I one time visited my cousin in ontario and we had breakfast that morning and I bought some milk for myself (I didnt wanna use his milk) and he stopped me and grabbed bagged milk and I asked him “...Please tell me that isn’t milk in a bag.” He said yes and I asked him what was wrong with the milk companies and he told me its been used for a long time in Canadian history. Why is it a thing.
I'm Canadian and use bags of milk, but I have never heard of or seen those weird little mini pouches. Those are just weird. Where do you put them when you're not finished with them? Do they have mini pitcher? The straw you stab in is just not efficient, those things would be like... Ten times easier to spill! Kids could just randomly yank the straw out and *milk everywhere* wtf is this don't put this evil tiny milk bag label on Canada we didn't deserve this
gabiitana OML YUS,THEY DONT EVEN GUVE STRAWS AT MEH MIDDLE SCHOOL ANYMORE BECAUSE(somehow...)SOMEBODY GOT STABED WITH ZE STRAW XD,(?????how,I have nu clue....)They really should go back to ze jucie boxes....
So awkward. I'd be paranoid of potential leaks or breaks in the bag, and it's going to be more difficult to pour. Even if you put it in the pitcher, doesn't that defeat the purpose of having it in a bag? Wtf.. regardless, it seems inferior in every way
my elementary school also had bagged milk and i live in california. not one kid had any idea how to open it correctly so we just jabbed it with the straw until it came through.
They still have those juice bags in our school... In elementary school, all we did was just bite the corner off and sip because that was more fun than just sticking a straw into it :|
I am Canadian so I do like bags we have cartens but that's for other stuff like cream for coffee but I think bad are just easy to use and fun to hit people with
My own aunt actually put plastic cups of milk in the refrigerator and tells us the next morning to use that milk instead of the fresh carton milk..... and no chance old lady I'm using the carton milk
Wow, I didn't actually expect you to see my comment, even less reply to it! I have to admit it's hard to know how to say Quebec just by looking at the word lol
WokenWisp Yeah, generally pronunciation depends on where you live and what language you speak. Kay-bec is usually used by French people and people who live close to Quebec and Manitoba (prominent French provinces) because the French spelling uses an "é" which is pronounced "ay". I'm taking this way to seriously. (._.)
I’m Canadian and I still have cartins of milk but everytime I’m at my grandmas in Ontario they have bagged milk and every time I see it I’m like “why does this even exist”
dyako daniel HA! You think gallons can stop us? Think again boy..Our mighty power exceeds all of the other container's. Soon...the master plan shall be revealed.
I hate it. You could honest use recycled material to make a carton or gallon. I hate it when I go to Canada and use the bag and pitcher It doesn't even hold that much.
Bagged milk isn't very different from normal milk. We get bagged milk from an awesome dairy store called Weber's where they serve the best soft-serve ice cream (they also serve juice packets like what was mentioned).
Idk to me (as someone from eastern northern europe) when i first saw milk in gallons in some american youtube video or something, it was really weird. Why put milk in a gallon? Here we only use like cartons and bottles and sometimes bagged milk. Why gallons? Here its only used for gas, car glass cleaner thing (?) or some other like car liquids and such. Why put milk in them? Theyre heavier, they dont look that appealing, they can spill milk more easily, who even drinks that much milk at once, isnt it going to expire? Ahh just use cartons or bottles or something. Even bagged milk is better than that! Who df thought that milk in a gallon was a good idea?! ... i guess the rest of the world apparently! Why tho! Why?!
Lillinor 30 gallons have a lot of milk because most people that buy gallon jugs of milk have multiple people in their household. My family can go through two gallons in a week. But people in America also use cartons and bottles for smaller servings like for school lunch and fast food breakfast.
I remember one time in my Freshman year of high school we had bagged milk instead of the usual carton. First thing I thought it ‘Why the f did the school get this’ while I internally laughed. Then when I found out that this was common in some parts of Canada I then thought ‘Why is a school in Nebraska buying bagged milk?’ Funny enough, the bagged milk was actually better than our usual carton milk. Sadly, after a week the carton milk came back and we never saw our newly beloved bagged milk again.
a person Well yeah, if every time you use it all you have to do is pour instead of unscrew. Though it takes more effort to grab the letter opener or scissors to open a new bag.
Dragon, Ma boii, it IS pretty lazy for Canadians to Just poke a hole in a bag and pour, rather then unscrewing a cap and pouring, I mean to poke takes like 0 Effort, and unscrewing at least takes Half an Effort point I guess
DCminer I've never seen the small bags of milk and I live in Montreal where this whole thing started so I think it's safe to say that nobody makes them anymore and thus nobody pokes into bags of milk anymore. Also cutting definitely takes more effort because you've got to get the hole just right. Too big and you have a higher chance of spilling. If it's too small then the milk takes longer to pour out.
DCminer if the milk runs out we have to throw out the first bag, get another one and put it in the pitcher, then cut a hole in it. Sometimes you have to throw out the big bag that holds 4 milk bags if you get the last one. All you have to do is grab another gallon and unscrew it.
Yeah Nobody, BUT if you run out of a GALLON, you go to the market, buy it, go home, carry the Mediocrity Heavy Gallon, Unscrew and pour, making sure it doesn't fall.
I live inside Ontario, and I use milk inside bags, I DO NOT remember Ever having milk bags where you stick a straw inside though, I have NEVER seen that before. And I think THAT is weird myself. Canada also has juice pouches, not only America like you mentioned inside the video, I think having a milk bag is normal, and having a class jug is actually weird!
in my Country the milk ONLY sells in Bags, there's no other way some people thinks that's its cheaper than use a whole Bottle GOD DAMN jesus thanks the Plastic of the bags are on a better quality compared tocthe video
I love milk in bags it’s the only way. About gallons and cartons this is what I have to say: cartons are weird because they are cardboard and it would just get in your milk and gallons are stupid because gallons are imperial and the imperial measurement system is a mess
My school does the stab thing, it tastes like plastic for a while but it goes away. ALSO YOU CAN CHUNK IT AT PEOPLE AND CARS AND ANIMALS IN THE STREET. but seriously its not that big of a deal. Btw i LOVE STABBING BAGS OF MILK
We live in Manitoba and went to Ontario once and there was milk in a bag in one of the stores, and my friend says that they just buy the bag and dumps the milk into a pitcher. They don't use the bag they just throw it out after they dump the milk in the pitcher.
Ok America I need your help(god I hoped I would never have to say that) what is it like holding gallons of milk isn’t annoying carrying around a big jug? And I have used a carton of milk before but when I opened it the cardboard got in, is that supposed to happen?
I am a Canadian who my whole life has had milk in bags. And then I went to America to visit my great aunt. We decided to make waffles and she pulls out this GALLLON OF MILK and I actually feel INTIMIDATED by this thing.
I live in Canada and we have bagged milk but I just don’t like it, but that small bagged milk for kids is just weird, I’ve never heard of it. Ok it’s been like a year or something but I was lazy to post before

Yea, how people get milk is actually...kinda terrifying...
Who were the weirdos that even got the idea to drink milk? Like did they just go up to a cow and sucked on its udder!?
I don't drink cow's milk because I'm not a baby cow.
I don't drink human milk because I'm not a baby human.
Mmmmmm nipple juice

the united states of america (where i'm from) doesn't do bagged milk.
anonymous ___ yeah quite obvious right? I live there too
@@flip889RoR Some school cafeterias in the US sell small bags of milk for kids lunches.
Wouldn't it the bagged milk go bad faster because it's always open?
that's what i've been thinking!
Pengicitis Bagged milk is clearly a door mat to disease
You keep rotting things in yoir fridge? If not it's good for exactly the same time
You can tie the open end with a rubber band
colzbroeffect boss fridge and Canada has free healthcare so disease isn’t a problem

but the answer to your "srsly?" is *very*.
LiLi Browning we have them here in Florida and people usually just bite into the corner. The straws shoot juice everywhere

Michael Sainas the high population provinces do, from my knowledge. I don’t know about the rest.

Good Lord, an elementary school I went to, which was coincidentally also in California, had bagged milk.
