@@MidnightGeek99 Yeah. When this case launched 11 years ago or so,people didn't really had the white case trend yet so the black one sold better. Higher refresh rates do work on XP with Kepler and Maxwell, but only on Displayport. Could not get it working on HDMI or DVI. Also, the latest driver (368.81) is broken in that regard, you must use version 355.98. On my GTX 970, I get 1920x1080 at 100 Hz, and 1440x1080 or lower at 120 Hz. That rig also dual boots to Windows 7, where everything works at 144 Hz.

Dang, that's almost my old computer, just a couple of brand differences, and the motherboard was an Asus Sabertooth x58. It was my primary machine from like...2011 to 2022, though in the last two years of that I upgraded the CPU to a Xeon X5660. X58 platform was amazing for longevity.

I second you opinion that Nvidia for XP is worse in terms of compatibility than Ati/AMD. I've got two XP PCs - one with a GTX750Ti and another one with an HD7750 and the latter plays ANYTHING I throw at it from the 98/XP era (driver v13.1 - totally recommended) unlike the one with Nvidia... if no one said it before, watch for the physX option on borderlands, it does not run well on AMD cards. its a Nvidia feature. i played borderlands 2 on a gtx 650ti at the time, and it was above 60fps all the time with PhysX off.
I was using Radeon HD 7770 in my XP machine until I switched to GTX 970. Paired with C2D E8400 it's a bit overkill, sure. But why am I typing this? Native 75Hz refresh isn't a problem.
