Sid . I've been at it for over 3 weeks now . I'm not as young as I use to be , but this job has got me in 20 yr old shape lol. Have to look at the positive side of things. It's good to see people making positive videos about working at Amazon. Just like you said . " They signed up for the job " NO damn excuses lol .
this inspired me... i start my day 2 tomorrow and i see alot of people saying oh 200,300 packages this that. man its a job and his pros and cons are EXACTLY how im feeling going into this!! appreciate ur time making this.
You have an absolutely beautiful mindset. I used to always consider myself a warrior. Life couldn’t beat me down, always in a good mood for the most part for the past several years I’ve had defeated mentality where everything‘s out to get me here for the past maybe six months I’ve been changing one step at a time I’m on my warrior mentality back. I wanna be the happy person and happy father. Everybody used to see videos of people like you is what help me keep on track, keep up the great work man. Thank you.
I'm loving it four months in! I have a great DSP. Las Vegas can be challenging in some areas with traffic but you just have to remember that part is out of your control, if you run into problems just reach out to your dispatcher. Very important you look through your itinerary and do your businesses and apartment complexes first! Biggest challenge for me is the group stops (which can be a little messy at times) but I've found that's a good time to slow down, and sometimes the lockers can malfunction but all you can do is report them to the locker company.
I just finished my first day of training to be a DA… I’m out in Portland, Oregon. Doing some research just to get a feel of what it’s gonna be like when I’m out on my own,,, came across your channel now I’m binge watching your vids… and subscribed🥊
Thank you for being real! I am in the process of applying for a driving job with Amazon. I have a good attitude and I will try my best! Be well. Be safe! Keep it real always!
Man! I love your perception on life and work! I just one week driving for Amazon and the first day was let’s just say a little stressful, I had bosses yelling at me. Asking me why don’t I know how to do this and that. Well it could been easy to give up and quit but that’s not me. It my responsibility to learn how to be better not theirs. I go back to work more confident I can do a better job. I found you researching and I’m going to watch all your videos because we have a thing called internet. I don’t understand stand people that complain just do research and learn! Anyway thank you for video!
Start in about a week and I hope my dsp is a good one 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 also I hope I can sustain it and this was very encouraging for me since there are a lot of people with negative outlook to this job and have quit and so to see this perspective is truly inspiring and motivating thank you and I appreciate the work that you do. Stay hard 🫡💪🏽. Also a bit nervous to start close to peak season but I hope they won’t be pressuring me too much for starting in a city a don’t know very well and not having much experience with delivery with Amazon so praying to God it all works out in the end.
My man looks tired as hell. I’m currently working as a dsp in Amazon, and my god…my legs hurt..and this is just the nursery route…but that’s not gonna stop me, I’m gonna keep going till I can’t no more, wish me luck😅
Bruh my dsp manager been on my ass lately I hope he don’t fire me cuz I been getting slot of rescues because I don’t know how to organize and fully understand the concept of organizing the overflows in that small ram van
I went from job to job I didn’t like being in a building all day I started installing siding it was a great job just my boss didn’t treat me good I applied at amazon dsp can’t hurt trying new things I doubt it’ll be worse than my last job lol I’m ready !
He makes good sense on some of what he has to say. Different parts of the country do have different cost of living. I live in one of the wealthy counties in my state. Rents are $1,300 per month. That's single bedroom. Different DSP's handle there pay differently. Some pay you for performance (per package) based on if the "team" doesn't have more then 10% delivering infractions based on 100 routes. Backups rescues are bullshit. The only one making money is the DSP. Well mine is that is. They work real hard not to let drivers go over 40 hrs.
I get 350/370 packages 160 stops usually about 100 stops are multiple stops and men sometimes I finish and sometimes I get rescue with 20 stops left around 6:30pm im all done for sure by my self around 8:00pm but for some reason they want you to finish latest 7:00pm im a women 25 and 5ft tall maybe thats why im truly giving my best but im 100% sure people run to this deliveries so they can finish fast cuz no way in hell you can finish that many amount of multiple stops with that many amount of packages in a walk paste speed I’ve tried both walk and run when I run I finish when I don’t they rescue me .. sometimes im too tired to run or my legs hurt
I need a fast pace job to keep me active and going and working. Worked once for Amazon warehouse during Covid 20/21 had to leave cause I lost my dad and mother with a few weeks apart . Miss the fast pace Amazon work : I have a job for DSP job interview tomorrow in fresno ca
I took the job on the premise that I would have 4 10 hour days in three days off a week. I started in July and that has happened zero times. Now it’s even worse and they’re making me work six days which average out to be over 10 hours. Sure money is money but I would really like to be able to do my laundry more than once a month I get one stupid Wednesday off a week I’m sick of it and this whole damn business can go to hell.
They exploit workers and fight unions, has double the injury rates of the industry average, they create dangerous working conditions for delivery drivers, they penalize small businesses that use their platform, take in billions of taxpayer subsidies, create excessive package waste, and they fight tax laws that would otherwise support local communities. Need I say more?
@@SidneyTarver amazon has an expected plan for when do deliver each package. if you look closely, most of it doesn’t account for your lunch or breaks. not to mention traffic, hazards, construction, etc..
Big question. If during the picking a box doesn’t get scanned but gets put on a cart and staged, does the driver have a way to override the mistake and still deliver it.
Thanx man. I was thinking about not doing it after watching other videos. I hate the term fast pace it reminds my of an assembly. I hated where we had to check each bottles which was like 50k bottle a day. That was a fast-paced job. No other job of mine matched that.
Yeah, I am having my interview for Amazon on Thursday. They can't say fast-paced until they cooked food for over 800 covers at a fine dining restaurant on Thanksgiving, lol. This job litterally pays $4-5 per hour more than my cooking job so I hope it works out.
Seem like it’s gonna be a lot of work for 19/hr delivering 300 packages a day especially when it’s 30min away from me w 10hr shifts. Gotta make some money so it is what it is.. goin for the interview this week 💪🏼

I'm here for this video. About to start my right seat ride tomorrow. I have a background of retired 14 year military, and 4 years working with FEDEX. I love the delivery field but I'm not new to it just new to how Amazon operates and I'm there to learn the ropes and transfer my abilities I gained through delivering for FEDEX over to Amazon. The thing that irritated me was I just watched a video yesterday by a content creator trying to tell people why you shouldn't work for Amazon but this lazy bum QUIT HIS FIRST DAY.... 👀🤦🏿♂👎🏿🤦🏾♂🤔🤨😐.... mufuh what!?.... You mean to tell me you literally quit your FIRST freaking day but think you have the audacity to come on TH-cam and try to convince others why you shouldn't be working at Amazon when his delusional tail didn't even TRY!!?? So, yeah from here on out after watching that and seeing others similar I've come to the conclusion that anyone who quits a job like this (it could be FEDEX, UPS, DHL, or any of the others too) outside of those that literally try it but are physically broken health wise after; you're either lazy asf or you're not necessarily lazy, you just can't simply handle the grind it takes to do it. I'm sorry, that;s my opinion but I just had to say it because seeing all those other videos like that really irritates me and just shows me that there are a lot of people looking for the easy way out of building good work ethic.
