    Some info for you brother... been building boats for well over 10 years so I'm not just talking. Do yourself a favor and get rid of the battery adapters you have on your ESC plugs. The resistance will melt them at 6 cells and possibly cause a failure or worse.. you also definitely don't need to replace your electronics to go faster. With a prop change and some attention to setup you can reach speeds near 100 with stock electronics. Take your time with adjustments and record everything you do so u can see improvement or if your change is hindering your performance. Good luck man. I like your videos. I have the same boat. Isn't she sweet!!!!

    • @LuisLPRCs
      @LuisLPRCs  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, Its my first boat so I'm still learning. Someone told me about the battery adapters Most of my lipos have Traxxas Connectors on them. I guess I have to dedicate some lipos just for this boat. I ran it on two 4S packs 100C. It did pretty well. I checked the connectors after the run. Everything was ok. When I took the top off a slight steam came out, but that was a little bit of water went in from me taking the top off. Knock on wood lol! I heard by changing the props to go faster can over heat the electronics if not wired correctly. Then other people tell me I'm better off with the stock props. Also the props have to be balanced. I seen some videos on that.

    • @FrankA-973
      @FrankA-973 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Luis L.P. RC's it will heat things up if you go to crazy with the props. But if you hit up Chris at dasboata on the web he will set u up with the best aftermarket props available. He's the master! He knows the proper pitch and diameter that will keep things safe. Pick yourself up a Rc speed meter to see how your adjustments are reacting. Sky rc makes a good one for 59$ you can pick it up from motionrc.com Good luck and happy boating.

    How come you got one line coming out the ESC going into the front of the motor jacket and then going out of the boat on the back side and they other going to the back of the motor on the back side and leaves the boat on the front side? Factory has both water hoses coming from the ESC to the front of the water jacket then the back hose leaving the boat. Would that make a difference in cooling. One video recommends do it like the Factory. You have one in the front they other on the back.

    • @LuisLPRCs
      @LuisLPRCs  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine is set to factory. All I did was put bigger lines for more water flow fir cooling. I changed all the lines.

    • @topgun5399
      @topgun5399 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LuisLPRCs well I have the same boat and both lines to the waterjacket were the same. But I guess it would not make a difference unless the jacket works only one way. I did change to bigger lines like you did but I'm skeptical weather that makes much difference. Some rc boat guys went with a dual pickup rudder others drilled holes in the bottom of the boat for extra line pickups me I'm staying with what you did. Don't like drilling holes and don't want to sped more money on a rudder. What you did should be fine .more volume of water logically should take care of the heat. Will try it out this spring since I'm not 100% if rhat will do. See you in the spring then I will give my review lol

    Love this boat, nice vid. But will the bigger tube make any real difference when the couplings still are the small types? Will it not be a bottle neck anyways?

    • @LuisLPRCs
      @LuisLPRCs  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, it will make a difference in cooling, but not a huge difference. Now more cool water will be in those tubes. Those Esc's get hot fast. I'm going to be running it on 6S so every little thing helps

    • @williamwelsh739
      @williamwelsh739 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Will make no difference, will bottle neck

    • @daneav8
      @daneav8 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will bottleneck. No different than having a funnel with a super wide opening and a small discharge tube....you can pour as much fluid into the funnel as you want, but it’s only going to pour out the discharge end at a certain rate. The tubes between the ESCs are still the same size, so no improvement to cooling at all...just a reduction in cash in your wallet. The only way to improve cooling would be to increase the volume of water going through tube, thus the heat removal capability of the water. This can only be done by either increasing the cooling line size of entire system, or if unable to do that, increasing pressure of the water flowing through system to increase the flow rate. But the pressure is controlled by the speed of boat, so that is a fixed value as well.

  • @alexkorn6036
    @alexkorn6036 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Would making the water intake hole bigger help with keeping the esc and motor cooler?

    • @LuisLPRCs
      @LuisLPRCs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can get better pic-ups if you like or add a extra line. It all depends how your going to run your boat. In this video all I did was get bigger lines.

  • @uwekessner7394
    @uwekessner7394 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I also bought one, must say looks beautiful on the outside, the inside of the hull leaves a lot of quality open, a lot of air and open pieces of fiberglass, very poorly finished on the inside, treated it with Kevlar so that the hull has its strength and pressure plates applied at the rudder and suspensions made everything water-tight. a lot of work but it pays off, it should all have been good in this latest version 2020 but is not the case.
    With an unboxing video, the inside Hull processing should also be looked at.
    The quality of the polyester Hull inside is definitely not quality worthy.

      I did not had these issues with mine. I guess the factory worker that put that boat together was bad. I put the square foams that came in the box in the hull. I just cut them to size and fits perfectly. I really dont have issues with mine. I guess I got lucky with a good batch.

    Hey bro I just wanted to know why you used the stock outlets after upgrading the tubing cause it is still not pushing out much water cause the stock outlets are have small holes I bought m8 water outlets for my veles 29 there holes for the water to pass though are at least twice as big allowing more water to flow freely also what about the water line going to the the water pick up how did you upgrade where it comes into the boat? Cause it's bigger tubing just curious bro cause I will be upgrading mine soon and looking for some pointers

    • @LuisLPRCs
      @LuisLPRCs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      All I did was upgrade the tubing to the next size up. So more water goes in for cooling. It makes a small difference, but everything helps. This boat has mad power and heats up if your just messing around going slow. This boat needs to run fast. But for better results you can get bigger pic-ups and add a second line. It all depends on how your going to run it.
