@@jaystechroom lol, shit i have an interview tomorrow. i knew its hard work but honestly can't be worse than making 10-12 dollars as a delivery driver at dominos...
I have over year working with Amazon in Richmond, CA I had amazing days and bad days but so far the experience has been good. We currently have routes in Berkeley California which some areas are a nightmare like around Berkeley university which is heavy traffic. But I enjoy watching other stage videos just to compre how different or similar is the environment
i started working for amazon DSP in Mckinney, TX, back in November. I'm with a contractor that's less then 5 months old. So far working with them hasn't been that stressful despite being the peak season, but that may be because i have been getting mostly nursery routes. On my ride-along, i was with the team leader who had 150+ stops. Yes, it is physically tiring and i recently have stopped taking breaks unless i need to use bathroom at a nearby gas station, but so far, it hasn't been that bad. I've been doing mostly country routes in north Texas, and one of the annoying things about it is the fact that you sometimes have to back out of the long driveway as your only option, and that can be challenging if you're driving either Amazon prime Transit or Promaster. Nearly all of our vans of some sort of minor damage, mostly from tree branches. So do y'all's fleet mostly consist of Prime vans or do you sometimes have to drive white rental vans? and what is the tip for getting through standard routes efficiently? and is it common for Amazon to reduce routes for certain DSPs after peak season? because experiencing that right now.
My main tip: pace yourself. Don't sprint to every door. You will drain yourself fast. Unless you're able to do that. I find that pacing myself (power walking to the front door and back gets my routes done the quickest ( strange, I know) and efficiently. Every new bag, clear the bag out. Put all packages you can fit up front next to you. Know where your packages are, for your next stop, before getting to that next stop. Since peak is over, our routes have gotten back to normal. Although I had 193 stops on Monday with 277 packages, I did get done in 7 hours. Yesterday was lighter. We do use white vans as well as the orange rentals. Hope this helps!
@@krisp35 thank you for your tips! Yes I have actually been clearing out bags for each new bag, by putting all the small and envelop items in the front passenger seat while the boxes on the shelves (if I’m driving a Prime van) or if I’m on white rental van (since they don’t have shelves), I place them either on top of another unopened bag or leave them in the bag itself. I’ll have to remember to just speed walk instead of sprinting all the time. Wow 180+ is a lot, haven’t got there yet though. If I get apartment routes in the future, how would I be able to navigate through them, especially if it’s one of those modern style buildings?
@Sion Lee You're very welcome. I am glad they are helpful! With apartments, I feel all it takes is just doing them over and over to eventually get down your own system for them. They can be tricky and sometimes frustrating, but the more you do the same apartment buildings, the easier they become. Always check your itinerary, too. In case you have an apartment right next to the one you're at, but not grouped. You don't want to end up leaving that spot just to go right back to it.
I'm normally in a step van, but when I'm placed in a Mercedes or Dodge cargo van, what I'll do is when it's time to sort the next bag, I'll push my passenger side seat forward as far as it will go and use that seat to place my boxes on. Then I'll place the envelopes between the seats and use my igloo cooler as a wall between the seats so the envelopes don't slide to the back of the van. That saves time and eliminates me from having to step to the back of the van to find my packages. They're already right in front with me.
I have a question. I’m a new delivery associate and the prelaunch stage has me confused. Are you given a number or placement to park (to load up) or do you just park wherever and go find your cart with your route? I know at my current warehouse, you have 20 mins to load your van. I’m nervous to do my first route, lol.
We all get in our assigned vans, drive up to loading area in a line, and when everyone has parked we turn off vans, get out find our cart and load. Don't be nervous. If you need help they should help you.
We go to the warehouse to get our vans. The days route sheet says your name, your route number, your van number and your loading area. Get your van, dispatch will call everyone's name and we go to the loading station one by one. In the case of my warehouse. There are 4 lanes. A warehouse worker tells me which lane to use. Then we roll up. And we go to the loading area you're assigned. Your flex app also tells you your loading area. Then we load up our vans. Easy.
i did a ride along on wed that i aced but my first day alone is tomorrow. i had a brain fart. do we scan the qr code on the rack when we get it from the staging area? or just the totes when we bring it back to our van! pls answer :D
So at my station, we used to have to scan each tote, but now we only have to scan the cart. There is a QR sticker on the side of the cart that you scan for everything on the cart.
Considering switching from being a usps carrier to amazon dsp driver for the flexibility while I finish college. I love being a carrier but there is zero flexibility unless you have a good (and I mean good) amount of seniority. Besides, I’m practically an amazon driver. 🤪 Those blue tiny spur packages annoy tf out of me, they come in by the pallets filled to the top nothing but spurs every single day on top of fedex, ups, dhl, and usps packages. Oh and then the 70+lb packages amazon will drop off expecting it to fit in our LLVs. I imagine driving in a van makes things easier. Thanks for sharing a ditl with us. Super insightful!
You should try it out! Maybe stay with Fed Ex until you determine whether you like it or not (If that's doable). I know there are DSPs hiring for part-time or even one that will give you 2 days a week. And your welcome!! I'm glad my videos are helping people get an idea of the job!
This helped me loosen up my nerves a bit! One question I do have is does every DSP provide a rabbit or device for deliveries or would I have to use my own phone for example? They had me download the Amazon Flex app and would rather not risk damaging my phone. Thank you for your time!
I'm curious.... You know when they start you on nursery routes and gradually move up to add way more packages to be delivered.. How fast were you able to finish your nursery routes and when they finally gave you a shit ton of deliveries how long did that take you? I been finishing my nursery routes at around 7 or 8 and I'm nervous I won't be able to handle it when they give me way to many deliveries..
Honestly, try to get 20 stops an hour and you will be fine. Also, I am usually given the same areas to do, which I think they try to do that with every driver. (Makes sense) The more I got used to the area and remembered certain things, the quicker I got. Maybe jog to the house and power walk back. Do not kill yourself though.
that's how i was with the nursery routes they have been giving me almost 300 packages everyday since last week, i can never finish, got suspended for a month so i just ended up quitting.
I deliver for amazon, ive learned dogs can make or break your day. some are very friendly and others feel like trying to kill anything they see for no reason. and location is key. sometimes i deliver in city but mostly country. city sucks just bc of how congested it is with nowhere to park and lots of people who cant drive, love the country due to lots of sweet hearted dogs and lots of space to turn the truck around.
yesterday i had 154 stops in pocono pa. it’s an hour drive from the facility but i had to go through a big detour so i started a half hour late. i started at 1:05 by 3:50 i had 117 successful deliveries and by 5:50 i have finished my entire route. had an hour drive back to the station and completed my day early even with a huge delay. a coworker of mine was in the same area as mine but with 94 stops only. he didn’t finish until 8:40 🤦🏽♂️
They texted me saying my class training starts tomorrow and Thursday because my background check was cleared. I still haven’t done my drug test yet, is the drug test needed at all? Heard it’s for people who wanna use the bigger step van
How do you sort the packages? By town? By section? By size wouldn’t make too much sense because what if there’s two different sized packages for the same house? Does any of the devices tell you?
How I sort my packages are definitely mentioned in my videos that you should check out LOL, but how I sort my packages --> by street name and the rabbit (the device) does tell you which house needs which package whether it's a medium box small box large box envelope plastic bag
With the cameras now are they OK with your wearing sunglasses?Stupid question but it is amazon.I got a interview and dude I need my sunglasses rain or shine.
I sort mine using driver aid number. Once I finished the bag I don’t go into the next stop until the new bag is in order.. usually high to low or low to high and. They usually fall right off and I am at each stop for less than 2 minutes granted they don’t have 50 million packages ..it’s interesting to see other organization methods
@@krisp35 not really . It’s literally less than 2 minutes and the time you take to organize each tote you make up in speed from being able to grab and go.. because my tote may have 15-25 items and the item description may not be right so that’s just the way I do it.. once the packages are organized the stops literally fall off.
@@camchronicles9839 yea that makes sense. I do organize every time I get to a new bag. Everyone has their own way of working this job, whatever works best for ya. But organizing is a major role if ya want to do this job effectively ! I did just re read your first comment again, I actually do the same thing. Once a bag is emptied, I don't leave the current stop until I organize the next bag. My bad. I was working today actually, super tired!
I don't use a go pro! I have a Sony zv1 lol but I don't use that for recording at work. I bought a chest mount for my cell phone .I will put that link in description
You get two 15 minute breaks paid and a 30 minute lunch unpaid. People at my DSP, and I'm sure others, don't typically take breaks. But if you have to use the restroom you stop somewhere that has one because when nature calls...
If you’re driving one of these vans for the first time, do you have to pick up and deliver the same amount of packages as other drivers who have been around longer? I was with the company for only two weeks and they let me ride along but I never a got a nursery route when I started on my own
Lol all of the promasters we have all have the white noise reverse alarms. apparently theyre supposed to be safer and some of them adjust to the ambient noise level.
Awesomevideo I’m just wondering what’s the heaviest package you’ve carried? I want to apply but had a minor injury on my hand recently but I can find ways to carry somewhat big packages just not really heavy
make sure to ask with help loading in the morning, at my base there's always plenty of helpful ppl, and even the big packages usually you can kinda brace it against your hip and walk it one handed using your hip and skeleton to hold it more than your actual arm if that makes sense. good luck buddy.
Yes, they have backup cameras, and to your other question, I'm not sure I understand. The van can make any turns that a normal car would have to make. Hope that answers!
@@krisp35 Thanks. What I mean is the gps route from your phone would say like "make a left" on a street with cars going both ways. Can I ignore the gps and go down the road to find a street light so it is more safe left turn?
I useto work for Fedex Express. Did about 5 years there. I'm hoping to get a opportunity at a local DSP in my area. What are my chances of getting hired on if I have delivery and pick up experience. Only reason why I left fedex was because they cut alot of our routes and were forced to work the sort/dock area. Yea I was making $22.89 an hour but apparently when you leave fedex you are no longer re-hirable at any Express location. I had a heavy route; had to lift certain stuff that weighted over 120lbs on your own. Was just wondering. Anyways just subscribed 👍
Oh wow, that's crazy that you can't get rehired by them! Unreal. You will for sure get hired at any DSP. Won't be a problem. Good luck to you! Thanks for the subscribe😀
It's EZ buddy have no fear. It's all 3rd party delivery companies so if one doesn't hire you, another one is bound to. This also helps if you end up with a bad DSP you can try and switch to a different one.
I use my gopro, and when I use my phone I put it on the holder where our rabbits usually go.. not the whole time obviously lol but... I get some filming using the mount and just putting the rabbit on my lap. I use a rabbit for flex and a different rabbit for mentor
i straight up left a apt after four years to change to a better area with this job. i go for training tomorrow but they dont know i already have done this with a diffrent dsp. i hated portland. only thing sucks is not waking up in a apt anymore. il be making 19.50 a hour
No one sorts anything out for you lol. Your packages are in tote bags, YOU load your own van, and you sort things out while on the road. The only thing done for you is your tote bags and overflow are loaded onto carts for you to go get and wheel back to your van and then load. The packges are labeled with yellow stickers that can be used for organizing. Also, they load the bags by address, so,, one bag will be full of packages for say 1 or 2 streets of houses.
@@ballplaya96x67 the packages are sorted in the totes so each totes has packages for a city block or it could contain packages for one building. it all depends how much packages are there. if your doing house your first totes will contain packages for your first stop all the way to let’s say 15 depending on how many packages each house has or how big they are. each packages has a yellow sticker with letter and numbers this is the driver aid on your stop you will see those letters and numbers on your scanner telling you which package to grab. lot of drivers use this method and they also use the driver aid to sort the packages in sequence. i on the other hand is old school i empty the whole bag having the shipping label face upwards because my eyes are used to looking at the home address and not a bunch of random numbers that the system prints out.
I've never seen a van organized like that the only time I've ever organized a van like that was when we had rentals for the holidays at this point I stopped organizing my van LOL 😭
So! I applied for this job bc I have great driving and warehouse experience, it sounds like a pretty straight gig. Question! Lol. What if you ever finish within 8-10 hours before that time? Like what if you ever finish in like 5 hours and you’re only working 4 days a week or something. My fear is there will be days where I have to take a pay cut and I need consistent work and cash flow (as we all do) on the bright side I’d make about $1.50 more than I make now just starting out
So with the cargo vans the hours you work are the hours you work and what you get paid for now if you were to drive a step you van, you'll get guaranteed hours, so if you work 5 hours in one shift you will get paid for 9 hours. It's a guaranteed 36 hours a week for step vans
i wanna do this job it seems fun and working solo is what i like i used to work at amzon warehouse and got terminated my manager got me vto so my upt went negative i always wanna drive and deliver package ..can i work at the same building or not
1.) How long is training? 2.) What do you do about gas or maintenance? 3.) The phone you use for the pics, is that a company phone or personal? 4.) How do you know what addresses to go to?
Training is 2 or 3 days. They pay for gas. You get a gas card. They also handle maintenance. It's a company phone. The phone tells you where to go. It's a GPS
@@krisp35 How about restroom breaks, how many breaks can you take if you have to go to the restroom? I'm asking cause I'm Diabetic. God forbid you get in an accident, but IF a small accident happened, does Amazon cover the damage to the van? Thank you for replying to me, your video is truly informative. Thank you so much
Yeah the DSP covers the damage I think. I could be wrong and Amazon may cover it. Whatever is worked out between the DSP and Amazon. You can take 2 15 min breaks paid and 1 30 min unpaid. If you have to use the restroom, you have to use it. Mother nature lol.
If you are hired part-time, can you choose to work one only one shift per week if you wanted to or is there a minimum you must work? I would want to do one shift per week. Also, what about drinking water when you are driving or if you have to pee? I a medical condition where I drink a lot of water ... I heard there are recorders watching your every move. Will you get fired for drinking water or for stopping to pee?
Fired for drinking water would be like, illegal lol. No. You can drink gallons of water if you need it. When you have to use the restroom, you find one, and stop to use it. No problem there. If you got hired part-time, I don't believe you'd get to choose when you want to work. Might as well do flex if that's what you're looking for.
Good question! working on something now from last week. But it's been a busy week so, haven't been able to edit as quickly as I usually can. My weekend is free so I will get something uploaded hopefully by Sunday.
Yeah my first 2 days...whew I could not walk I was so sore! Today I had 192 stops, but had a rescue who took about 20 or so stops from me. Yeah they start you out with nursery routes when your new which is nice lol
I had 197 stops yesterday with 315 to deliver. Could barely stand in the back of the van at ALL. Overflow was a fucking nightmare and the 18 bags were too 😑 im dreading today
All of them have air. I started this job in the 100-degree weather. I wouldn't have gotten through it without the AC, lol. The step vans don't have radios, though.
@@krisp35 yea im in Tx I know that triple digit heat dont play lol without radios is fine ill just listen to my air pods I just hope they have some type of usb port so I can charge my phone
They provide them. I use my own but sparingly like if the one they give me dies. I don't really like the idea of them having access to my phones data. I've recently just switched to using a power brick in my pocket and just charging the company phone instead, I bought it after I drove a van on a nightmare route with no working charger jack, I even bring my own fast charger because the slow 1 amp chargers are a joke but that didn't work. The job is sweet but sometimes you have to do little things like this to look out for yourself like this so you don't get caught in a sticky situation.
I got offered a position for a DSP. But I’m hesitant because it’s Amazon and I worked at the warehouse for over a year and it was brutal on the body…idk if it’s like this for delivering. And I read reviews and saw videos of people saying it’s very stressful the amount you have to deliver and how time is extremely important. The DSP is also doing bi weekly pay. Do you honestly enjoy it? Especially with Peak coming soon.
I like it. But it's not for everyone. Their warehouse work is tough, but, delivery is too. Your constantly in and out of the van. But the plus, you get to work by yourself. A lot of people complain about the dsp's, but mine is cool. I am one of the faster ones too. I'm 32 years old. Not in my 20s anymore and I'm able to do it. You have to try, if you don't like it, at least you tried and now ya know.
It depends on the results of the test. For instance, if a person is prescribed schedule II medications, they will call you and ask you for proof of prescription, which will take an extra 2 or 3 days. But I'd give it a couple more days. If you don't hear something by this Wednesday or Thursday, I would call the company you applied for and have them check what's going on. Just check for phone calls from random numbers and check your voice-mail.
Hi I have question I'm from Vancouver bc canada I got the job as a amamzon delivery driver 3 days a week start training Monday but I will be going to college full time is it possible to go to school with being a amazon delivery driver I just heard it's a stressful job and with school full time that's even more stress just wanted some advice how the job is thanks
Yes it's definitely possible. It's not stressful at all in my opinion. As long as your DSP is flexible and allows you to only work 3 days a week, you should be fine.

Do you have to do your route in a certain order or do you start off with dropping off packages to the house’s closet to you? Also how you do know when you can go on break?
They have the routes in a pretty good order. I'd stick with following it. And for breaks, I think some dsps like you to be halfway through your route to take your half hour, but I don't take a half hour. I take 15 minutes kind of whenever I feel I need to use the restroom or grab a snack.
I never heard of this, it was required at the station, and I have worn it between stops if I knew both stops were businesses requiring mask no point in removing it. I was so happy when this mask stuff ended, especially with the crisp spring air
Wait so many questions 😩 I’m one of the quicker ones . Of course I want to be faster . How do you not get point taken off for seat ? And how to you record without the app doxing you 😩😩
Record my videos? I use my personal phone, mounted to a phone mount that you wear around your neck. It kind of lays on my chest. And your question regarding the seat, seatbelt?
I know. They want you to make sure your not missing anything. But half the time, I'll miss a box or 2 while loading and I'll have to "swipe to skip scanning" anyway. Lol
Sorry, someone else said same thing. That first clip was just a piece of the end of the video that I decided to put in the beginning of the video to make it more idk, do something different lol

Yellow brick road DSP?!
i started working for amazon DSP in Mckinney, TX, back in November.
@@krisp35gotcha, that sounds helpful. Also do you do country routes often or just mainly suburban routes?
Suburban routes
I'm normally in a step van, but when I'm placed in a Mercedes or Dodge cargo van, what I'll do is when it's time to sort the next bag, I'll push my passenger side seat forward as far as it will go and use that seat to place my boxes on. Then I'll place the envelopes between the seats and use my igloo cooler as a wall between the seats so the envelopes don't slide to the back of the van. That saves time and eliminates me from having to step to the back of the van to find my packages. They're already right in front with me.
I put my packages up front with me too. I use a bin, a storage bin type. It def saves time!
Your video is helpful -
We go to the warehouse to get our vans.
Easy.
@@krisp35 And if anything you will probably have a nursery route with the belt 90 to 120 packages
And like 60 stops to 80
I really enjoyed your video! I've driven a lot for Amazon Flex but never a DSP. Thanks!
If you’re interested in working for a dsp there a probably a few at the warehouse. Wear a vest and go and ask :) (if you want )
i did a ride along on wed that i aced but my first day alone is tomorrow. i had a brain fart. do we scan the qr code on the rack when we get it from the staging area? or just the totes when we bring it back to our van! pls answer :D
So at my station, we used to have to scan each tote, but now we only have to scan the cart. There is a QR sticker on the side of the cart that you scan for everything on the cart.
@@krisp35 thank you for answering!
Thank you for commenting 😀 Glad to help
Thank you for sharing I currently work for Ankeny IA market.
All Dsps provide you the rabbits.
And if you can't get a route done, don't beat yourself up. Sometimes it just isn't possible which is why they have rescues.
@@krisp35 I love doing country routes compared to neighborhood routes. Way less getting out and more driving lol
Haha I feel you!!
that's how i was with the nursery routes they have been giving me almost 300 packages everyday since last week, i can never finish, got suspended for a month so i just ended up quitting.
Bring treats
Can you set up the totes and boxes in any fashion in the van or they want it in a particular way and order?
yesterday i had 154 stops in pocono pa. it’s an hour drive from the facility but i had to go through a big detour so i started a half hour late. i started at 1:05 by 3:50 i had 117 successful deliveries and by 5:50 i have finished my entire route. had an hour drive back to the station and completed my day early even with a huge delay. a coworker of mine was in the same area as mine but with 94 stops only. he didn’t finish until 8:40 🤦🏽♂️
@@thatbrownkid-2473 do u get paid for a whole day if you finish early? Or just the hours you’re clocked in for
They texted me saying my class training starts tomorrow and Thursday because my background check was cleared. I still haven’t done my drug test yet, is the drug test needed at all? Heard it’s for people who wanna use the bigger step van
I had to take a drug test when I first got hired. When I applied for the step van, I didn't have to take one.
Looks very straight forward! I just start next week! Do you have any tips?
Might be a dumb question... But how are the bags sorted? Do the colors mean anything? Do they do it for you and is it by location or something?
The bags are sorted by location. The numbers on the bag will match what your itinerary shows in your phone.
Yes sunglasses are a must! Lol
That seems long to be at each stop for no? I'm at each stop for like 10 to 30 seconds but it depends on the type of house
@@krisp35 not really . It’s literally less than 2 minutes and the time you take to organize each tote you make up in speed from being able to grab and go.. because my tote may have 15-25 items and the item description may not be right so that’s just the way I do it.. once the packages are organized the stops literally fall off.
Oh and can you link your go pro and recording equipment
@@camchronicles9839 yea that makes sense. I do organize every time I get to a new bag. Everyone has their own way of working this job, whatever works best for ya. But organizing is a major role if ya want to do this job effectively ! I did just re read your first comment again, I actually do the same thing. Once a bag is emptied, I don't leave the current stop until I organize the next bag. My bad. I was working today actually, super tired!
I don't use a go pro! I have a Sony zv1 lol but I don't use that for recording at work. I bought a chest mount for my cell phone .I will put that link in description
Hi Kristin, do you get any type of lunch breaks or restroom breaks along your route? Just curious. Thanks.
I was with the company for only two weeks and they let me ride along but I never a got a nursery route when I started on my own
It really depends on the DSP that you go to. They all do it differently
The one I was employed at was poorly managed and poor working environment, in my opinion
Thank you! They have small dollies in each van. Still you'd have to lift it to put it on the dollie, but no more then like 60 lbs I'd say.
make sure to ask with help loading in the morning, at my base there's always plenty of helpful ppl, and even the big packages usually you can kinda brace it against your hip and walk it one handed using your hip and skeleton to hold it more than your actual arm if that makes sense. good luck buddy.
Oh trust me I purposely only bring over my first cart and start loading knowing one of the Amazon employees will grab the rest of my carts lol
How do you know which package out of the bales gets delivered first on a stop?
The phone tells you which type of package... plastic bag, envelope, small box, etc. You just have to find it in the bag and match the address.
How do you know what tote to get and how to organize it. ?
Your rabbit tells you which bag. And you organize by either looking at your itinerary or using the yellow sticker that's on each package
I thought the van was all ready loaded..I have an Inter view for a delivery
Position not sure if I want to do this..
Lol. ..no no. Drivers load their own vans
You won't know until you try. Try it. If you don't like it, move on
does the van have backup/reverse cameras? also do you have to make lefts on two way streets or can you take a longer way?
Yes, they have backup cameras, and to your other question, I'm not sure I understand. The van can make any turns that a normal car would have to make. Hope that answers!
@@krisp35 Thanks. What I mean is the gps route from your phone would say like "make a left" on a street with cars going both ways. Can I ignore the gps and go down the road to find a street light so it is more safe left turn?
Yes, if you ignore the GPs and go a different way, it will re-route you to go that different way.

How is the new dsp now if you’re still there bro?
How do you sort packages out to use the best/fastest driving route?
I’d assume someone sorts it for you and they give you a route. I’m not sure though.

I think I'll try it like that one day
I usually just throw all my shit in the back of the van and head out for my delivery lol

I don't really like the idea of them having access to my phones data. They have the routes in a pretty good order. I'd stick with following it. And for breaks, I think some dsps like you to be halfway through your route to take your half hour, but I don't take a half hour. I take 15 minutes kind of whenever I feel I need to use the restroom or grab a snack.
I'm curious. Does Amazon require you to wear a mask while driving? I see Amazon drivers alone in their vehicles with masks on. That is crazy.
It is not required. It used to be required while in the station, but not anymore.
I agree. I think, just to buy a can of Lysol and spray the van lol
I never heard of this, it was required at the station, and I have worn it between stops if I knew both stops were businesses requiring mask no point in removing it. I was so happy when this mask stuff ended, especially with the crisp spring air
Are the vans like driving a U-Haul van?
What’s the name of these kind of facilities???
What’s the name of this kind of warehouse??
DSP ???
Delivery Stations
DSP stands for Delivery Service Partner
Amazing video!!!
Hey great video!
When does a typical shift start?
Is thats Paulsboro NJ?
West deptford
Wait so many questions 😩
I’m one of the quicker ones . Of course I want to be faster . How do you not get point taken off for seat ? And how to you record without the app doxing you 😩😩
Record my videos? I use my personal phone, mounted to a phone mount that you wear around your neck. It kind of lays on my chest. And your question regarding the seat, seatbelt?
why do drivers scan every bag lol and boxes i just skip to finish lol
I know. They want you to make sure your not missing anything. But half the time, I'll miss a box or 2 while loading and I'll have to "swipe to skip scanning" anyway. Lol
My friends and I want to work for amazon do you have to get vaccinated? I prefer no vaccine. And how long is your lunch break?
No you don't have to. They give you two paid 15 minutes and one 30 min unpaid break
@@krisp35 awesome plant here needs help bad we just don't want to be vaccinated thanks!
Do they allow or give you guys a hand truck for heavy boxes?
Yes there's a small dolly in each van
Wow it looked like you started your day at night and eneded at night. Those are long shifts. How you use the Bathroom??
Sorry, someone else said same thing. That first clip was just a piece of the end of the video that I decided to put in the beginning of the video to make it more idk, do something different lol
@@krisp35 do all Amazon drivers work for DSP?
@@jordangoat2654 that's a great question. I was wondering this myself lately until yesterday while on a delivery I happened to be delivering to the same place another driver was at, but this driver was in his own car, which sounds like flex.
@@krisp35 I know some Amazon drivers use their own cars but I was wondering if all drivers that drives an Amazon van work for a DSP. Btw do you work for a DSP or directly for Amazon?
What is the second song
Why do you have your packages in the back? Easier just empty the tote out and have your envelopes laying next to the passenger seat and have your boxes on top of your passenger seat just grab and go organization is key especially when you start getting 350+ packages daily
Yea that's what I do lol
I don't open every bag, just the 1 im working in. That would be a mess and too unorganized. I do it bag by bag though
Did you get paid for 3 day training... your orientation day.....and ride along???
Yes I got paid for my 2 days (at the time) training. Did not have to do a ride along.
What station/warehouse are you out of?
West Deptford, South Jersey
Is it possible to pick somebody up to help me with the deliveries ? Will they notice ? Do they give you a card to fill gas up ?
There are cameras in the vans. They would eventually notice if you do it enough. I'm not sure if there are consequences for that or not. Yes, you get a gas card.
thinking about trying this out but idk lol ive never driven a vehicle that big. cant be that different from driving a typical car tho. also, what is the difference between a DOT driver and a non DOT driver?
A dot driver? To drive the cargo vans you do not need a DOT physical but for the step vans you need to have training and a dot physical
There's not "DOT driver" or none dot drivers. A DOT physical however is what your thinking of I believe. And driving the cargo vans is easy. If you know how to drive, you'll be fine
@@krisp35 ah gotcha
Hi Kristin, would you recommend this job?
Yes I would
Thank you for sharing.
Have u ever delivered like food or wine ?
Your video was so helpful btw
I love it the most when I see that my videos are helpful. Thank you. I've delivered boxes of snacks yes but wine, I don't belive I have.
Whats like to deliver for Amazon ?
It's not bad. Been doing it for 9 months now. Very physical. You will loose weight. Lots of walking
I see you work for Scratch lol… I work there too
Do you have to contact the customer before you leave the package?
Unless if in the notes they ask to be contacted, no you don't have to.
what is the part time hours & days they offer?
Depends on the DSP that you work for
You got 9 totes and a few overflow? Nursery??
Yeah, this video was a day during my first week. Maybe even my 2nd day, lol
@@krisp35ah ok. I didn’t know the amount of time since it wasn’t said in the video. Or was it?
Are you still paid for the full 10hr shift if you finish early ?
Only during peak, or if your a step van driver and
Would u say that the job is chill?
Yeah I think it is. Not for everyone, but definitely chill
Hey can I ask what do you record on ?
I use my cell phone, Galaxy s21. As well as a phone mount that you wear around your neck. Link should be in description
@@krisp35 I appreciate you lol how are you editing your vids if you don’t mind me asking
