This was the most complete documentary I've seen on The Golden Dawn. Love that all credit doesn't go to Crowley! All other documentaries inflate his influence.
I'm only 18 minutes in and now I wish I didn't have to go this meeting. There's a slower, more methodical pace for this one, and not only does it stand out on its own, the content of this one is laid out in riveting fashion.

Very interesting, thanks. It's good to see a non-sensationalized documentary on the GD. There's a really good book called The Magicians of the Golden Dawn by Ellic Howe, full of fascinating detail and analysis.
I used Howe's work in the research for this. I'm very familiar with it, but Howe himself is very cynical and at times snide, indicating his own bias on the subject. R.A. Gilbert is I think a more balanced author on the subject. Tony Fuller is by far my favorite GD historian.
@@arcanvm You're right, Howe does exhibit some of the biases of mid-century British academics, but I've always been the type to read the bad reviews first, lol. Even when it's something I'm generally well-disposed towards.
The presentation, information and aesthetic were really top notch here. Most of these documentaries are over sensationalized and trying too hard to increase shock value through unverified rumor or lore. You found a nice pace and delivery system that works well! Cheers m8!
I am not sure that the inscription in Kingford's book is enough evidence to tag her for the identity. It's compelling info, but she WAS in the order of the supposed S.D.A, so there could be some reason for the inscription we don't know about.
