Rock I work on small engines at a Deere dealership and I learn so much from your videos, you are so good at explaining everything. Thank you for the great content 👍🏻
Evening rock glad to youre doing alright. Have a great night. Thanks for teaching me how to work on these I always love learning hands on like this. Thanks again
I agree on the eps being too light. My friends 16 570 felt the same, scary on the road. My 23 570 eps has multi select eps, medium setting is perfect. Thank you.
Check the cables to the intake sensor, its a known fault on some years of 570. The cables get brittle and break. Had the same problem on My 2018 X2 570 with intermitten hard start problems when warm. My dealer did a timing chain and adjuster replacement and adjusted the valves. Did not fix my hard start. But when i checked the cable to the sensor, 2 of the wires was broken inside the cable and could Just pull out.
You may want to add some 1/4" hardware cloth over the entrance and exit to the clutch cover. it will stop the mice. ( had to do that to my trailboss 250)
That is a headache when you have to wait for the shims to arrive.. I have a setup at my shop with my milling machine where i can grind that shim evenly, I know people are going to say " You can't do that" but i haven't had Ny problems with it.. I've checked shims after mNy miles and no problems
Every time I see work being done to a Polaris It makes me glad I never bought one they really seem to take on German engineering over engineered and under reliable😂
Some machines I’d definitely recommend oem but these 570’s are not hard on belts so the Dayco should last along time. It all comes down to what the customer wants to spend.
Are you able to fix a engine thats collasped both sides? 850 engine from polaris sportsman highlifter edition. Took it to a dealership and they said its on the verge of seizing and quoted me $10,000 to replace the motor
Not sure what you mean collapsed on both sides but it doesn’t sound good. A brand new oem long block from Polaris is $6300 a remanufactured engine can be had for around $4300. Between new oils/ filters and shop supplies and labor to do the job it should be under $1000. So I would say that $10,000 is a pretty high quote.
@@rockspowersports oh i live in canada, new brunswick. Maritimes region. I really enjoy your content and thanks for sharing. The dealership told me it was no point in trying to repair or rebuild the engine. But i dont have 10g's for a new motor. Was hoping it would been able to repair it cause dealerships just want money. And i just bought it last year. Its 2023 polaris sportsman 850 high lifter edition
Oh so your talking Canadian dollars, then $10,000 is actually no to unreasonably for a brand new engine and have it installed. Unfortunately when those 850’s cranks go bad they usually take out the crankcase and usually it’s not cost effective to rebuild. It really all depends what happened in there. Did they actually pull the engine out and disassemble it?
@@rockspowersportsthey just did a quick diagnostic check. Did a quick job i think and i didnt want to run the bill sky high. They said they could look deeper but would cost more. They told me that it was on the verge of seizing and that it had collasped both ends....which i dont know what they mean by that.
Yes you can but it’s very tight! Usually I take my spark plug socket, set it in the plug hole and use a wrench to turn the socket… a ratchet won’t fit with the socket.
I like the older Polaris 500's and the 570's are pretty good too. I have a 500 ho 2013 with 2000 miles, it runs good and has a carb. I wouldn't buy a New New Polaris, but the little bit older are Solid.
@@jroutdoorchannel4247 i've always been a Honda guy. The Rincon, the recon rancher, things like that, but I do like that Polaris, with the little bed or even the 6x 6.
Boy you can’t beat the background at the beginning of the video. Trees among rolling hills. Gotta love it
Seriously…absolutely beautiful
Rock found your Chanel and LOVE the content. Please post more often. Even a Tri-pod is great. 😊

Hey Jonathan, thanks! Glad to help.
Got a question for you on a eiger 400 has updated flywheel and stator and still has no spark
Love it! Keep up the good work!

Nice diagnosis on the hot start issues, I"ve read the 570 power is well matched to the gearing and it feels really spunky.
Thanks! And yes these 570’s will surprise you.
Great video when I need to do mine ill watch it again and probably again lol
Haha sounds good.
Great vid 👍🏻
Way to go polaris on making a simple valve adjusment 10 times more difficult than it needs to be. Why i love my hondas

I think I’d be getting out my Dremel to make some clearance. Lol

Hi from Milton Vermont
if you could find one id like to see you do a video on a 2002 yamaha ttr250
Which do you think is better, a 1997 honda fourtrax 300 or a 1997 articat Bearcat 454
Good old Polaris. Why charge the customer for some shims. When you can sell them some buckets too
Every time I see work being done to a Polaris It makes me glad I never bought one they really seem to take on German engineering over engineered and under reliable😂
Hello can you show things like the fluid changes in the tire changes next time just a suggestion though thanks
200 bucks to adjust all the valves definitely never buying a Polaris. That's what I paid for my moto4 350.
My back is sore from reading your comment
@@GYPSY400 what?
Hey how many turns is the pilot jet on a bombardier 500 I can't figure it out
I am wondering why you don't use a belt from polaris? It seems everyone says aftermarket don't last

Damn i was thinking that my 570 engine was loud but this thing sounds like tractor
