vons not only a great artist but hes also a great guy ...ive got the privilege of getting to hang out with him on several ocasions (weve got a mutual friend) & hes the real deal! ...great interview! god bless ya bro
Hot Rod...we miss you here in norco. You had some great car shows at your place. A couple of your guest signed my car at one of your shows. Great tribute to you that Dennis did.
Never heard of this guy. Glad you brought him to my attention . I was going to say something stoopid about the square headlights in the Plymouth. But nevermind...Thanks Dennis
WELL, NO I CANNOT DO IT MYSEKLF!!! But, I've seen dozens that can and like in my other comment just used better "knee pads"! Does great work no doubt but, doesn't impress only the people never seen it before!!!
Hey Dennis, next time you see my 57 check out one of your original "Certified Car Nut" decals on the windshield. That has to be at least 20-years old maybe older. Make your way to Bowling Green in august and I'll be there racing at the Tri-5 Nationals.
Excellent. Bravo. Dennis, have you done a Winfield or one with "The Lead Slinger" Bill Hines (deseased) interview? Please consider doing more interviews of the past/ current legends.
The adhesive plastic roll stuff looks really good for about 3 yrs while you are hunting stainless. Kinda like tape pinstipes... few people consciously notice the difference... and they accept the look. 😎
@@hotrodray6802Hey Ray! yeah i've got ab¥ut 10m of 20mm chrome mould tape used to to replace the shabby old stock bumper moulds already, but was hoping to find something with a little style. Its an Australian EB Fairmont from the 90s. I did find someones making a chrome/black mould with end spears to suit late stock 70s Holdens/Toyotas trims though which is tempting to use
I have one of three huge “Flyin Eyeballs done by Dutch, mine is the only one that is signed, and I also have his shop refrigerator from the Bruckers, with al new late model internals, along with a thirteen year restoration on the Von Dutch Bus, all for sale…
I am not sure if even the owner knows, but those instruments and push buttons are from a 1963/1964 Chrysler, not a 1959. The styles were very different
I'm NOT impressed as I've seen a twelve year old girl do amazing jobs also!!! And, as dozens of others!!!! He just used better "knee pads" then the rest!!! BUT, GREAT WORK! NO, I have no talent in doing this((((( But, I paint and lead body's!!!

Truly genuine guy! He did some pinstriping on my uncle’s car back in 1995
The guy is a legend. It's funny that his cars aren't pinstriped.
I thought the same thing.
Try to listen more carefully next time.
1) monochromatic street rod
2) his father's car (replica)
The maroon shoebox built 30 yrs ago "like a high school kid with little money"... no $ for striping.
Just like the doctor's kid is always sick and the mechanic's car is always broke

That picture is wayy older then 40 years ago... this must be old episode.
The picture is 60+ years old. Dennis's mind is just 20+ years out of wack. It happens
@@rolladex6514 Oh haha okay. Thanks!
2019 - 1958 = ??
How come no pinstripes on his cars?...did I miss something?
YES you did. Listen carefully next time.
Never heard of this guy. But I have heard of Mitch Kim who is a tremendous striper from Oregon.
I can pinstripe in my sleep.
Sorry but never heard of him. Have heard of Roth and Von Dutch though...
His name is Hot Rod?
Yup.
What is the problem ??
Is a photograph still rare if its on the internet?
Very strange - no pinstriping on either car ???
That is kinda interesting. 🤔
