  • In this video I go though the coolant bleeding process for a 2010 to 2013 BMW X5M and X6M, with the S63 engine.
    The original factory directions are:
    1. Press ignition button with foot off brakes, do not start the engine
    2. Turn climate control on maximum and heater to highest setting.
    3. Turn heater fan speed to minimum
    4. Press has pedal for no more than 10 seconds
    5. The auxiliary water pump is suppose to start, it never has for me, even using variations of the directions above, on two separate X5Ms.
In his video, I go through my process, which works every time.
Affiliate link ink to the allen key set used in the video.

Worked perfectly in my 2013 X6M. I could not get the TBIS directions to work.

My 2012 X5M does not have the bleeding screws on the plastic T’s.

I saw another video that said the door lock is another step needed for the factory prime sequence.

Wait for it to warm up. Heater at highest temperature, fan on low. Hope it helps.

Why is coolant green? It should be blue
