Wipeout reminds me of American Adventure! 💔 So many childhood memories there!! X
Watching your vlog on my TV and just as I pressed send you mentioned American Adventure. Lol I remember having my ear pierced and the coaster busted my ear! 🤦🏼♀️
IT WAS DOEN WHEN I WENT 😩
No go on it bc it broke yesterday!
i went to pleasurewood hills saturday 24 september 2022, went on all the rides there, inc wipeout, which used to be the missile at American adventure, which I rode back in 1995. it was like saying hi to an old friend. trouble is, at end of the day, wipeout finally gave up for the day with people at the top of the lift hill just before the backwards portion. they had to be rescued, and my nephew described the process to me as we rode across the lagoon on the cable car. it took them ages to free the people from wipeout. in the end, they lowered them down on the chain lift and evacced from the lowest part of the ride.
i always love the parts of the vlogs where Charlotte goes on water rides😂😂
It’s always good fun!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide
Yeah, it’s funny seeing the reaction of both of them, I wonder what all of their photos looks like on the coasters? I bet most of them had a camera in them.
All together now: "Ohhhhwwww!" The hilarious POV noises you two make really make this channel 🤣😂
I love when Charlotte screams on the water rides because she got soaked!!!
Thank you! We’re glad that you enjoy them!
My home park! gotta love the eggxpress (snake in the grass, as i know it) and the secret tradition of getting the riders to cheer and sending them round again if its enthusiastic enough haha
it’s the joke way! it’s egg-spress!
Jolly Roger looks like one of the best Drop Towers in Europe
It’s fantastic and really intense too!
I didn’t think you could see the sea on it but you clearly can!
Pleasurewood Hills is a nice little family theme park. They could do with adding more rides/coasters as there are lots of empty spaces around.
I'd love a dark coaster in there, more dark rides would be great
I think a flying elephant ride will work extraordinarily well with this park
Edit 23:51 I think this ride will work well there
It’s such a nice family theme park!
Looks like your loving the sun! Cannonball Express looked intense and some close calls with the supports and track. Lovely video
Thank you. Cannonball is such a great ride!
Good old schwartzkopf ride. Love it!
Not been to this park in years! Looking amaxing and making me want to return! If The Looping Group did do an annual pass I'd be very happy! Living on the edge of Birmingham means that Drayton Manor is 45 mins one way and West Midlands Safari Park is only 30 mins the other way!!!
It would be great to see them offer an annual pass for the 3 parks!
Please fśsssssss
i wouldnt waste your time
I wouldn’t want them to pull a moment like what merlin have where you have fast passes at all your Theme parks.
@@richardcollyer4878 bro all of the parks are great wdym
Was great to meet you 2! Thanks for encouraging our daughter to go on the Jolly Roger!! Keep up the great work!! 👍🏻👍🏻😁😁
It was great to meet you! Thanks for your support!
Jenna did your daughter like it?
I went there on Easter Sunday and it was amazing! A lot of the staff are very nice.
If you're ever feeling down then watch this video. This is one of the most enjoyable and feel good videos I've seen for ages. Not just because of the video but because of the way it's presented. Totally natural in front of the camera. They should have their own tv show.
Thank you!
such a sweet vibe at this park, especially on the trains in the sun! 💛
Love the trains!
Cannonball express my favourite here since 1995 when I first met it :-)
Visited on the 28th July and it was meant to be raining all day but barely rained so that was nice. Found it to have a lot of potential but definitely think it feels just a little run down. And something I found just hilarious is on Jolly Roger how the ride op uses the end of a broom stick to prod something in the ride system, dont think you'd ever see that at a merlin park 😂. Got at the park at 11:40 and left before close getting on most things once and Cannonball Express and Wipeout 4 times each. There were a couple queues (just on cannonball express, marble madness and water fun factory) but only a max of 20 minutes. Did love the chairlift, such a fantastic view of that lake and wipeout!
Glad you had fun!
Aw my local, haven't been in so long!
I remember whren "Egg-Spress" used to be "The Rattlesnake" probably my first ever roller coaster experience and was always my first ride whenever i visited until they launched Canonball Express and later Wipeout.
The tunnel on Rattlesnake used to have Fluorescent snakes painted on the walls accompanied by hissing noises form speakers dotted about.
Glad to see the chairs still running to this day!
I do miss American Adventure, still have some photos posing outside when they converted their Indian cliff face sculptures to an "Aleins" themed dark ride attraction, they had a massive "Jaws!" monument/statue that you could pause for a photo and stand underneath a massive shark hanging above your head on some fishing rig
Thanks for sharing!
Hey i remember when the Rattlesnake was the Ladybird, it had two tunnels and one with flashing lights, also it had doors all lined up on the platform for each seating unit, it's better without the doors but we do miss the tunnels.
im excited for great yarmouth
Awesome as always 😊
I can't wait for joyland again, so many childhood memories.
It’s coming today!
Great to see they looking after the missile from American adventure it brings back memories of the many happy times I spent riding it at the park as a kid I used to have season pass and went every day
It’s a fantastic ride
I live in Norwich and have been to this park once and it was great
It’s a fantastic family theme park!
I thought I saw you guys when we went on Sunday, we were eating lunch by the lake when we saw you guys get on the chair lift as soon as it opened! I do think it's an underrated park and you can really tell they have put a lot money into it recently
Love pleasurewood hills 💝,,in a beautiful setting always feels relaxed even when the park is busy.... can’t wait for Great Yarmouth vlog ..
love it when you visit the hills, nice to have each year documented, pity you weren't able to do this during the 80s and 90s.. lol Great to see the park busy that's always good news.
It’s such a great family park
9:48 no way! I thought it got scrapped when they removed it ! good to see that the first ever roller coaster I remember riding is still up and running somewhere
On the 20th of august I am going to ride headbanger loop at southport.
Shawn are you too?
Have fun!
Shawn I feel like I have a broken neck.
That blue roller coaster looks like fantasy island rollercoaster
Water Fun Factory and Adventure Cove have a similar color pallet. Wonder if Looping Group might start building a loose universe that Cedar Fair has going on
Possibly so!
Brilliant video mate as usual!! Miss pleasurewood hills so much 😭😭 hopefully coming back next summer or something
i was there😂 you saw my friend was crying on the jolly roger lol
I’m glad that she went on in the end!
I always used to come here when I was young, I was brave on one visit and my family went on wipeout, I was fine, but my parents couldn't drive home that evening 😅. At least we got another day in Yarmouth!
Ahhh, my local theme park. I remember when there used to be a huge multi-lane slide where Canonball Express is now. Marble Madness always leaves me feeling a bit battered and bruised - as much as I love the ride, I definitely feel worse for going on it.
Not sure if you remember Mr Blobby, but he and Noel Edmonds had a show running for three years in that castle.
We did the 2021 Fairground Frights at Pleasure Beach. Enjoyed it a lot more than Pleasurewood Chills.
The train carriage that used to be a scare attraction - going back, it used to be a restaurant, and then after that it became converted for birthday parties for a while :)
Waveswinger actually lived at the park in the late 80's/early 90s, before making way for the more modern rides. It was the only ride my mother would ride, and was so pleased to see it come back
There use to be a Vekoma Boomerang at Pleasue Island in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire. The park has unfortunately closed down now, but it was my first ever theme park and the Boomerang was my first ever coaster so that type of rollercoaster will always hold a special place in my heart.
It was a great ride! We miss Pleasure Island very much!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide so do I. I still regularly drive past it. All the rides have long gone but there is still the building the held the carousel and the entrance buildings.
We went about 3 weeks ago. Fab day out, and the improvements they’re making are really noticeable. Wipeout is intense! Eggspress (or Rattlesnake as I’ll always remember it) is my 4 year olds favourite ride. Great vlog again! Looking forward to Joyland and Pleasurebeach vlogs, we went the day before you were there! Gutted!
Hope you had fun!
I just arrived at Flambards!
Hi Shaun just a quick question do u still see the boys as in Alex and Martin as miss the boys use to love the vlogs with them
I would love to see Alex ( aka the milk man )
And Martin & Leah
In the vlogs again
Thanks for watching! The channel will continue to focus on the theme park adventures of me and Charlotte, however I still see my friends on a regular basis!
The breaks on that wild mouse coaster where the brakiest brakes I’ve ever seen haha
I went there the other day and the blue one is my fav
My nan and grandad always take me here! also ive rewatched this vlog like a million times
Hey there Shawn and say thank you for Charlotte for shoutouts from yesterday video I love you Shawn and Charlotte xxxx
Thank you!
I was there when u were saw u on cannonball express too.
I just saw on their website that they're marketing Wipeout as the biggest rollercoaster in East Anglia... now THAT is a claim to fame lol
Love that!
Enjoyed watching the drop tower. I was at Blackpool pleasure beach Saturday the 14th and we didnt get the old hang time at the top of ice blast. It only took you to the top, dropped half way back up and back down. I think its better when it hangs for abit. This looks like q lovely park to visit, glad you both had a marvellous time.
Edit: rode icon for the first time and at night.. absolutely EPIC 👌
Glad you enjoyed Icon!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide it's definitely my new favourite for sure!
Hi Shawn, watching this one back. You NEED to do the 'Primevil' Halloween event at Roarr Dinosaur Adventure. It's only down the road from here.
You can also hit the Pleasurewood Hills & Pleausre Beach Halloween Events.
Deffo need to do primevil though. Really really good!!!!
The weather looks nice down there.... Here OOOP NORTH, it's grey , cold , and feels as autumn has set in.
It was great!
The Cobra boomerang at West Midlands Safari Park was awesome and cutting edge back in the early 80s, good to see one still going in the UK, would love to ride it as I was too small for the Cobra
It was indeed!
Great video, i went here yesterday. They’ve got a few really good rides. Just a shame that since going there years ago the park hasn’t really grown at all. A few new rides but its lost the same amount and a large part of the park is fenced off and looks abandoned. A few million pumped into Pleasurewood Hills and it could be something really special.
Ha ha Charlotte is brill! Make her permanent mate!!
She is wonderful and I’m very lucky!
I remember being on the missile at American adventure and it broke down at the top. I always remember the guy controlling it saying over the tannoy “this is what happens when you use ancient computers”. They brought us all down in the carriage using some sort of emergency low ratio gear. It took ages. Once we finally got to the bottom, instead of letting us off the ride, he simply rebooted the computer and sent us back up! Good times.
The missile was the first rollercoaster i ever went on at American adventure in the 90’s it was painful then… can’t imagine what it’d be like now
I remember going on Wipeout at American Adventure I swear it broke down like 5 times that day
I remember when they had the pirate ship that went upside down here, I think it was called Tempest? Great vlog as usual guys
im pretty sure that's now at Alton towers.. if not it's still somewhere in the uk.
and the tri star called “troika”
I went mid June for my birthday and water fun factory and jolly Rodger was CLOSED!! I was devastated
Sorry to hear that!
I’ve been to both PWH parks in Cornwall, Lowestoft with my folks on our vacations many many years ago with their PWH mascot woody the bear 🐻 show, there were so many amazing rides attractions even some dinosaur 🦖 🦕, animal fairytale story ride animatronics in Cornwall. PWH is an amazing theme park as Lowestoft PWH park again looks barely recognisable. In the gift shop that song was called you took the words right out of my mouth by Meat Loaf lol, you both looked like you had an awesome day at Pleasure Wood Hills Theme Park. Hope you both are having an awesome adventurous Spanish vacation in the theme parks, Stay Safe, Thank you again for your amazing endless fun blogs,
Thanks for sharing!
I went in May half term with my cousins loved jolly Rodger and canonball but hated wipeout so much but on Friday went to flamingo land and loved it and especially enjoyed velocity
Had no idea there was a boomerang in the UK. The only one I've been on is in Canada Wonderland (Toronto) called Bat, such good fun. I would highly recommend Canada's wonderland too. They have 2x B&M hypercoasters there which are just insane.
We’ve only got the one left now!
Went here years ago when I was little, the log flume looks so much nicer! I remember being too scared to go on that horror ride, it makes sense to remove it haha. Great video :)
The log flume is so much better now!
Nice to see the park busy
Very good. The rest of the fencing does need a clean Moby Dick definitely needs a good drop of oil. Anyway, make sure you and Shawn get out there and keep on riding. 😊
To this day, I am still absolutely petrified of the chairlift at pwh and I'm 25 years old 😂
Probably because it’s always breaking down, I went Monday and they didn’t work 😂
I came back from Flambards today! I went on the Hornet, log flume and a bunch of other stuff! Absolutely amazing park
Glad you had fun!
I think pleasurewood hills needs a new coaster it’s been a while
I agree, only recently did they remove fireball (KMG afterburner) from the park. This is due to them wanting to invest into the family market instead. Hope they can get something good there. I my opinion because PWH is owned by the looping group who also own drayton manor they could get G-force (which is in storage) and place it somewhere in PWH. This could very much bring more people to the park. Note i found this theory on a video.
I notice Shawn takes the bumper cars very serious
Always!
I worked at Morey’s Piers, Wildwood, NJ during my Uni gap year way back in 1994. They’ve got a Verkoma Boomerang (Sea Serpent) on one of the piers, which was my first ever coaster experience. Never knew they had a boomerang in the U.K! I’ll be planning a trip to Pleasurewood Hills next year for a nostalgic ride on Wipeout! 😎
New subscriber to the channel. Really entertaining content. Keep up the great work! 👍
Thank you!
I have never been there but I’m glad that you vloged it
Kite flyer hasn’t been closed long because I went on it about three weeks ago and it was operating as normal
I must’ve gone the same day as you! Love pleasurewood hills it’s my local theme park
Shaun i was surprised you didn't say cracking ride on the eggspress
It’s a cracking family coaster!
I've been going to this park every year. This year I've been here twice lol
It's really fun! Especially since I live near:)
Ont get these very often?
Seven and a quarter inch gauge railway's....
They tend to be the mainstay if model engineering societies in the UK and there's loads... You're not wrong about it being in a theme park and it being rare.... Usually because of the health and safety surrounding them... I remember the one at oleasurewood used to run to noels house party or something similar... Vividly recall the train going under or around where they did the cash chamber and seeing mr blobby there.... Not St blobby own park! If ever you want to drive a Stan train on thst gauge for a day for adventureshawn Channel. Give me a shout, will be sure to get you both up to scratch on how to operate and run a steam train in miniature!
There’s plenty of them out there as you say, just not in many theme parks! Also I love them!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide I must admit when you use correct terminology when referring to railway related things, I got that idea that you have had or still do have an appreciation of them..... That's why I have offered whether you'd like to come and prep, set up and run a steam loco either for TPW or adventureshawn..... Tick it of the 'things to do before you die list.... Ill send you a message thru social media if that's alright and we'll go from there!
Keep up the epicness....mm guysesnaking the months and coming future more bearable whilst having my leg in a cage.. Haha. ....
Hi love your channel I have been watching your videos for 7 years.
Thanks for your support!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide you actually replied omg
I really like this park, I love wipeout even though most enthusiasts hate boomerangs haha
It’s a really nice family park with so much potential!
On August 14th the wipeout ride got stuck twice for 30 minutes to an hour. I was stuck on the first one.
When I went to pleasurewood hills a month ago, the scores never updated the whole day on the rootin tootin target trail!!
Woo only 2 days off great vid 👍🏻
I'm not a roller-coaster girl at all, but I love watching your channel because I enjoy watching those who do love coasters have a great time. I know... I'm strange!! 🥴 But I did go to Pleasurewood Hills back in the early 90s with a cousin of mine and we took a risk we'd enjoy the Egg-Spress ride 25:04 I know it's a baby ride by proper roller-coaster standards but if you've never taken a ride on one before, it feels pretty rough! Although we really enjoyed it too. It was a quiet time when we visited so we got to go on it at least four times in the day... got really addicted and started wondering if I could move on to something with real thrills!🙃 But the next day I changed my mind when I realised I was bruised all over... my back felt like it had been punched and I couldn't sit on chair for three days!!!🤣 I can laugh about it now, but it was not so funny at the time. I see they still have the horrible hard plastic seats... that's what caused the bruising... a bit of cushioning would be nice! I enjoyed the virtual ride... it felt like going back to being young again, except for the trees... there were no large trees when I went on it. Scary... trees will always show you how much time has gone by!😢
Thanks for watching!
This place was amazing. Got a huge bruise on my leg from the the cannonball express tho
I havent been since 1990. Only things i remember are the big theatre and the ski lift
The water fun ride looks so different then I remember it
It was redone in 2020 then finished in 2021
Another great Vlog as always Shawn and Charlotte
Fanstastic video, I love it when you do on ride povs ❤️
Great Vlog - have made a note of the few points you mentioned. We shall be visiting for the first time in October. Be my first ever classic Vekoma Boomerang.
Have a great time!
The wipe out is the best!
Pleasure wood hills looks like a awesome park there.
Sending love to everyone
We must of just about missed you, we went on the Thursday before this video
I got a photo of me on the now wipeout at Pleasure wood hills when it was the missile at American Adventures
I met you in the pleasure Beach at yarmouth on Monday. Great to meet you, knew I watched your videos before. 👊
It was great to meet you!
Great video guys i visited this park a couple of times this year always fun.I like the burgers at smoky joes. The parks definetly on the way up just needs a couple more rides and agree on a dark ride for the castle.Look forward to next vid 😎👍
This park has so much potential however there is just far to much HUGE open grassy spaces, like they either need to fill it it with trees or fill it up with rides!!
I’d love to see them sort out the empty areas where’ll previous rides used to be!
I remember riding that Wild Mouse when it was at Flamingo Land.... They should of kept it. When I went there a few months back , I gave Hero a miss. I watch many theme park channels and it is consistently at the top of the "worse coaster" lists. Love a good Wild Mouse thou!!!
Thanks for sharing!
When do u go to Spain? And do you have Twitter?
I think he leaves for it either today or tomorrow
I’m in Spain now and have been for a couple of days!
Referring to Charlotte being excited about the white chocolate fish from Great Yarmouth. At one time Norwich just a few miles down the Acle straight used to have a chocolate factory rountree Mackintosh, it made Rolo’s, secret bars (in the 90s) u could smell the chocolate all over the city. Also Norwich made Caleys chocolate the label had Caleys of Norwich on. And until recently Colman’s Mustard the most recent factory to have sadly closed.
Love this! It’s a shame it closed though!
Hello if u do another planet coaster u should do a recreation
Nooooo not the chairlifts!! Have you got the seatbelt on too cos I do but hate it!!!
Haha great to seems local!
It’s so sad that pleasure island is gone as I never got to g and only live 10 minutes away from where it was
Oh I do miss American adventure . Loved going to towers and then A adventure in a weekend !!
It was a great park!
Cannonball Express = Headchopper: the Ride
I was here 3 days ago! Great to see you guys there 👍👍
Question: at the top of Jolly Roger, can you see Great Yarmouth?
Thank you! You can indeed!
Another great vlog, Wipeout looks very similar to the Boomerang from Pleasure Island in my hometown Cleethorpes and that was definitely an ear basher so I totally get it
Thank you!
well done at Pleasurewood Hills both of you, and well done on the filming on the rides aa well, keep the good work up both of you on the channel again, big double thumbs up to both of you.
Thanks Chris!
