Do these expensive Pro Boats come with Stuffing tube inside the drive dog ? In my Volantex RC boats, the flex shaft is inside the blue stuffing tube, and the stuffing tube inside the drive dog or main shaft. I've been told by experts at my club, you only need 2mm of gap between the prop, washer and drive dog. The washer accounts for 1mm and the washer should only move 1mm. This is to allow for shrinkage of the drive shaft as it moves under load. 5mm, means maybe the drive shafts are slipping more idk. I always take out the stuffing tube and regrease that before putting the flex shaft back through it.
Just bought some props from chris abs 1716 and octura x442 for my veles. Mark helped me through process with upgrades. Should b in the water this wkend. Once veles is done plan on getting miss geico. What props did u decide on running. I think I'm running 4 3s ppl r saying alot more stable at high speeds. Thx for any info.
I was running octura x447 on it when it took flight at about 90mph and came down real hard and busted her up bad.....ive rebuilt over the winter and haven't had it back on the water yet.i just ordered a set of abc1715 props for a zonda I just orderd and I plan on running on miss g too.let me know how the 1716 work out.i just posted a new vid today check it out!
Wow Max amps😗those suckers are expensive huh.those straps are from absolute hobbies and they cost 12 bucks I think.i run smc 7200 6s batt and they are only 115$.last time I looked up Max amps I about soiled my self😕.how much was your batts if you don't mind me asking?thanks
Man I have a geico 29 and rum my shaft to 2 mm because of water coming thru the tube after about 10minutes of run time.Flexshafts on these don’t give much at all and if you upgrade to the 4.7mm flexshaft they don’t break.Not sure if you ha e that issue with water but just suggestion if so.Wasn’t maybe a teaspoon but don’t want any in my boat if possible.
You know what I did? Charged my lipos and sent it. Not a single issue with her. Run after run... guess some are just built on Friday...loose shit everywhere.lololol
