I was hoping to see Maria's prideful full of self personality get kicked out. And in her home country! I can not see any chemistry at all between Joey and her.

Joey's season has really been a treat for me. It speaks to his nature how all the women seem to be genuinely interested in having a relationship with him and you can clearly tell how emotionally invested he is in the process. I hope it goes well with him because he seems to be such a sweet person.
Yeah, usually at this point the ex-girlfriend' of the bachelor usually come out with the horrors stories, but so far we haven't heard about Joey, surprising really.

I agree with you. Specially the mean spirited one from the far end. Those producers should not allow the problematic people who do not know how to co exist with others to stay in & continue with the program. Such drama queens make the episode's quality to get very low & classless.
Maria deadass said "I love you girlfriend" when Lea was leaving, wow watching this back must have been a TRIP. She clearly had no idea she was dealing with a smiling knife 🥺

Maria’s “that’s what she said” solidified my feelings that she should absolutely be the next bachelorette. What a girl!
I doubt they will pick her though. They don't usually go for the quirky ones for the lead. They like to play it safe, sadly.

@@juliaroe3499 They only deviate from safe picks if there isn't one to pick from. Usually this isn't a problem for them. I would love for Maria to be the bachelorette, I just don't see the producers picking her over the others.
Joey looks exhausted like he’s not sleeping and worrying too much. He’s really taking this seriously and doesn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.
They seriously don’t sleep and are so jet lagged. Malta is 9 hours ahead of California and Montreal is 6 hours behind Spain. So his body is not having a good time right now.
Yeah remember that by the end of Peter’s season he looked like he had aged 10 years. Like how Presidents age

I love Joey and Maria's interactions now. She is a lot softer than when they first met.
When she's being treated and taken out, she sparkles, and when she is being called every name and cussed out, she then comes across as prickly?

Her beauty was always there, when she is elevated and seen or when she is ostracized and shut out
There is something undeniable about her, she radiates authenticity, it's what girls are so mean about because they can see her shine in ways they feel too insecure to themselves
Maria is the only one of this group that l would watch as the next Batchelorette

Lea's exit interview she looked like she was trying to drum up tears for a bachelorette audition she comes across so insincere ,and especially when she talking to joey. Her voice is like kylee's Good riddance.

Yesss....it's Kylee she reminds me of! I was trying to think of it. It's exactly that fake sweetness designed to make you think they're a really nice, kind person, while they slyly dick you over.

This is the best season of the bachelor we've had in a long time imo. Joey just seems so genuine, and I'm rooting for every girl that's left because they're all great in their own way and i just want them all to win lol. Going to be tough to see how the rest of the season plays out
I think the date card idea was crazy. I wasn't at all surprised Lea threw it in the fire. Most people would realize that using it would not get you any advantage. It would just get everyone including the lead angry at you. But if someone actually did use it, it would seriously compromise the lead's chance of getting to know one of their potentially most compatible contestants. I'm thinking what would happen is the lead would send the person home within 10 minutes and end up taking their original choice anyway.
I hope somebody that wants to have babies yesterday will scoop Lexi up!!

I will say that Joey lost the one who was right for him in Lexi. Their connection is unrivaled by any of his connections with any of the other women. That was clear in both of them .
I like Lexi but not sure I agree about their "connection" being so great. Didn't get that vibe at all and felt something was off or not quite there between them. Plus she's older and seems older and more mature and ready for kids now!
Maria will forever be that girl who doesn't give a f about you say about her. I want to have her confidence tbh. Ps, Lea, you know we all saw what you did and girl it ain't going good for you.
Maria reminds me of my 18 yo daughter who says “I’m having problems making friends Momz, people keep saying I’m intimidating and I don’t get it!!!”
This season has been so good. He is the most genuine bachelor I’ve seen in so long, even my husband is enjoying watching with me!! He likes most of the girls left too, when usually he can’t stand any of them
Joey and Maria have the best chemistry I’ve seen on the show since forever

About the “one on one steal” card; there’s something I cannot believe people aren’t pointing out: don’t you want to feel CHOSEN by the lead?? Not just like you swooped in and took it from someone that he likes more than you? Not to mention, it would be robbing the lead of his own choices?
My husband and I were talking about this and he said he thinks the whole thing was just staged for some drama and that they made her throw it away. Which honestly made sense to me. I bet she really wished she could’ve used it this episode though 😂
All the dates are planned by production. Joey doesn’t even know who or where until it happens.
@@EdgarAllanGo yeah I’ve heard people say things like that, but I’d imagine the lead has SOME say in it right? Like they’re not gonna make their lead go on a 1-on-1 date with someone who they REALLY don’t like if that makes sense. Plus I still wouldn’t feel like it was mine to begin with. It would just feel like stealing something that doesn’t belong to me, idk that’s just me tho🤷🏻♀️
@@FinntheAutumn it would completely make sense if the lead was able to say who he wanted to go with. I really wish they would allow him to have autonomy over that!

I can’t believe towards the end of the episode on Leas sound bite (the one before the rose ceremony) Lea didn’t utter the word “Maria”. Props to her for one sound bite not saying “Maria” they even hugged after she was eliminated.
Maria got robbed. She didn't get bags of stuff on the Princess Date. Just an ill-fitting dress and maybe some shoes. Not even any jewels. She had no bags at all!
Well, the long dress was beautiful + probably really expensive. How can you say she was robbed? I'm sure she had to be grateful for what she got. I would be.

Of course she's grateful. I'm just saying compared to every other season, it was odd that it was just the dress. I didn't love the dress on her either, it didn't fit well and it wasn't her vibe. You could tell she preferred the black one, but Joey wanted that one so she got it. @@LWard-yt8ye

This was one of the weirder episodes I feel like I've watched, definitely a different mood to this episode than normal bachelor. That being said the Maria date was probably my favorite 1-on-1 of all time.

when TPTB asked Lea “any part of you has any regrets?” during her exit interview, they were trying to get her to say that she regrets throwing the card into the fire and she caught on to that and stayed silent. she knows that production is mad at her but I’m glad she did throw out the card because she would’ve stole the date from Maria.
The card was an attempt to make up drama as proven by this last ditch effort, it felt over-produced from the start to this pitiful end.
I noticed maris also told Lea “I love you girlfriend” like wow what a difference in character

I can't wait to watch Maria shoot herself in the butt and get herself eliminated. As soon as she slips up and shows her true colors, Joey will kick her out. It may come as some shock to him, but he is such a nice, sweet, real guy. He doesn't deserve someone like her at all.
If they had met outside the show, they would have ended up together, but on this show, Daisy is her only competition IMO.

If Lea kept her steal card in the hope of stealing another one's chance later on, I am sure Joey would have eliminated Lea a long ago. I knew from the start that Joey really did not have much interests in Lea. Watch the scenes and you can see it from his face.
@@MsManeldias she definitely wouldn’t have gotten the first impression rose but I think producers would’ve made him still keep her to let the drama play out over the card if she didn’t burn it
Maria is an actress, she is acting, that's probably why she's still there.. the producers just keep her on.

Joan, you make excellent points and you are not "corny" at all. I'm 70 and I love Bachelor Fantake's videos. Except for the Golden Bachelor (which I enjoyed watching immensely!) Joeys season has been good to watch, and I like him, the variety of women and personalities and their own converstation isrefreshing from the scripted same old, same old. Here we see women who are themselves,mostly and production seems to show that for a change.
I think Joey is a keeper,Im getting to like this guy more and more and his integrity and sincerity. He's smart too, not in it for the show,win or popularity but really finding himself and his partner.

He had a moment with Lexi in the church while they were in Malta, and I thought that Lexi would be top 2 after that.
When Kelsey T shared her story about her religious trauma, you can just see it on his face that it could be a concern for him.

I love Maria. She would be a great Bachelorette. But I think, they have more a physical chemistry. I don't think it goes deeper. When he talks about Daisy and Kelsey A. there are more feelings. He said after the talk to Daisy "She reminds me for what I'm here". Yes, he has fun and chemistry with a lot of women, but in the end he knows, what he is searching for.

I'm ashamed to say that I had preconceived prejudice against Joey, because I've known men with faces VERY similar to his that happened to be the most sociopathic men I've ever met. His genuine attitude and honest personality have really impressed me, so far nothing bad has come out about him in the press, and he seems to actually care about the process of getting engaged. I'm extremely surprised and ready to admit that I was wrong

@@IBEtripzit depends on the person. Joey has a similar view as me, but bc women in my family haven’t really struggled with fertility, and my mom had her first kid at 31, so I don’t want kids until at least 30, but don’t mind getting married in my 20s
