Finding that bottle top with broken glass is a good example of why wearing gloves is so important! I once dug a target and it was the end of an arrow with the razor sharp broadhead still attached! Great video as always Gin! I worked and "played" in Georgia for several years. Got many nice and old "permissions" and had some great finds! The ONLY problem is, that I now struggle with hunting the tot lots and parks as a result! LOL! I've found enough clad over the years to purchase a new detector (and I did!)! I always enjoy my hunts but really miss the old, historic finds of Georgia and South Carolina! Happy Hunting to you and all of my fellow detectorists!
I’m sure some people think my gear is overkill, but I can’t imagine hunting without gloves. I also wear dive boots at the beach because I don’t want to risk stepping on something like that. I haven’t had the chance to do any relic hunting in Georgia or South Carolina yet, but would sure love to. Hopefully soon. I think I’m fortunate that relic hunting hasn’t ruined me on the simpler spots like parks and tot lots, but I think the reason is that it really thrills me to find jewelry and older coins. I know some detectorists couldn’t care less about that kind of stuff, but I love it….especially jewelry. Might be a girl thing. 🤣🙃🍀
@@LuckyGin I also wear the dive boots when I hunt the beach or surf. I like to wear knee pads as well! I once dug up a hypodermic needle at a tot lot! I don't know what it is that attracts "drug users" to kid's playgrounds but strangely, it does. Of course, like all trash, I hauled it out with me. Don't get me wrong Gin, I still enjoy ALL detecting and like you, I love finding the jewelry. I try to find the older tot lots or school yards for the potential for older coins. My first two Indian Head pennies I found on the edge of a tot lot in Tennessee! As you know, perseverance is the to our hobby. You have to dig a lot of trash for the occasional piece of treasure! Again, happy and safe hunting to you!😊
Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest my friend. 🙂 I’ve been way behind on replying to comments, but have been meaning to reply to some of your comments on the Wild West videos. I saw that you were familiar with some of the spots and it made me wonder if you had any suggestions for other places I should check out the next time I head west. I’ll be hitting the beaches over the summer, but hoping to get a second western trip in during the fall.
@@LuckyGin I lived all over that area Wy. Ne. and S.D., a couple of times in houses that were right on the former Oregon trail. I found many an old medicine bottle digging in my back yards. There lots of small dying towns along Hwy. 30 that you could probably score some property hunts on some old house sites, dating back from1900 on.

My uncle and I were surf fishing on Sanibel Island, Florida in August 1961. He saw something that had washed up on shore. It was a piece of eight broken in half.
The butterfly knows good folks when it lands on them 🙂Great treasures and more treasure than trash...How about adding up the value of the coins...That way we can figure out how much you can re-coup the cost of our entertainment. As for heading to the beach...Hope it's in South East Fla... I know some great paces to search.
Hey Gin, I always like watching your videos. I am kind of envious in how much you travel. I wish I could travel that much. On one of your upcoming metal detecting escapades you should try the "Treasure Coast" of Florida if you haven't already been there. Some of the beautiful beaches I have been to are "Bathtub" Reef Beach & "Tiger" Shores beach in Martin county Florida. So may seashells on those beaches so you may have to bring a big shovel with you.
Great hunt Gin, it looked hot. It has finally warmed up in Montana and we are in the 80s. I enjoy your videos and look forward to a beach video. Good hunting.
Love the Sherlock Holmes. I have a few metal detecting subs. None of them have one. They rely on the camera focus which works but the glass allows quick ID for you. To each their own. 🔎 👍👍
Gin the goodies are in the water about chest deep. I use to detect lakes alot at the end of swimming season. In NJ we had to get permits and the first day after the swimming season ended we all hit the lakes. Many were in State Parks. Al, NJ
I’m sure the Tennessee lakes are full of goodies out in the water, but they are under federal control and metal detecting isn’t allowed in the water. Literally that little section of sand is the only part where I’m allowed to detect. It’s so frustrating. Tennessee is not the most detector friendly state.
I read through all the comments and didn't see any mention to your beach hunting outfit. So I'll be the first...... WoW 😘 The videos are always great. I enjoyed it, thanks for the hard work you put into bringing us these videos.

Yes, Nice hunt Lucky!! About what you'd expect on a public lake beach I think. The detector sounds very accurate you are using. With every find, I'm hoping you pull up the huge find. I know you will!!

Very nice day and great finds. You definitely know your signal sounds and detecting settings! Do you ever use the scoop to sift the sand for your targets instead of dumping it out?
Gin, I suggest you try detecting in the water, about waist deep. Rings are more likely to slip off in the water, plus there will be fewer pull tabs and bottle caps. Just a suggestion :-)
