    When I installed these, the largest difference I noticed was better throttle response off the line and after coming out of a turn. Plus the lessening of that rubberband effect you mentioned.

    Post install, here are my tips for the carrier:
    -on the upward facing side of the torque solutions bushings, take a small, angled chunk out of the edge. I couldn’t figure out how to get it on, but after taking the chunk out I was able to hit it with a mallet and after that it went in with ease. Make sure you cake it in grease.
    -use a mallet to smack the bottom, get the non-aftermarket side in first.
    -on the aftermarket side, tighten the bolt slightly. I noticed when I was trying to get the bushings in, it had a tendency to fall back out.
    -Jack up just before the driveshaft and after the differential. The carrier won’t line up unless the driveshaft isn’t sagging. If you Jack up the differential it will continue to sag. Jack it up just in front of where the carrier goes and it’ll hold everything where it needs to be so the bolts line up nicely.
    Hope this helps

    i did pretty much the same on mine. a different version of the upper bushings, and replaced the lower diff mount completely, and it did much to get rid of the subie herky jerky, much more than the pitch stop , trans mount, and shift improver kit, which all did a little, but no where near as much as the rear bushings. i still wasnt 100% sold with mine, but i went all in and put in a driveshaftshop crabon fiber driveshaft, and the was the last piece of the puzzle, getting rid of the hanger bearing was huge in driveability, and smoothness.

    • @ronfromportland
      @ronfromportland  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Crazy how much the rear bushings improved drivability considering it’s the cheapest out of all the other supporting mods. I may have to look into upgrading the driveshaft just to get a little more out of the car. Thanks for the info!
