For Astarion, just bite a hireling. They dont care, the bloodless debuff doesn't matter since they're only in camp and you need to use a slot or waste the item's daily use.
Ok. Yesterday i bitten Hireling 2nd time (just wanted to heal, from stealth, not to damage him). Whole home-squad got angy and nuked Astarion (couldn't leave camp so only option was to die/reload)
I use "Hold Person" on the vendor after I have a char enter Dialog with the trader. Then because of the dialog the spell HP DOES NOT tic down! So you can go ham without fail. Works every time. ALSO you can split the traders gold in the barter screen on the traders side by left click and shift dragging the gold into a empty spot. I split it to 200g to 600g depending on proficiency pickpocket lvl. That way your rolls will have a much high success rate! Ya welcome! 😁
I just discovered that you can make an enemy get the 'Brittle' debuff if you hit them with an ice spell while they are on fire. It makes them vulnerable to blunt and thunder damage, in addition to taking 2d6 cold damage a turn until it runs out.
In case you didn’t know, produce flame can light things like oil under you while active. I found this out when I walked into the Zhentarim hideout for the first time and blew everyone up. Also good for having light on your person in early act 2 instead of holding a torch. Also, Asmodeus tieflings get it level 1. Edit note: I remembered that I lit the terrain under me before patches 2 and 3 so idk if it was changed.
1:36 This is no longer the case and has probably been patched out. If you put the weapon down the buff disappears. In addition, the real power is once per long rest 2 turns with only critical hits for a bonus action
4:02 just to add to this, if you can find the Holy Lance Helm which on miss causes the enemy to succeed a dex save or be hit with radiant damage and you pair it with both radiating orb armors, you can make an extremely fun tank build where each time they try and attack you they will get a radiating orb stack unless they save against the radiant damage it's also worth pairing it with other items such as The Boots of Story Clamour which apply Reverberation to any enemy you inflict with a condition
displacement cloak or anything else that generates disadvantage for enemies is also a great addition to this. also with an adamantine shield you can send them reeling for missing you, aka an extra -1 to hit
@@kurtcobane1762 good luck! do keep in mind that you can get the cloak of displacement only in act 3 (or earlier if you cheat it in with mods, i spose)
There is a resonanse sphere in the second act of the game that gives you aura of advantage on physycal saving throws and disadvantage on mental saves. If you are already wearing risky ring, than you get no extra disadvantages and can carry it with you to make enemies vulnerable to your control magic, although they will more likely pass physycal saves at the same time.
While technically elf/half elf clerics can get firebolt, it always scales with intelligence, not wisdom. So unless you specced your cleric into int, it's usually going to miss.
You forgot one: level 6 spell “heal” heals the dark urges mind some, where they have a scene where they remember being at a park when they were a kid with adoptive parents. I’m not sure if there are other triggers to this scene, but I got it the first time I used “heal” from Shadowheart on my dark urge.
The scarlet remittance trick with non living items can be applied to the necromancer staff in act 3. The staff you get by killing the guy with his organs in jars... I literally turned my gale into necromancer and could use level 6 and 5 necromancy spells or blight at level 6 on every turn. PS there's also a ring which makes all enchantment actions into bonus action I have that on my gale. Then in act 3 you get a spore druid armour capable of producing haste spore, as per it's narration it can do so once per long rest however at the moment you can reapply it whenever you use the spore extra health shapechanger ability. It also works even if you take off the robe after casting the symbiotic ability once while wearing it.

I’m trying to do the selûne’s dream robbery on the githyanki vender. She’s way more resilient to sleep than the past vender I used it on. My issue is the 2 successful times out of 18 attempts, the two guards start attacking the moment she falls asleep. I’m in turn based. I’ve tried both casting darkness over just the vender and my party AND over everyone including the guards. Every time I actually succeed in sleeping her, the one who casts it gets attacked, forcing the others in my party out of turn based there by waking her up to run out of the smoke I know it still works. I think. Tried it on a goblin and it seemed to work. But he was the only npc around
They semi-patched scarlet remittance. You can still get it from objects, but the dagger has to stay equipped now. Off-hand is fine. It also doesn’t matter if you use the dagger to kill anything, just having it equipped is enough
It's amazing what you can figure out in this game. Just saw a short (that I still don't understand) where someone healed the paralyzed chic in the Grove with Drow poison. Something about the sleep status.....I have no idea, but it's cool.
Produce flame is awful. Much worse than sacred flame. If you want a ranged cantrip on your cleric wait until you go to the underdark to get the staff that gives an ice cantrip, play a high elf, or get the staff that gives a fire cantrip in act 2.

It's good for early game Shadowheart, since her elf firebolt scales off Intelligence instead of Wisdom, and the early enemies have a lot of dex. She misses more often than not when using the other two cantrips

Scarlet Remittance is a buff from the dagger Rhapsody, which you get from killing Cazador.
Cazador
how can you mispronounce a name which has been repeated a thousand times over the course of the game

I don't really see a reason to use Produce Flame over firebolt
I’ve used it as a perma light source in shadowlands before getting buffed by pixie…but to your point, I don’t throw it.
Well when you don't have access to firebolt it's likely your only fire damage cantrip. Other than that firebolt is better if you can pick it.
Since it costs both the action and the bonus action, the spell is pretty much useless as a weapon
