ooh I like that phrase... I'm going to use it "my approach to travel is laid back" because at the moment I just tell everyone "I'm winging it" 🤣 your phraseology sounds A LOT better than mine 😂 It would have been too much of a big job to have planned a 3 month trip so we're just rolling with it. Besides, the weather would have changed all of our plans anyway! Well done for picking up the litter, I don't get it either, I get so cross but at least we're out there helping where we can 🥰
Loving the Irish adventures.. Barefoot running is something I was seriously considering some years ago and I tried a few soft grassy runs but I am such a heel striker I got scared of heel spurs xxx
OMG the scenery, absolutely stunning. Crossing the rope bridge, I would be bricking it as well! Portrush parkrun one for the bucket list & would try it barefoot too 😀can see from your vids * Insta why people rave about the natural beauty of Ireland
Another fantastic video. Portrush is another stunning beach run you have really sold to me after Woolacombe Dunes last year. I shall add that one to my to do list. The only beach parkrun I have done is Seaton in Devon which starts and finishes on large pebbles on the beach & also has a pebbly section at the turnaround point at the eastern end of the prom. I loved visiting the Giants Causeway & Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. I wanted to save some time to explore the historical city of Derry as I had a lot of insurance business there at work so I had to save Rathlin Island for another time.
Wow brave girls on that rope bridge , it would have been a nope bridge in my case 😂😂 ill show myself out lol , saw your Instagram photos , beautiful , ive never seen those places and im from here , shame on me 😮
Most people we meet are saying that chatting makes them realise they've not seen enough of this beautiful country but I could say the same about England 🙃 I loled at nope bridge 🤣🤣🤣
Great video. But please tell Poppy to never bounce on such a bridge again. It can be very scary not only for your phone but also for other people. Simple question of respect.
Thanks, lol bless her. She's only 10, at the time I thought she had bounced it loads on purpose but on the footage you can see she's just excited and runs off which bounces the bridge. I think I just needed to be braver! 🤣 It was definitely me overreacting but that was just because I felt nervous 😳
No litter is so heartwarming ❤
Isn't it just! 🎉🎉🎉
Capturing the true essence of Parkrun, a group of people having fun and enjoying the atmosphere together! Hello from Australia!
Hey there down under! 👋🏼 Happy parkrunday! 😃
I love the reassurance you give you're daughter before crossing the rope bridge "but it could go at anytime" 🤣🤣 Brilliant!
Gotta keep her on her toes 😜🤣 she got me back though... I thought I'd be fine but I got proper jelly legs when it wobbled! 😳
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️, love your cool, tremendous superb flippin smashing video.
Why, because it’s that so cool, like you Nicola are, that so so so cool. 😎😁👍🙏

Definitely do, it'll be extra special if it has happy memories for you 🥰
'It could go at any moment' cracked me right up. That's my parenting style bang on - blur the line between the gag and the honest truth😂
Lol I couldn't resist. Poppy was too chilled, I thought I'd spice it up a bit. Didn't work though did it?! 🤣🤣🤣 Cool as a cucumber 🥒
That parkrun looked so much fun, and the bird sanctuary reminds me of Trafalgar Square back in the day with the pidgins - thanks for sharing.
For some reason (I've no clue why) I didn't think I was going to enjoy this parkrun... I couldn't have been more wrong! I absolutely loved it! 🎉🎉🎉

Oh wow! I would love to do a parkrun where the majority are barefoot! 👣
Now this looks like a bucket list parkrun!
Yes yes yes! It is! Add it to the list 😃
Oh i remember that story, my children read it at school. What a gorgeous place you are in!
Isn't it spectacular?! 😍 I had no idea it would be this beautiful 😍😍😍
@@NicolaRuns it's better like this, when you don't expect it
@@OlgasBritishFells oh totally but I do feel a bit silly for not coming sooner! 🤦🏻♀️🙃

Yeah they ditched them during covid. They say it's now part of the Portrush experience 😜 they were heavy and not keeping it simple! 🙃

Winging it is the best approach to most things I find (that is how I ended up teaching goat yoga so beware 😂😂)

Yes I wouldn't do it anywhere other than on sand as I'm a heel striker too 🤷🏻♀️🙃

We said when we were there that we could have spent the entire 3 months just on that north coast! It's gorgeous! 😍😍😍

Thanks Matt, yeah you can't do everything. I like that there are things that we need to come back and do. It gives you a reason to visit again 😃

We have a parkrun here in Australia that is 100% beach it is called the beaches parkrun.
