@@RLucas3000 Oh please, only if you take everything literally which isn´t the case, by admitting the lawyer giving her the idea and the statement of the three lawyers she´ll get the maximum of seven years. One of the statements was purgetory, doesn´t matter which one, because she didn´t correct herself on accident, but she had a "change of mind" just for the only reason to blow the case. Seven years done.

Remember, no matter how angry you are on the stand, never answer "Would you lie...?" with "Yes!" You have the right to refuse to answer because of the 5th Amendment. Now she could be looking at a perjury charge.

Refusing is pretty much a guarantee in the eyes of those listening. If you're going to admit you'd lie by saying "yes" you're better off lying or saying something along the lines of "never about something so serious".
And the previous commenter has it right when it comes to different people coping with different pressure.

In order to prove perjury; you have to prove, which aspect of the testimony, was the actual lie.
Remember; that a married woman is considered 1 with her husband.
In order to validate the perjury accusation; they’d have to compel her to testify against her interests, which are the same as his interests.
Indirectly violating his 5th Amendment rights.

They have to prove which statement is false. They alibi each other for him being home. If they try for the him not being home statement, she can say she had a momentary lapse after being badgered but corrected herself and told the truth so that Justice was done. No jury would convince on that, and the prosecutor wouldn’t bring it any way as he knows deep down it’s true.
