    1) rejection
    2) Being humiliated or vulnerable
    3) Losing control over you
    4) Being exposed
    I would add to this list the “fear of death”.

    A Narcissist is afraid of being wrong and losing control. It amazed me the lengths my Ex would go to to have the last word. He called it 'stubborness'. I called it abuse. 🍒

    All these fears that narcissists experience makes difficult to talk to them and deal with their wrongdoings.
    In therapy when I was talking about his lies and cheating, and brought up facts that confirmed an affair that he has been denying because he got away with it for 25 years, as he was not able to respond to my questions, he started to talk about not wanting to live anymore. I noticed he does this every time he can’t handle shame. As you said he doesn’t fear what he does, he just hopes he doesn’t get caught; and this is the kind of thinking he grew up, also, this explains why his brother usually does things that doesn’t follow rules or laws.

    Early on in my marriage, I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me that I was saddled and overburdened with debt. How did it happen? It was everyone else's fault, they talked me into going to college. Only unwise/uneducated people are bad with finances, so what's going wrong with me? Maybe I'm not special. And that's when it hit me, maybe I'd like to be an average person. Maybe I prefer that. Maybe I need to read financial literature and gain knowledge like a normal person. It was a pivot point for me, things have never been the same since. Now that recently my Father's been exposed as a covert narcissist, I understand where those thoughts came from and what to watch out for. It's so easy to get wrapped up in the praise of others.

    My narcissist was cruel and cheated while I lost my parent. He said he didn't remember my illness but ghosted me. Now he tried to talk like nothing has ever happened and say "love me." I was doing so good. This has me confused if I thought he was a narcissist.

    Darkness, people being angry with them for vulnerables. Not caring about rules for psychpathic narcissist. But if everyone knew what they were they would run a mile to get away because the victim stance wouldn't work for them. They have high rejection sensativity. And you say "no i can't hang with you i'm busy". Ill call you next week. They are like what is more important than me. Smear occurs. If they hoover you and you say yes they will punish you in the most imfantile way possible- like the schoolyard bully.

    Great point about being average etc. At one work place seemed like the boss hated the concept of "doing the best I can", and sometimes average is enough. In his eyes it seemed like the worker had failed because he was always expecting extra excitement and something bombastic. So many times I was losing great amounts of time from my work if we worked on something together because just getting something done so we can move forward was not an option, it had to be excellent, then we can move forward.

    I'm not quite sure if my person is a narc he might be he might be a sociopath I was wondering if talking himself out of everything is one of the traits of being a narcissist or sociopath ? He seems to be able to talk his way out of anything even with the court officials and probation officer is like he gets in trouble and then he gets out of it or he is expected to do something and then he doesn't do it and he doesn't get any consequences for it and it's like he knows that he's not going to get any consequences so he just does whatever he wants!

      I think it's more of an over reaction to a perceived slight. Where most people would laugh it off, but a narc will punish the person.
      In my family, we learned to never embarrass Dad in front of his friends, because he would dish out a physical punishment. It was never just talking back or something you deserved to be punished for. It was like if you said something and somebody laughed and my dad perceived it has they were laughing at him. Then you were in big trouble.

    My Scorpio claims that I abandoned him Swears up and down that I abandoned him though he left me! I don't think he realizes that I'm not fucking stupid to the shit that he's doing! I got ghosted last night! Because I didn't answer my phone though I didn't get the messages until today! I've been IS MY CHILD! And we'll cry about it. We'll talk about it. We get triggered but never d😮oes he ever talk about the things that he does. It's like it d😅oesn't. I can always remember saying that he is powerful. I would just say that I don't know where you're powerful. You don't know how powerful you are!! Good night in a good way. He uses his power for bad like he's really really vindictive and any sign of attack on his emotions. Just the slightest instability in his emotions. He's going for revenge and sometimes he gets he's uuummm an alcoholic too! Smfh

    I have CPTSD. I want to absorb the knowledge that Ben is talking about, and I try very hard to do just that. But he talks so fast that I can't. I go back 10 or 20 seconds so many times to hear that again, or make sure of what he just said that I am tired by the time I get finished with the videos. I want to sign up for the classes he offers, but I would be wasting my money. I feel frustrated with myself, but that's where I am with my healing path. Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the speed on my cell phone? I want to learn and heal. 😮

    Okay, so I’ve just told my ex narcissist that he’s no longer allowed to hug my daughter in public, because it’s not fair for her, that he thinks I’m using the kids against him. Is it not fair that he still hugs my daughter & gets that emotional fix, but is trivial to me & keeps the emotional attachment to my daughter (not biologically his), OR is it fair that I say come on now, enough is enough, it’s been a year now, you can move along? I’m not trying to hurt him or whatever but it’s like you can be like this towards people & then still have what you want ie access to my daughter. I’m so fucken confused now

    • @annaconcepcion1249

      Not only in public, but MOST ESPECIALLY in private! Get your daughter far, far away from the narc! He knows you don't like him doing it, AND SO he will keep doing it. Plus it's malicious. Protect your daughter, please! Go No Contact and Stay No Contact!

    • @kyle2034
      @kyle2034 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      This post breaks my heart, it sounds like he's using your own empathy against you to stay relevant in your life by making you feel bad for keeping him from your daughter. It's not even his daughter and your daughter shouldn't go anywhere near him. Each time you respond to him it's an opportunity to suck you back into the drama. The only way out is to go no-contact and definitely getting some therapy.
      This guy sounds like a real piece of work, you need to move on with your life. The best time to go no-contact was a year ago. The next best time is today.

    • @RawMotivations
      @RawMotivations  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You need to protect you and her. If it's violating her then yes he shouldn't have access to her. If he is toxic he doesn't get to be in their lives.

    THIS IS HUMANITIESPERSONALITYS AND LOOK AT THE DIFFERENT TYPES AND YOU WILL FINDYOURSELFS I ask that you please DO NOT DENY IT.
    Overt narcissism: arrogant. Entitled, overbearing, having an exaggerated self-image, needing to be praised and admired, exploitative, competitive, lacking empathy
    Covert narcissism: expressions of low self-esteem, higher likelihood of experiencing anxiety, depression, and shame, introversion, insecurity or low confidence, defensiveness, avoidance, tendency to feel or play the victim
    Antagonistic narcissism: arrogance, the tendency to take advantage of others, tendency to compete with others, disagreeability or proneness to arguing
    Communal narcissism: become easily morally outraged, describe themselves as empathetic and generous, and react strongly to things they see as unfair
    Malignant narcissism: vindictiveness, sadism, or getting enjoyment from the pain of others, aggression when interacting with other people, paranoia, or heightened worry about potential threats
    Adaptive narcissism refers to aspects of narcissism that can actually be helpful, like high self-confidence, self-reliance, and the ability to celebrate yourself.
    Maladaptive narcissism is connected to traits that don’t serve you and can negatively impact how you relate to yourself and others. For example, entitlement, aggression, and the tendency to exploit others.
