¿Is W1 Yoshi's Story?! 😲
Last one was just brutal... 0.08? Wow!
I have yet to beat it legitimately
This is pretty fantastic. I love how there's a mix of levels that feel like they fit more in SMB2 and ones that fit more in SMB1. Also love the subtle throwbacks to pre-existing levels, and the more obvious throwbacks (looking at you, Wasp Hive.) My only issue is that the only really standout track here is World 9's theme, but that's more than made up for by the excellent level design.
(Also, Shriek is a hilarious title for the level it's used for.)
I think it’s because AiAi is screaming a lot while bouncing on the platforms
Closest thing to SMB3 we have gotten so far?
That Breakfast level was really a good idea!
Hehehe...it would be a really difficult level too, if you couldn't just hold up from the start and make it into the goal.
That 0.08 finish was intense
You really have to book it on the last level. Love how polished this hack looks
very inspired level design but also incredible gameplay
naked flames yea, ive never seen such impressive gameplay like this in a hackpack before
Here are my best possible World name guesses; you can rename them or correct them if you like:
World 1: Crafted Island
World 2: Three-corridor Arena
World 3: Underwater Caverns
World 4: Cabin
World 5: Toy Shop
World 6: Snowy Mountains
World 7: Gloomy Temple
World 8: Digital Matrix
World 9: Sky Colosseum
World 10: Dark Corner of Space
Bites REALLY did an amazing job with the levels, maps, and using appropriate soundtracks! Kudos Bites!
Late reply, but:
This is an older version of the hack; Bites has named them since then!
W1: Cardboard Island
W2: Desert Temple
W3: Sandy Sea
W4: Forgotten Cabin
W5: Candy Shop
W6: Icy Peaks
W7: Chalice Castle
W8: Digital Debug
W9: Heavenly Chamber
W10: Desolation
I like a lot of your names though! Especially Digital Matrix.
I hope this pack inspires other creators to build packs just like this, or aim for even better packs than this.
I love it when you make videos of you playing elaborately made fan levels of SMB!
THIS IS ART, PURE ART
Some of these songs are aligned with the timer’s ticking, pretty cool
This is a very vivacious game! The music piled with the backgrounds, or hell, even the gameplay, give off a really idiosyncratic feeling. I love it! The stages are also really fun, and I like how ridiculous culmination is! Lovely game!
The theme in World 7 sounds like something from Donkey Kong Country
The music on the last world is creepy as hell. Still, very good pack! Love the levels :)
Fun Fact: Dr. Badboons line where reversed to make it look like he is speaking gibberish!
The soundtrack for world 4 is absolutely fantastic ❤
A playlist of the soundtrack, if anyone didn't feel like hunting the music down.

custom super monkey ball levels are awesome
Brilliant
The soundtrack is god tier
I'd love to play this on the GameCube.
People play hacks like this on Wii instead of GameCube. You can get the homebrew channel on your Wii and then install Nintendont, which allows you to play hacks off of a USB stick or an SD card.
33:55 - Slow and Steady
Scrap- 'No. I don't believe I will.'
Indigo movement on world 2 do be hitten
Interesting
The music in world 6 kind of reminds me of Minish Village from Minish Cap
Anyone got a link to the Super Monkey Ball Discord mentioned in the description?

i remember when this had 9k views
There were like 20 levels with half pipes and disc platforms
Name all of them then, and let's see if there is around 20.
@@scrap65120 is just an exaggeration for alot
@@scrap651 trying by a mostly strict definition for half pipes (no inertia, parenthetical, etc): skate park, circumference, up jump, erosion, bubbles, galaxy (iffy), flockout, ring bump, freestyler, concentric (iffy), discs, well rounded (iffy)
so like 12 or so
Where can I find the music at? Soundcloud? Spotify?

Can u do an 'All Green Goals' video about this pack please? :D
I originally planned to show every goal in this pack, but later decided to only show normal goals so people could find the warp goals on their own.
scrap651 Ah, I see
It's just that I can't play this (laptop is very old) and I wanted to see the other goals!
I don't play on my laptop, I played this on my Wii using an app called Nintendont.
Anyone else think World 9 looks a lot like Ultra Heaven?
I'd say it looked more like Skypolis from SMB3D, really
the levels in this hack are super cool but man, it feels way too intense for a monkey ball game imo
especailly the final world with the music, visuals, and names
is this compatible with multiplayer?
You can do multiplayer for SMB romhacks, but only for challenge mode.
scrap651 thank you for informing me. I know what i’m doing this weekend i guess
@@scrap651 I've been testing out challenge mode, but it doesnt seem to include the same levels as the main game. Am I not understanding something? I'd like to play all the levels with a friend. Great work by the way
@@Tielha I don't think the challenge mode levels were ever replaced.
Is there going to be a challenge mode?
I don't know.
Can I join the discord group?
i want to do the same
39:05 up and down and all around
Too easy - too platformy as well... not enough large and intricate geometry. Guess I shall have to make my own
''too easy'' I'm assuming you actually played this rom hack as well? Also I'd like to hear your definition of ''platformy'' and why that's a bad thing for custom levels to be.
scrap651 What, did you make the level pack? Sorry for having an opinion, heaven forbid I offend anyone. Fact is, all the levels are boring plain design - bunch of squares and half cylinders. The textures also suck.
''Bunch of squares and half cylinders'' You just described most of the super monkey ball stages ever made. Also you never answered my original questions which is a bad look for you.
scrap651 Here are a few perfect examples you should know from challenge and story:
ARTHROPOD (iconic stage, perfect animation of large obstacles to resemble abstract figure)
BIRTH (only level to use an emitter, projectiles bare unique textures)
DRIBBLES (ovaloid dynamic objects with beautiful blue reflective texture)
MELTING POT (best use of physics-bound geometry and spheres in general, good matte reflections)
ENTANGLED PATH (very large and elaborately animated dynamic object functioning as the stage floor itself, good textures)
FIGHTERS (one of the only levels to use a holographic shader, dynamic object with no player clipping)
HEAVY SPHERE (best example of a level with a dynamic object interacting with the stage floor, wonderful reflections and embedded illuminated texture)
AUTO DOORS (vast space with independent dynamic objects with fluent synchronized animation)
TEAPOT (smooth imported 3D model with beautiful texture and reflections)
CLOCK FACE (illuminated textures, reflections, excellent use of circles and synchronized animation)
GIANT COMB (illuminated textures, good foreboding size, dynamic object with non-floor textures)
LABYRINTH (layer coordinated textures with elaborate depth, good use of volume)
Go on, tell me which custom levels come close to any of the ones I listed.
@@GenuflectingRotation 1) You listed less than 10% of the stages in the game which doesn't prove anything.
2) Most of the points that you made about those levels involve the way they look, and not the way the play. Custom monkey ball levels have only been around since July 2016. Our main concern wasn't to find the fancy cosmetic shit that appears in your list of stages, we wanted to figure out how to animate platforms, and use switches, wormholes and seesaws. We focused on the gameplay of our levels more than anything, and I think you will agree that gameplay is more important than how pretty something looks. So, when looking at your list from a gameplay perspective, I would say the custom levels are superior(who the fuck even bothers getting bananas on ''fighters''? Awful stage).
3) You still didn't answer the questions I posted in my first response. If you don't answer those questions adequately in your next comment, I will block you. I have no patience for people who criticize but can't back up their points.
