I first went here around 1980 and was absolutely fascinated with the Roller Coaster (which I think is easily one of the best in the UK). Snails & Fairytales (which is my favourite dark ride!) had a bearded giant, and am I imagining it or was there a big shark model down the southern end of the park? But I think I loved this park most around 1991, when they had a Breakdance, Flying Carpet and Snake Slides. I'm not a fan of water rides, but I think they are missing two big "anchor attractions" nowadays without the Water Chute and Log Flume. It's still my favourite amusement park in the UK though and I can't wait to see what they have planned. I can't help thinking a Vekoma Suspended Thrill Coaster would cover a lot of bases, or a new-gen launched Vekoma!
It's so cool to see the snail ride have those indoor dark-ride sections. And it just goes to show, it can be just as much about the car and train design as it is about the track layout.
Lots of good memories/visits from here since about 1975. Only one flashback memory from so long ago....of the giant holding a wooden club near the entrance of the Snail ride that goes under the main Rollercoaster. I must have been about 5 years old.
Hi shawn and Charlotte Aww love pleasure beach so many memories of my childhood. Still visit to this day . Rollercoaster was my 1st ever rollercoaster. I was 7 and I went on it with my late Mum and Dad. The photos of the rollercoaster back in the day there was Madness sitting on the coaster filming The song Welcombe to the house of fun . All the way back in 1982 . Fantastic vlog as always Thankyou for sharing with us. Love to you both as always Tracey 💕 xxxx PS : when I was a child in the 70s/80s they used to have all lights around the edge of the coaster. It used to look amazing. 💕Xxx
Ahhh, memories! The scenic railway was my first ever coaster and did it with my now departed Dad, so seeing it again is always a nice memory. Followed that up with the Boomerang up the road from here - less happy memories with that one haha. I also vaguely remember riding one of those janky, vertical lift Taboggan coasters here?!
Hi Shawn and Sharlote! Pleasure beach is a good theme park but I haven't been there for years. The last time I went was when I was 3 years old I came with my nan, grandad and cousin(also obviously my mum and dad). I am now 8 years old and when I was 3 I didn't like the rollercoasters. But now I'm 8 I would like the rollercoasters but as we are in 2024 I would like the coasters but when I went in October 2024 it was closed because it wasn't half term at great Yarmouth also joyland was closed I was disappointed about it because I wanted to go on the spooky express for the first time.I usually like twisters but the one at pleasure beach is pretty fast!(joyland only opens at the weekends). But anyways it is a really good themed theme park. And why do they ha e to have 2 ghost trains and 2 snail rides?
Love your vlogs you are so full of positivity and fun and i can see you guys are really enjoying yourself s, i love the scenic railway it's such a classic. Id love to see a new coaster where the log flume was 🙂 keep up the good work 👍👍👍
Great video. The Pendulum looks fab. I'd go on that over the old Pirate Ship ride where your bum left the seat as you was swung higher. Love the Rollet Coaster too. It's a pity we didn't go on this on our trip to Great Yarmouth. I like the wristband idea too.
Many may have seen the Video to the song "Wonderful Life" by Black. In that video is the attraction "Super Looper" which was here near the main entrance.
I don't know why but these kinds of parks (small but full of attractions) are one of my favorites because even though they don't have a theme The atmosphere and attractions are the important ones, I could even say that is the "theme" I wish I had a park like that where I live.
Wahoo! Finally pinned you two down 😂😂😂 great to meet you, my wife and I were made up, as was our daughter lily even though she was shy 😂 love the channel and excited for what you do and where you go next 😃 thanks ❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥
Excellent video Shawn and Charlotte from Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach! In this vlog we share on ride POV's from all of the major rides at the park, including the iconic roller coaster! We experience the fantastic variety of rides on offer at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach along with talking about the changes and new additions to the park for 2023. We also capture the awesome atmosphere of Pleasure Beach at night along with checking out the firework show on Great Yarmouth seafront! keep the good videos coming on the chanel., Shawn and Charlotte .😀😎👍👍
I spent my childhood here I have to disagree with Shaun just for once and say I remember the old mountain painting on the outside in the 80's and the botton brothers logo it looks stunning at night as the logo was all lit up with old-fashioned lightbulbs and the mountain used to shine, but it's still an amazing ride and so many happy memories. So glad that like Joyland they haven't changed the traditional stuff! ! I think the giant outside snails and fairytales used to have a great big hat on a beard and would wave the club up and down as you approached! 👍🇬🇧 happy days
Nice to see you here I think I went at the same time as you just didn’t see u because I was at the local caravan park haven but still went here and a couple more places😊

Great vlog shawn and charlotte, I know what you mean with the houses across the road, I was thinking the same thing, look out of the window, and see the rides
You should really make the trip there for their Halloween event. We went last year and it's absolutely fantastic. The actors are brilliant and the ghost train and fun house in particular are enhanced a great deal.
I went to the Halloween event as well last year. As you said it really is brilliant, the roaming actors were so good and they even spooked up the snails with some actors.
Rewatched video again due to watching Andy's vlog a.k.a Coaster Crazy who visited recently to Joyland & seafront. Was going to ask him, but just wondering has there been anymore news about what could be being added at Great Yarmouth yet at all in Log Flume's location? Another log flume a.k.a Charlotte's favourite ride lol? Because a good addition there would be a family compacted RMC Moose Coaster type? But maybe renamed & themed? Flying theatre could be a good addition or Vekoma Madhouse around an original theme. Love both Madhouses and Flying theaters after riding at Legoland. Think Adventure Island, Dreamland Margate maybe and this park would benefit from both of these? But nice vlog, yes agreed nice for amusement parks at night with lights. Thats what I love about Adventure Island, if only Merlin Parks stayed open late lol? Would be epic lol, more ride time. But again nice video, have reshared and look forward to more in future. Cheers. 😀👍
Nice vlog, really enjoyed, sad the log flume has been demolished, but exciting to see what's going to go in there in future? Thinking with new announcement from RMC might see a version of new Moose coaster go in there? But if does? Which doubt be new addition, but if it is. Would like to see it themed up 100%, instead of just structure of track & metal. Think be good location for one, if not a new big themed log flume, replacing the classic version? Need something here with theming and a good new story I think, wondering why can't they not expand park onto marshes part? Thats where I would love to see new rides, coasters and additions? Especially be good to widen the park out a bit instead of keeping it compacted. This is something I would love to see in future, maybe a big new coaster addition go on the marsh land part or on the end next to Premier Inn? Nice fireworks display, really colourful. Saw South ends last year which were good, are you going back this year to watch those both yourself and Charlotte, round September to October time? They are good and worth it. Really big bangers there, great atmosphere aswell. Might go back this year for a day out into night? To watch them? Well see if can? But yeah good fireworks hosted there. But anyways, nice vlog, again enjoyed and always look forward to the next. 😀👍
Shawn and Charlotte, I imagine being brakeman on that woody has it's ups and downs:) When you did that night ride, do any of those folks ever ask you and Charlotte what your doing? That night ride on the roller coaster is pretty special and despite living in the town I’ve never rode it at night. Some great flat rides too at the park although Pendulum is just not for me. The Snails is an absolute classic and is quite a ride. So glad you both had a great day here lucky with the weather too.
Fairground fright is awesome. I took my kids last year and we're going this year, they're 12 and 20 lol. And I'm also dressing up, as the girl in the Ring, but I'll be wearing clear jelly shoes,as I don't want to walk around barefoot lol. Greetings from just over the pond, hence North Suffolk lol
After all these years I’m surprised Disney hasn’t sued them for them figures on the snails 🤣 I remember when they played it’s a small world on the snails it’s such a classic 🤣
Hey I live in Australia right now and I have found when I was a kid and mum and dad would take me to an amusement park or theme park and I would go on rides that tipped upside down or a roller coaster because I was wearing glasses it was difficult to find some place to put my glasses or attach them some how so they wouldn't fall of. I would stick my bag in one of the lockers at some of the places and then not have to carry a lot of stuff with me.

Yes, can be tricky in the months of September and October. Plus plenty of storms in July and August. It's ok being there during the worst as you can still find things to do. It's more a case of it disturbing preplanned outings or the actual travel / landings. That said the Pilot Captain can will do flight plans around the Hurricanes. E.g. I last visited Orlando October 2018....one week after Hurricane Micheal had hit, it was now inland over Georgia area not affecting me But there were 3 more Hurricanes in the Atlantic when we flew, to which we simply flew between them with no problems and they didn't hit Florida. Thus, I wasn't effected at all. Yes, in the 5 trips I've done, 2 in October, 1 in July, 1 in December and 1 in April, I have seen quite a few storms and there has been a few hour/s delays on some of the flights but thankfully not been seriously disturbed.
The Pendulum is a new addition for the park and I think that it is Cool and it used operate at Dreamland in Margate which is home to another Ghost train and the oldest Roller coaster in the UK
The Fun house is Cool and at Halloween it's got actor's in it about 10 ACTOR'S Like I was expecting a couple of clowns but the building is huge so that why they have so many actors in there and also at Halloween they have 4 or 5 actor's in the Haunted Hotel Ghost train as well
Where the water ride was is now going to be a indoor rides area for rainy days but they want permission form the council first which the council is happy to work with them
This park has one of the two woodies i have ridden. The other being Wicker Man at Alton Towers. I rode big apple and hurt myself hetting out because i am too tall
I first went here around 1980 and was absolutely fascinated with the Roller Coaster (which I think is easily one of the best in the UK).
