Just wanted to say I've watched quite a few of your videos and I have to say I'm highly impressed with your craftsmanship. All of your models are absolutely beautiful. The level of detail that is by your work is nothing short of phenomenal. I've learned a few things from watching your videos. I used to build model kits when I was a teenager. Then life happened and 30+ years later and I'm getting back into it. Slowly but surely. It's a great hobby to have. Thanks for sharing your videos. And by the way, yes I'm subscribed 🙂
Hey there youngster, I would appreciate if you shared your glue and paint choices. I’m an old dog but I can still learn new tricks. Oh, by the way, I watch you for hours at a time I have pretty much every model that you’ve built in my closet, waiting to be built. Well, like I said I enjoy glad I found you take care. Have a great night. By the way my name is Billy.
This is the hot rod magazine street chevy truck with tpi option and tinted glass, also this is the billy carter billy beer truck with parts omitted. Its nice to see to see it out again
Nice build Chris! This is a great kit for a beginner, but also a great starting point for someone who wants to get creative go all out. It was re-issued in the 2000's as a Basic Builder. I built the Hot Rod Issue over 30 years ago and it still looks great.
Less rounds bigger caliber, small caliber more rounds! ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO CHRIS! So many tinted windshields today everywhere i go 🤷🏻♂️ tinted headlight covers too

Hey Chris that’s awesome build I can’t wait for it to be available at modelroundup I’m currently working on a Belvedere I get it done I will send you some pictures of it keep up the awesome videos
This build is actually pretty good and I am interested in building this kit eventually, but I kind of wished they rereleased their Thunderbird SC instead
Great job Chris. Good to have you back from your travels. I'm sorry that Revell kit is lacking so much. You would think those details would have been remedied by now.
That's asweet looking truck Chris. I really like that Star Spangled Blue. I used it on a couple of my own cars. You're in good with round2. Ask them if the could make licenses plate decals for Iowa. The county's I would like to see would be Black Hawk and Pottawatomi counties.
I'm modifying a 4x4 version into a 2wd to match my '79 I've had for 25 years. Robbed parts from 4 kits so far to do it. Just need some chrome cragers now
I cut the upper and lower A arms and spindles off of a 55 chevy model I had and cut the lift blocks off the rear leaf springs it came with to get the ride height. Now it has the right rake
I started with 78 gmc big game kit for fleetside bed. The 76 chevy sport for the grill and few other parts and engine from the sod buster kit. Sorry the front end is from 56 Belair kit not a 55
@@frankonthetank3796 thanks! Not sure if you've seen it, but there is a seller on shapeways that sells a correct grille for the '77-'79 trucks in 1/24.
Now I recall an earlier release of this kit - I had a copy of Revell's 1993 catalogue and this truck was in a set with a racing powerboat and trailer, and I think there was another variant of it as well elsewhere in the line up. However, it's always nice to see the old kits come back, especially if some of the features that definitely wouldn't fly now have been upgraded.
Looks great. I never liked the Corvette style roll pan that was originally in the kit, but I think they should have left it in there in case someone else did.
This is about a kit I'd like to see if they have it, a 72 grand Prix Hurst edition. Did they make the kit if do you think they would, and also would like to see the 1990 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 K1500 regular cab short bed
I have a question. Will the cab of this truck work with the truck bed of the Big Game Country kit? I've been trying to find a "Scottsdale cab with the Scottsdale emblem on it and this would work perfectly if this kit and the Big Game /country kit could be kitbashed. Please let me know. Thanks!
I order most of my supplies from MegaHobby, I gotta be overlooking something. Probably because I've never used it before, you mention it quite often decal sealer. Can you give me manufacturer and what it's called.
Sheez, I do that all the time, start doing something and then forget what the hell I’m doing, damn I hate that too! But I’m an old man Chris, I have 18 years on you. Just saying…… it’s a “B” getting old!!
Its an old outdated kit. I have seen some super low straight axle cars but its the old 50s trucks and some high boy roadsters. Not a fan of the sun roofs though.
i am not really impressed by this kit watching you build this kit and the problems you had with assembbly i will not waste my money buying this kit poor quality revell

I built this model in 80's-90's and i still have it.
True Artists can make an old kit look great.

I show all th epaints I use within the video, on screen.
I use Plastruct Bondene for plastic to plastic and super glue for final assemblies.
That Chevy Street truck came out looking amazing! Excellent!
I wish I could do mine that good
I had those wheels on a 76 Nova. American Racing Wheels "Gamblers"... good to see them in this kit.
Looks great - love the color you chose. Always appreciate all the tips you give on these.
Glad you like them!

Another great build Chris, it looks awesome.
That Squarebody Stepside Chevy Model Kit Would Be Neat Idea As Pro Street Drag Truck Build
I really like that truck Chris! Well done! Mine is pre ordered! 😎👍
This build is actually pretty good and I am interested in building this kit eventually, but I kind of wished they rereleased their Thunderbird SC instead
Nice looking truck Chris! Tasteful custom look. Looks like something I’d like to add to my collection. 😎
Love it Chris! Wonderful build.

Your rear fenders are on backwards that groove you mentioned goes toward the back.
Just notice why didnt fit!

Awesome another kit re-poped for the 20th time!!! Oh oh but wait it has new tooled wheel's... No way and new Decal's as well!!!
Super nice stepside!
Nice build

Awesome build lv it
Great job .love it
That’s the heartbeat years
I see this kit as my chance to rebuild the Ice Patrol Chevy from the late 70's. Seems very similar...

Bet you have some Ramada Inn bath towels too. 😁
Straight axle for drag racing, rat rod . Sunroof looks ok but should be an option. Other than that it’s a cool truck.
Gotta get it !!!

They are 2 different scales. So no they won't
You can use the cab from the Chevy Sport pickup. The truck on the box is a metallic red brown/bronze color. Revell 85-4486
@@JoslinModels still 2 different scales
@@deutschland6022 the big game pickup and the Chevy Sport pickup are both 1/24 scale
@@JoslinModels ya sorry. I thought he wanted to use the 1/25 scale bed. I just read his comment again
I’d get some Cool Steel Chevy 20’s for it , and can the Truck have A level lowered ride height ?
I’d like to find A Stock front & Rear Chrome bumpers any ideas ?
have the forgetting problem often--hear thats a sign of "old age"
The tire tree. Chris your a nut. I still laughing at that.

They should have updated the front axel and engine
TY
Ive been wanted to ask you forever. How do you decide what subassemblies can be assembled before paint? Thanks for the content.
I build so many that it's second nature, but test fitting helps me know what I can glue first and paint and what should wait until final fitments.
The wheels are Centerline Champ 500's, This used to be the Revell Hot Rod Magazine Truck.
Chris, if they re-release you, will you come with new parts?🤪😜🤣
On mine the rear end wont match up with the wheel cutouts of the fenders
Leafs backwards?
I have the real version of this truck. Gonna do my paint scheme and strips to match only I got indy 101u wheels

Why would they have the sunroof already cut out? Who would put a straight axle and leaf springs under the front of a lowrider?
Its an old outdated kit. I have seen some super low straight axle cars but its the old 50s trucks and some high boy roadsters. Not a fan of the sun roofs though.
This truck would look great over the pulled pork 78 blazer pulling truck
Cool kit! Maybe cut the roof off and make it a convertible
I first built this kit in 88 it hasn't changed at all.
I would like to see a stock shortwide kit.
Thats funny.. You are living in a time zone there in Wisconsin..!! Mullets and What on the girls?
Crispy bangs. The ones held up with a bottle of aquanet.
Lol😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@hpiguy- mullets are back in style…the bangs not so much 😂
The dents in the mirrors look like there are some missing chrome parts that should mount on them to represent the glass. Revell where are they?
They're in a bottle of silver paint😂

Hi
This must be A Real Rare Set or theirs A Shortage because I sure haven’t seen one
Too bad that front axle always breaks.
it is not a bad kit i am not impressed by the engine i would do a after market engine
Last 10 minutes of video went black could not see finish of build.
No problems here. TH-cam sometimes does that and you have to close the video and reopen it.
