I really enjoy how real Maria & Daisy are. It’s not an easy process no matter how much we can think “but they sign up for this” you never know until you’re there.
It's been described as a pressure cooker. I can't imagine how stressful it must be. No one likes sharing their man with another woman never mind a whole group of women!
I hear that but if youre there for Joey, loving joey for who he actually is, youre not getting mad at him for girls throwing themselves at his feet. Hes just been through your experience, he's the most likey to be respectful, hes the most likely to need his own reassurance and support. His woman wouldnt do that. It was a game, PROVE yourself for me. Run so you can catch me. Without caring how he feels and what he deserves. i dont dislike her but that behavior from Maria is toxic imo
I mean, telling him you’re gonna leave to just hear him say stay and then the same with the kiss is a little manipulative… not sure how real that is but the bullying she received from those girls is wild and I’m glad she held his own.
As for Daisy I was like, oh Kay nice! Thanks for being real! But to hear “how you interact with my family” is just saying advance me to home towns and we’ll see. She should’ve just broke up with him. And it’s probably slightly a little unfair to say “why did joey give her rose as if that would change anything” well… that’s what she said and still accepted it.

I keep quoting Maria today “Did they forget I have an axe?”
That whole interaction with Joey and Maria was rough. He looked done from the start of it and i really thought he was going to send her home in that moment. She was expecting comfort from him and he just looked exasperated with her the entire time. Definitely didnt think they'd be end game, but that definitely proved it.

@@vickypedia1353 I'm glad you agree! I've only seen people justifying Maria's actions, and while I sympathize with her, I think she was being slightly manipulative in it all. I think Joey will send her home next week based on what we know and the episode preview.
Yet he chose her over Kelsey T and Jenn. He likes Maria. He may not see her as a life partner but he enjoys spending time with her. She makes him laugh.

I just don’t get why Joey validated Daisy who admitted she basically is not feeling him as much as he is feeling her, but then not Maria who is admitting how crazy she is about him & how serious she takes this & that’s why it’s hard to see him have real connections with other girls. Like she admitted this is what she signed up for, but it’s a real emotion to have; in the real word you wouldn’t want to see your partner make out with another girl right in front of you, this close to an engagement. I think she needed a little validation in that moment & he just seemed annoyed with her.
Because Daisy is an honest girl, who doesn’t fall in love with someone after two minutes, and Maria is a manipulator
Because in real life there's no way you are in love with someone this deep when you barely know them,they throw that word around to get a rose. Daisy is the only real one in my opinion

I think that was the producers that kept her in the game at that point. He wasn't trying to sooth her or go after to her... She should have left due to his lack of soothing and reassuring and validating--- which is DID provide to others.
@shanandananscoo I noticed this episode he said a few times "I want to feel chosen". I took that as he won't run after anyone who wants to leave. I feel like she was trying to joke it off in the end but he was still serious so it was an awkward mess

Joey's biggest fear is falling in love with a girl who has doubts yet he picked 2 girls who displayed the biggest doubts (Daisy & Maria).
I desperately need Maria as The Bachelorette imagine how good it would be. The viewership they garnered because of Maria would just skyrocket

I think Joey was too hard in his judgment on Maria - and too soft on the empathy. He knows what it's like to be on the other side & how much higher the risk is of being heartbroken!
She clearly explained that it was the upcoming hometowns & family time that made her so uncomfortable. How can she introduce a man to her family as "the man I want to marry" and also rationalize "he might marry one of the other 3 women still on the show".
I mean COME ON that's a reasonable thing to freak out about! 😀
I think Charity dumping him really f***ed with his head and heart. He couldn't get passed Maria showing doubts and wanting to leave. It freaked him out. I get it. Women really need to research what they are getting into if they actually start to have real feelings, cuz it will be hard to deal with. Every winner has been confident in his/her love for the person. If you are confident, open, show no doubt and there is a physical attraction...that person will win.

Seeing the preview for next week and learning that Maria has never brought anyone home before made her insecurities make more sense to me. We all have moments of doubt but she was able to push through.

My final prediction= Joey ends up with Kelsey, having daisy break up with him because she’s still not in love with him. I think production was highlighting her so much throughout the season to set her up as the bachelorette, but everyone wants Maria as the bachelorette, so idk

I think the thing is more that Maria wasnt seeing or thinking of Joey at all during her meltdown. He deserves someone who knows hes solid and there 100 percent for his person and is sure its her. Kelsey A for the win.
Maria won’t be the chosen one in the end. She is real, which Joey likes, but also too unpredictable already. Daisy is also real which is why he has validated her. However I really hope it’s Kelsey who wins. She is the whole package and one that can challenge Joey and complement him

Maria has an anxious attachment style. Thais Gibson does TH-cam videos on Attachment. She would do well to heal this. She's bold, and direct (healthy)and somewhat manipulative (toxic). Work on attachment and the latter, she'll keep everyone one their toes.

We have to remember that the producers play a big role in what is happening. They could direct Maria into talking to him, give her some advise to create more drama.
Exactly! Kaitlyn Bristowe has described them as being extremely manipulative and really getting in her head. I’m a veteran and always imagine this being akin to boot camp, where you start believing what you’re told because you’re cut off from everything and essentially being abused. Your mind does what they want it to after a while
Honestly 95% of the time Maria has seemed like she is just acting. It wouldn’t shock me if production hasn’t tried to ask her to and say things I mean she does that fake voice thing constantly and was smiling as she walked off to fake cry. It’s so bad.

I think Joey reacted very immaturely here. He was clearly in his emotional brain state. I am hoping they both learn from this experience. However, I saw the moment Joey gave up on her and, unfortunately, there’s no turning back now. She did nothing wrong and I wish her the best.
"Either way, I'm going home." I thought if you have to leave the mansion or whatever country/city everyone is visiting, they simply go to some hotel where all the rejects have to wait until filming is over, so people at home don't know they're out of the running and see them around town. (I know that's how things go on The Amazing Race. The first team eliminated gets to spend six weeks on a vacation in some other international location.)
I think they do just go home, because it's not flimmed live, like they're already done with flimming when the show is released & ppl won't really know you till it starts airing
@@nataliacruz6354 I don't actually know. I was just conjecturing. But The Amazing Race isn't filmed live, either. But it and The Bachelor have to start at some point while the filming is still underway because they both have live finales. And what I'm suggesting is that if one of the early favorites in opening episodes (like the first impression rose recipient) is sent home and then goes home and is spotted out and about in their home town on their own or with friends, or god forbid dating, then that could spoil things when the episodes are aired.

I agree about Daisy. But I could understand how Maria was feeling. It was actually a sign she really likes him which I wasn't always sure about. But sometimes you have to judge for yourself how much you can take and whether it's good for you to keep going.
Maria really rubbed me the wrong way in this episode, which is a shame since she was one of my frontrunners up until this point. I don't like how she went about her conversation with Joey. What I don't understand is, what exactly did she want out of that conversation? Going into it and based on what she said I saw two options, that she either wanted to leave the show, or she wanted to hurt Joey in retaliation. It's pretty obvious that seeing him kiss another woman hurt her since she feels so strongly for him, but I think she should have sat with her feelings a bit longer before speaking with him about it. I think seeing him do that might have triggered her, she didn't do what she needed to do to sit with that trigger, and her manipulative side came out. It was clear that leaving the show was not her true intention, which is what her words indicated to Joey, so that leaves me with some options. Maybe she thought she'd want to in a moment of passion until she thought it through, or she wanted to hurt Joey.
Personally, I'm thinking she wanted to hurt him. Her tone of voice, phrasing, and quick switch-up indicated to me that she was coming from a place of anger instead of calm communication. Her phrasing was also oddly comparative to how parents or a controlling partner will take things away or do something as a form of "punishment" to their partner for a perceived wrong. Her setting the boundary of not kissing him should have come from a genuine place of being uncomfortable, instead of as a punishment to Joey. If that boundary came from a genuine place (and if she knows how to maintain healthy and firm boundaries), she wouldn't have violated her own boundary almost instantly. That quick switch-up does remind me of techniques some abusers use. They leave their partner or victim in a state of constant confusion so it will be easier to manipulate, control, and/or gaslight them.
Seeing this behavior from Maria is concerning. I'm not saying she is necessarily a manipulator, but I think it's fair to say it's at least a red flag. It's totally okay if you disagree, I'm seeing a pretty wide spectrum of opinions of her in the comments. But I hope it's at least universally acceptable to say she could have handled that a bit better. Her feelings were absolutely justified, valid, and even make perfect sense, but I think the heat of the moment clouded her head and made her say some things she didn't necessarily mean.
It seemed like a normal human reaction, she got jealous, she got hurt. If that reaction is a red flag, then we must all be redflags and none of us would qualify to date anyone, we all get hurt and not always perfect in real life.

Why even ponder the option of leaving with him and toy with his emotions just to walk away and come back saying nvm I'm staying, refusing to kiss him then kiss him? Super toxic. Super manipulative.
Yes. Maria flies off the handle, gives side eye, pouts, and that's why some of the ladies don't like her. Joey is finally seeing that. He could barely say her name at the end.
I really do like Maria, but in this instance I think she was trying to test him. I don't think she intended to leave at all, but she wanted him to think she was going to leave to see if he would beg her to stay.
Fuckkk red flags. No relationship is perfect. A woman saying she's not comfortable with a man she's falling in love with is making out with another woman in front of all is not a bad thing. The show makes it seem normal when it's not.
