@guyinarobe228 yes, but it also make the video grainy and of low quality. Dark effects can be added later. When my friend was making “bravo going dark” kind of scenes everything was shot during the day and in the final movie, it was dark no moon night.

Warhammer 40K actually isn't that unprogressive. It has female space marines and ork girlbosses. Progressive ideals are making their way throughout the 40K universe and that's always a good thing.

You couldn't have Space Marines looking like females even if you tried. Those things are so pumped with steroids, gene enhancers, muscle/fat ratio, etc... My own personal head cannon is that you have women in the Astartes. Or at least people that started as women. The transition is brutal on the appearance.
As for orks... They are basically fungus. They don't either have male or female. I'm pretty sure they are unisex. As for gender expression, they'd only adopt the concept it it helped fighting in some ways (even gender wars wouldn't be as efficient as good ol' "hit anything that hits back!" Moto of the orks.
Now about progressive ideas in 40k : yes. They are important
We need to see characters pushing for progressive ideas to change their factions way of functioning. And then we need to see them brutally murdered, martyred, eaten by Tyranids or corrupted by chaos. Because this is 40k. It's grim dark. Every light of hope must be snuffed out eventually. In the grim darkness of the future, there is only war...
Makes you more appreciative of actual progressive policies in the real world.
