Josh, I'm just a retired guy that loves maintaining my truck in my backyard. I really enjoy watching your videos and getting all the great advice from a professional detailer like yourself. For blow drying, I use a small Ridgid 18V Cordless Compact Jobsite Blower and it works awesome blowing water off my vehicle. It's actually on sale right now with a 2AH battery and charger for about $70.
I’ve been doing this for years and it is slick. Very little drying by hand and it gets the water out of the crevices where it can hide and drip later and leave a trail.
That’s a $500-600 unit when getting batteries and stubby. Lowes has the Ego 615 right now for $149 for the 2 amp battery. Others have the ego 650 for $199 with 5 amp battery (heavier). Both blow (no pun intended) the Milwaukee Away
Ego is the BEST in the market cordless blower currently however many detailers are already pre-vested highly into an extended product family of batteries AND tool options Ego doesn't offer. i.e. myself 20v dewalt because of all of the OTHER tools they make & warranty support in my garage for last 10 years. While others have pivoted to Milwaukee as they no doubt make the BEST recent 5 years performing of cordless battery tools.
@@wilsonautodetailing Buy the Ego 615 cfm for 149 and with what's left over, you can buy a Dewalt circular saw and a very nice lunch and use that new saw to cut the tube straight off the EGO. NOTHING justifies paying 330 dollars for a 600 cfm blower.
For the ryobi people i use the workshop blower and I'd probably compare that to strength of like the pro blow. Something small and compact but it moves water well. I wanted the pro blow but having to pull out an extension cord was too much. I'm glad I got the workshop blower.
I’m curious why nobody reviews corded leaf blowers? They’re usually significantly cheaper and more powerful. Aside from having to run an extension cord, I don’t know why more people don’t use them? Most mobile detailers being a generator with extension cords anyways.
I have the Skil PWRCore 40 volt and just cut the long nozzle off and bought a red blowerband. I like the stock one and think it looks better. I only use it for the car anyway. It works great indeed!
I almost stopped watching because as usual you talk so far I can’t keep up lol but I was happy toward the end you slowed it down and made it more watchable 😊
I just like using the blower getting like 90% of water off of it and then use a towel for the rest….using a blower for the roof of an SUV helps so much! Who wants to move a step ladder ten times around the car
Would using a blower to blow sand and dust from a car (without being washed) damage it’s paint? As I live in a desert like area where sand and dust accumulate over cars all the time.
So.. I have the 765. Joel’s Details says that they’ve “time tested” the Big Boi blower method being faster than a blower w/ a stub nozzle. Both the Big Boy Pro + and the Milwaukee dual battery M18 are close in price (After you pay for the batteries, etc). I’m assuming you could have either and you seem to go for the most efficient method, that provides the best result. That being said, what made you choose this over the Big Boi?
I cannot use these type to dry a car because of a bad shoulder , but if I do need to dry a car I prefer the metro vac master blaster , but because I use a Fortador steam unit I generally never need to dry a car
I just bought a Milwaukee g fuel 2 battery leaf blower, now my question is would you dry a car with the leaf blower even if the vehicle isn’t ceramic coated?
Probably not possibe but I'll ask anyway - would this work on rinseless washes? The longest part of washing my car is the drying process. It can literally take an hour sometimes.
I prefer a dryer like this because it’s so easy to throw around. I Can work way faster with this being cordless and simple than something I have to pick up and move as I go around
Buy the battery dual pack 5ah from home depot you get a free gift pick the charger than buy the tool alone at 300 that’s 500 compare to the 900 bundle. Just safe everyone 400 thank me now
If you’re using deionised water then there’s NO POINT in drying the car. Deionised water will not leave any water marks when drying so going in after with a blower or towel is pointless.
It's this video sped up? Your speaking extraordinarily fast, it's very unnatural and annoying, just wondering if there is a reason for this? Are you trying to fit in a certain time frame? No one talks this fast for 5.5 minutes for no reason. A lot of TH-camrs tubers do this, just say'n Otherwise good vid.

Definitely true
air compressor and leaf blowers are really great to have for many reasons.
I like the enthusiasm. You have A LOT of energy

It definitely gets expensive quickly. That said, the stubby nozzle is the way to go with any blower

Been using one for about a year works great not with the stubby nozzle. That’s a good suggestion.
Thanks, Luke always giving helpful tips
Definitely!
I’ve been using my 6hp vacuum on the blower mode and it works pretty good, not heated
You don’t wanna blow the stuff that’s sitting in the shop vac on the paint
@@evandils5640 there’s a filter
You have a 6hp vacuum? What are you vacuuming, wheat fields?
$900 for blower, two batteries and charger??? No thanks. Ill keep looking into an EGO blower for a third of the price.
Parkside Performance is better than Ego with price
@@SmarthPhonesCz never heard of it and can't find it for sale anywhere other than eBay. I'll pass.
I use my Stihl BR600 backpack blower, lots of CFM...LOL
@@scottpratson7766 that's gas powered right 🤣
@@AlexandStuff yes sir I already have it for leaves in my lawn
Look up Project Farm
He did a test on the leaf blowers and other products
My ol' man has one of these Milwaukee single battery blowers, the stubby looks great to blow dust off PC parts as well.
I almost stopped watching because as usual you talk so far I can’t keep up lol but I was happy toward the end you slowed it down and made it more watchable 😊
Is this method as effective for vehicles without ceramic coating? Any additional risk of spotting?
I’ve been drying with an EGO cordless blower with short nozzle attachment followed by Meguiars X2000 Water Magnet towels for years
Yep, great combo
No wonder he didn’t mention the price in the video. Holy expenses blowers Batman! 😳
I got a old school blower with a long orange cord I bout at a pawnshop 35 it’s amazing 😅

Haha he is just good at editing and I think he turns the speed up on his video to like 1.4 speed or something lol

Do you think it can substitute the buffing part of the waterless wash process?

Where is the link for the short tube? Just bought the milwaukee 2824-20

I own a gas powered stil blower can I use my gas powered blower to dry my car?
the air's not hot right? Bc won't hot air mess with my film protection?

Hi is using drying aid (ceramic spray) when drying is a must to achieve screatch free drying?
Btw in using twisted loopd drying towel
I detail at a dealership and this would speed up my details. My question is how many cars can you dry on a single charge?
You'll get about 15 minutes out of a 4ah battery.
Can you only use a leaf blower on ceramic coated cars?
Does your car have to be ceramic coated for this to work?
No
I cannot use these type to dry a car because of a bad shoulder , but if I do need to dry a car I prefer the metro vac master blaster , but because I use a Fortador steam unit I generally never need to dry a car
Definitely understand, these machines can be a bit heavy
Most vehicles i do have no protection (sheeted water) what product do u recommend to help get beads before blow
I use my Stihl gas handheld. On my ceramic coated caddy it works great! Then get any residual water with a awesome microfiber towel
I have the M18 single battery blower #2724-20. Will this nozzle fit the same?
Do you use an after wash product to make it easier to blow dry?
Great video! Very cool! Great idea!
My Master Blaster works great no scratches no residual water left. No batteries to charge.
Superbe travail
Recently just picked up a worx turbine. Seems to do the job.

How many cars can you dry using the Milwaukee? And what batteries?
I think very powerful use leaf blower petrol ⛽️
Stupid price for a blower, Milwaukee can blow it out their A**.
Good thing I already have one
