      @@jamie.andrewsI ended up receiving it a week ago. So far I love it, it works great haven’t had many issues obstacle avoidance wise it generally works well. Has got caught on 1 cord under my dark bed before and on a small cat feather toy. I have seen it avoid a single LEGO on the ground which was very impressive considering how small and on a rug it was. Overall great value imo

    Thanks for the review Jamie I like how yours are transparent and aren't like the other sponsorship reviews that say this robot is the best in the world feels like an ad rather than oh here's what you should honestly know compared to the competition before you buy. You never hear people say the negatives about something they do a sponsorship before it's not right and it's not an honest review. I think I'll be skipping this robot you get what you pay for and while all robots have some downside to them I still think if you're on a budget this is a pretty good value. Although I think if other vacs have the same features but do them better I'll spend the extra money.

      @jamie.andrews always man I watch all your videos I bought the dreame l20 ultra based on your recommendation and I love how it performs in my home. For some reason one of the wheels started getting jammed and I notice the robot started getting stuck and then jerking back it didn't do that before still gets the cleaning job done but I am going to try and claim the warranty on it and see if they'll fix it. I still love it despite that it does a great job in my home. Keep doing what you do. It's nice to have a real Channel to watch and go to when deciding what robot vacuum to buy.

    Great review. I have all hard floors, no carpet so I've been thinking about getting a robot that automatically cleans the pads, I might even get more than one for my collection. I've ruled out the Ecovacs X2 at this point since the navigation still has some issues. I'm thinking of getting this one, or maybe the Roborock Q Revo, the Deebot T20 Omni, or maybe the Dreametech X30 once it's available. Every review I've seen on the Dreametech X30 has said it's really good. I do think if Irobot does not come out with something major soon, they will be done, they have already fallen so far behind the competition, unless they think that people will still buy them because of the Roomba brand name but that's not a good reason to buy something.

      @andrews I really wonder where the suction power is going off to some air-leaks and if it is improvable by sealing the bin better.
      Usually everything inside the machine should be enclosed.
      Another point of suction leak could be the two docking-openers on the back, which the base uses to empty the bin.
      Do you feel any suction behind the device while its vacuuming?
      Either the 8000 pa ain't true or there is a flaw somewhere inside.

    Having spent hours (and hours and hours) over the last couple of days going round in circles looking at reviews of various all-in-one vacuum/mop/omni-base units (various RoboRock, Ecovacs and Dreame models) I’m now back to thinking that the Eufy X10 might well be the way for me to go without breaking the bank. I also have a renewed admiration for your reviews having suffered so many shallow read-the-specs reviews on various vacuums from other reviewers so I’m rewatching it. I wish I could give you more than one like.
    On the slightly disappointing vacuum performance, from watching your tests I’m wondering if that might be something that Eufy could improve in software. Watching it do its parallel tracks it looked to me as if they only just met at the edges of each pass. I’m wondering if tightening the spacing by even a couple of cm (or an inch for a nice round USA-friendly measurement) might improve the performance on those pickup tests. It’s not a deal breaker for me since I schedule a clean every day and am of the opinion that OK and often, easy to do with an fully automatic cleaner, is likely after the first few days to be better than doing a thorough manual clean once a week with a powerful manual vacuum - and a lot less effort - but better is always errr ….. better.

    • @jamie.andrews
      @jamie.andrews  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I see that although it’s listed as out of stock Eufy does seem to be selling a fully rubber roller for the X10 as an aftermarket option. Maybe worth experimenting with at some point? Just out of interest because as I mentioned it’s not a show-stopper for me. If I’m doing a whole-house cleaning run every day of the week I’m sure anything at the 85% or above level will keep my floors clear of day to day dust and smaller debris.

    Hi Jamie, thank you for your review. In the UK we are eagerly awaiting US reviews prior to pre ordering.
    At 3:19 you have done vacuum tests on carpets. Was this test based on first pass of the vacuum only?

    Thank you

    • @jamie.andrews
      @jamie.andrews  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes on my vacuum tests the vacuums get one pass only. Performance will improve using deep clean and it will make tighter overlapping passes. Better, but still not great.

    With third party rollers being available for pretty much all the main manufacturers various robots, if your willing in some cases to wait for a delivery from China, this would seem to me to be an area where some practically-minded TH-cam tinkerers could see if they could create some sort of “Frankenstein main brush” by finding some third party rubber roller of the right diameter intended for something like a Roomba or Roborock, removing it from the axle & mount that interfaces it with whatever robot it was actually designed for and finding a way to graft it onto the Eufy X10 axle and end mounts (gained by removing a Eufy brunch from its mounting hardware.
    It might not be easy but getting a few third party brushes to take apart would be pretty cheap and I suspect some good problem solver with a few practical skills, a decent toolset and some decent glue could probably find a way. And if you’re working with all rubber brushes length wouldn’t be an issue because an overly long rubber brush could be cut to size. Not for everyone but it would be kind of cool to see someone attempt it and then see what difference it made to vacuuming and hair tangle performance.

    Thank you for your review. I would be interested to hear how this navigates under low furniture as this model is much taller than all machines on the market. My sofa is 4.5” of the floor. Will the LiDAR prevent it from entering under this space? Also, with other robots I had issues where they would not clean under my kitchen cupboards. I suspect this was due to the lasers from the LiDAR system bouncing of the shiny stainless stell kitchen cabinet legs and causing the robot to leave the area as it identified this as an obstacle.

    • @xeon2k8
      @xeon2k8 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @hmed939 the only advantage on the eufy is the dock is easier to clean, that's all .On the S7 side you have Roborock reputation, much better vacuuming perf and better mopping too since if i recall correctly it cleaned much better in the dry sauce test. Also the brush is not rubber, on the S7 as least you can buy a bristles one and change it whenever you need that. I would stick with it.

    • @jamie.andrews
      @jamie.andrews  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@waqasahmed939 Oh I see. I don't think it is better overall. The S7 Maxv has a better brush roller, better mopping and vacuum performance. Eufy only beats it with object avoidance and cords. If this is just for a second floor it should be fine. Other options are if you don't care about object avoidance look at the Q Revo or Dreame L10s Ultra if you do.

      Yeah, when I tried T20 omni, it was definitely higher quality. The software takes away from the experience though. Mine had some other issues like trouble returning to the dock and questionable navigation. Also had an irritatingly loud noise when traveling on hardwood floor caused by part of the roller brush assembly dragging on the floor. Common issue. Look up 't20_weird_noise_while_travelling'
