I saw some people in the past criticizing you for not doing sketches anymore. First of all, I still see sketches and redesigns, just not as much as it was initially. Second, I think car reviews like this from the a design engineer is a very unique perspective that we can’t get anywhere else. Don’t stop doing either one.
Just a reminder, the Camry has an eCVT not a regular CVT it uses a planetary gear set rather then a belt or chain! More reliable and no rubber bandy feel
And there's nothing to break..... These things are bulletproof also it has a first gear. It's become a pet peeve when people associate it with a regular CVT but I think it's a branding error on Toyotas part however, at the end of the day it's still a continuously variable transmission...a CVT so I'm also the problem😂
Toyota Camry is my favorite, my hero, my dream. I've been seeing many of them a dozen times every and that motivates me a little when I was practicing my driving, I'm going to get one, once I get my driver's license.

43,000 for a Camry is diabolical. People need to quit financing cars they can't afford and enabling the companies to sell for so much money. They save on labor over seas then charge extra anyways. It won't end until people refuse to pay these prices.
just want to point out that i love how they integrated the screens into the dashboard , i hate how car companies stick one or even the two screens just on the dashboard, maybe theres a way to do it right but all the ones i have seen are ugly
I just paid in full for one of those 2025 Camrys in this Heavy Metal paint. I chose the XLE with Premium Package. It delivers 50+mpg’s. Not terribly exciting but it does everything well.
When you says one of the best stack rank it. where you think it fall.? I think we have 6-8 sedans in this price range. I opted for the xle 19" brutal on the roadways for my daily route. Seats not bad. I will say this Safety features are well done no need for that driver monitoring system. The basic Safety features does very well.
Great car, excellent at its purpose. Small nitpick: True highway mpg is more like 37 or 38. Drive for 400 miles (far enough that battery isn't helping) instead of whatever short test loop is used for rating and you'll see. Not a knock against the car but against the rating system.
Yes, they are very different. Toyota ECVT is a planetary gear set and they’re known to last very long as long as you change the fluid. Honda ECVT uses an electric motor that is connected directly to the wheels most of the time and the gas engine just generates electricity for the electric motor and battery. The gas engine connected directly to the wheels at higher speed via clutch pack. It’s a pretty reliable system too and has been out since 2014, just change the fluid. Regular CVTs get a bad rep because of Nissan but most other companies don’t have major issues as long as you maintain them.
@@veritas6466 No they don’t. Maintain them and they’ll last. There is no widespread issues with their CVTs unless if you have some sources that say otherwise. That goes for both, their ECVT and CVT.
@@Fadic4 You're right. They aren't loud. Don't: Overheat, slip, shudder, cause stalling on acceleration, leak, nor produce what's been described as a, "strange" smell. You should definitely purchase one.

I am going to order one in this color at the end of January. In my country the top spec has 18 inch wheels instead of the 19s. We also don't have the option for the red interior.
I want the 360deg camera system and front cross traffic sensors but hate that they tied it to premium plus with the stupid pano glass roof that will have issues.
Not exactly. Lots of squeaky noises and rattling. Also the passenger side seating is cramped with new styling. Toyota quality ain't what it used to be.
@jordanosborne4383 gun metal, bronze, black with some type of accents (not 100% black), brushed stainless look, etc. something so the wheels don't blend in with the ties completely and sets it off. Lot out there that isn't chrome or all black.

That color looks sick
It does switch lane for you. I have one.
I thought so too. You are supposed to press the stalk down for 2 seconds and let go, and it will change lane automatically.
Still with the fake dual pipes. The left pipe goes nowhere and is just welded on to solid metal surface.
The gauge cluster does need a cover. I dislike how Hyundai is just a flat piece of glass exposed to all the sunlight

How big the front grill should be? YES
Starting price is 28k
unpopular opinion the last gen camry design specifically the xle and xse models design looked a lot better however the interior is a massive upgrade
That front grill is hideous. It looks like my AC condenser grill. I guess the Avalon designer is now working on the Camry.
The headlights of chinese toyota camry is amazing
I have a 2019 SE in red, this might be my exact spec if I ever need to replace it with another camrry

Wtf is that grill though, I kinda hate it.
They need to stop prioritizing the US and start delivering to Canada. 8 month wait on the camry in BC 😭
Toyota always under builds they do this for perceived rarity so they can raise the price otherwise they wouldn't sell any
Paddles on EV/hybrids are for break regen levels.
That front is gotta be the ugliest front design of any car, old and new.
No doubt they are in competition with Audi for the ugliest car on the road
Nice
$43000 is Lexus ES with V6…
That steering wheel doesn't suit the beautiful design
All that red is an eyesore IMO 🫣
I don't like the red either I prefer a black interior. At least until they come up with something darker.
@ I don’t mind light colored seats, it’s just red is too jarring of a color IMO
Matches the rest of the butt ugly car
I had heard that Toyotas game plan was to push Toyota more upmarket and in turn push Lexus even further upmarket.
With manual transmission will be great 👍
It does look good. However 40k for a Camry is a bit too high for me. It looks too small for that price
It’s like full size

43k for a camry 😂😂😂 w/o tax title and fees. Might as well buy a fkng truck for 20k more

The front grille needs to be black. The fact that it's the same color as the body really bothers me ❌
It's more Avalon than Camry. Vast improvement.
