I really love Govee but I really like how you can set the camera far away with these. I'll probably wait until they make the calibration easier but I definitely wanna try them at some point.
Hi Giovanni, you can place the camera anywhere in the room. It doesn't have to stay in front of the TV. The calibration is quite easy, but if you need any help, our technical support can assist you with pleasure :)
I think it would look better if the TV wasn't as close to the wall or if the kit had more LEDs and they were closer together. Maybe this kit is more suited to a TV on a stand/console. I can tell that the individual LEDs are turning on and off (reminds me of an Xmas tree) and changing colours, flickering, which I find distracting. Especially in fast paced scenes. The effect isn't as ambient in this particular case. Not saying its a bad kit but perhaps not universally suited to all set ups.
The power adapter cord has 1.5m and the camera communicates wirelessly with the LED strip controller so that you can place it anywhere in the room. Greetings :)
Nice vid. Good to see more options for tv backlights. Also saw a newsletter from opolar showing off a new one from light mi giving away testers for reviewers. Maybe see if you can get one and do a review on it? It's called the "Light Mi Neo Sync Box & TV Backlight Kit"
very happy to see your content, the content is vry good, it is very inspiring for me, one support from me for you, brother, hopefully in the future you will be patient and successful and we can continue to make friends👍🥰🇮🇩🇮🇩
How would you rate this over the Govee setup for accuracy and film content where black bars feature at the top and bottom of the screen ? I have the first gen Govee and the back lights would normally stay white for the most part. Does this do a better job ?
It's good product but a real hassle to setup they haven't really evolved beyond this, I'd say Govee's new Envisual T2 TV Backlight Immersion Kit is better th-cam.com/video/1nE1JJjcZtc/w-d-xo.html
Can it be slower and more calm? Once a while back I did the same and I think it should be slow on dim out the lights or shift the colors else it is that nervous and not relaxing
Mate can u consider review this or any other smart window opener. Can't find a review on TH-cam . Zemismart Tuya Zigbee Motorized Window Opener. Cheers
Look…take it from me because I’ve owned both the Govee Immersion and the Ambivision Pro since April, and let me tell you: THERE REALLY IS NO COMPARISON!!! The Ambivision Pro is just far much better in its on screen accurate color reproduction, features, and options!!! I tried to save a few dollars by going Govee, and it’s very good until you see The Ambivision Pro!! Much, much better! I have now put the Govee Immersion on my grandkids TV because they just enjoy the colors and they are happy with it, and then I put the best…The Ambivision Pro on my ‘Man Cave’ TV where the ‘King’ is totally content!😀
Internet connection is obviously required for firmware updates. For normal use and control, a router is enough (it can be without an internet connection). Greetings :)
the support doesn't answer anymore, they are pissing me off. I have issues where the Camera Gain doesn't remember the camera gain settings and it makes the screen all green. if I go to the camera settings it instantly updates the correct settings. and they don't answer 1 month and when they do they don't fix anything!! I am pissed.
Everything was perfect until I got to the app part. For some reason after I type the Wi-Fi and password into the app it dosent work. Rendering the setup impossible. I’m on Netgear guest Wi-Fi if that makes diff
It seems to be the best alternative to true Ambilight. But, just like the Philips Syncbox, it is still nowhere near as good as a true Philips Ambilight TV.
Yep, no worth it to compare it to Philips Hue, but this is not even close to Govee, maybe the only real advantage is that it can be used to a bigger range of tv sizes, but for quality is too low
@@samuelgomez974 the led strip is cheap the power supply is cheap and who wants there tv so far from the wall and then have to go through all that set up. If you have a PC just get 2 light bars and philips hue Bridge.
Seems there's a bunch of people with stock in Govee here. None of the camera based systems are going to be very good when compared with a sync box, the Phillips solution costs WAY too much (laughably so--it would cost me like, $600 to do my tv, and I already have Phillips throughout my house), and the Light Mi doesn't support more than 30Hz refresh rate at 4K (I've also heard that it doesn't support HDR either, though that wasn't mentioned in this guy's review of it). There are work arounds for some issues with those, but it seems the best affordable solution is still to build your own with a capture card and Raspberry Pi. I just REALLY don't feel like doing it with all of the other projects I have going on at the moment, but it seems like that's what I'm going to have to do 😑. Why can't some company just do this right at a reasonable price? It's not that difficult, but I just don't have time, personally. Very frustrating 🤬
@@Senni1986 Downside being it won't work with smart Tv apps since they don't have an external HDMI signal. I could see these cameras being better for that type of video situation.. but still not ideal for the reasons menitoned.
I bought the Ambivision Pro system just over a year ago, and I’m really disappointed. The LED strip started glitching and is now completely unusable. Customer support has been extremely slow and, so far, unwilling to replace or reimburse the product. For the price, I expected much better quality and service. I can’t recommend this product-be cautious before buying!
Honestly, it looks pretty bad, i would say its way better to for the govee, the saturation and the color sync/ reproduction even worse than the v1 of the Govee so nowdays no worth to get this kind of quality
Whatt?? Goove looks like it generates often random delayed colors what disrupts attention a lot. Good to do side by side comparision to check both with the same content. Eyestrain and deadzone settings might do a difference, but it is possible to check this way.
This product looks like an expensive copy attempt from Govee Immersion. I do not see the advantages over Govee Immersion but I do see a price four times higher. Not attractive. Perhaps the only advantage is that it can be implemented in small televisions from 32 to 55 inches. The rest I do not see.
Actually, Govee is copy of AmbiVision :) It was a project funded on kickstarter or indiegogo few years ago. Probably that's a reason why it is more refined and looks like they use better quality components(optics and higher resolution of the LEDs).
@@GeekStreet we’ll, I don’t have the Govee to compare, have the Hue, but on the videos of Govee it looks way better on color reproduction, color sync and even the lag is shorter. This one looks just like a non finished product or a prototype
@@samuelgomez974 there is no comparison!!! Ambivision Pro is so much better! Please take it from me, because I have both devices! The Ambivision beats Govee in every capacity!!!
