The Genesis G80 is undoubtedly a stunning example of sculpted artistry. You are likely the only reviewer who has genuinely captured its beauty and effectively communicated its design to the audience, showcasing the complete package it offers.
What I love about Hyundai Motor Group is how they don't skimp out on tech throughout their lineup. All of the interior tech is on the same level as the Germans, if not even better. And yet, most of that same tech has trickled down to my 2025 Kona, which costs around 30k. I firmly believe that this is the way it should be! Use your expensive models as flagships for new tech, and then put that tech into cheaper models, forcing you to innovate further in your newer flagships.
But what kind of powertrain? The trend now is hybrid performance. EVs are cool but the Ioniq 5 N and 6 N would be a better option than stuffing that powertrain and big battery into this G80. And if they go hybrid because we know they aren't going to use any V8s, what could they possibly use to boost power from 375 hp to well over 600?
@@ch6inre6ction11 It looks like the G80 Magma will use the same 3.5t gas powertrain, maybe with some special juice. They are also teasing a G80 Electrified Magma, so that will be interesting.
@@entropy11 But what will it compete with besides a Tesla Model S Plaid? What about the likes of the M5? RS6? E63? Why can't they utilize a high performance engine? What's stopping them?
11:14 The only thing about this G80 that doesn't look good to me is the rear end. Genesis tried to go for a quasi-fastback style but it sits too tall, and the trunk deck terminates bluntly to accommodate the elliptical design making it seem like a afterthought. The second-gen (DH) rear-end and side silhouette looks almost perfect by comparison. The concepts on the other hand do a incredible job of realizing the intent in a more traditional manner.
It’s amazing to see the progress (with the trials and tribulations) since they launched their first car here as the Excel aka Mitsubishi Precis (2nd gen Mirage). I was working just getting out of high school when that thing came out. At least it lasted longer than a Yugo. In terms of progress…they have done more with cars on U.S. soil than the big three have done since 1985. If that statement wasn’t true then we wouldn’t be looking at this car right now.
Beautiful cars but their service department will be their downfall. I've already decided that after my car is paid off. I may never purchase another Genesis again. Very disappointing. Because I absolutely love their cars.
I much prefer the pre-refresh version (2021-2024) but there's no doubt this is the most stunning sedan in the market at the moment, followed by the TLX Type S. It's what a modern Infiniti J30 would've looked like if it existed.

G80 Magma is gonna be a beast. Personally I'm likely to pounce on a GV60 Magma soon as they're available.

@@ch6inre6ction11 No one buys them, they have already tried with kia stinger and that is sub $50k
imagine if they dropped $100k car
@@ch6inre6ction11 Well Hyundai isn't known for great engines so that's a bit of a roadblock.
Beautiful
If I were looking for a big sedan, this would be my choice aswell
No german brands, THIS
Best looking in Class 💯🔥🔥

There are automobiles like the G80, and then there's the 5 series (G90). Why anyone would pick the latter over this?.....
I have the same question😂
Genesis designers are on a roll the interior is beautiful I would rather have the G70 because it’s sportier but I would drive either one and be happy

This car needs twin pipes per side for an exhaust…visually it would be more appealing. Especially if the bumper was configured for them.

The new Genesis models are some of the best looking vehicles on the market!
I think a wagon g80 would be baller. Please design it!
With how the brands reliability ratings have been trending (downwards very quickly) it’s probably rated pretty accurately.
It's ranked first in Kelley blue book magazine .
and it's reliable car
Great review ✅🏁
That cheesecake analogy had too much sugar on it. No one can discern beteen 4.5 and 5s 0-60mph times. 😁
It looks like the GTA version of a Bentley
Nothing wrong with that!
what a beautiful automobile. everything looks put together. every feature seems like there was human thought behind and not a computer.
Can you please talk about the hyundai veloster turbo 2013 quirky design. I’ve been waiting On that for ages.
Calling a knock off Audi A7 with a chicken wire grill art js wild
I like the concept, but not the new branding
Where‘s the Jaguar Video? 😂
A temu audi a7
