Indians are more obsessed with "The Greats", not the winners. Some of the Indian Players like KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer never takes risks against a Big Team when Teams needs the most, not to mention KL played 50+ dot balls against Australia in the Final and was never ready to take risk and increase run rate. I think India are an amazing side and here in Aus, we luv to play India. The crowds are amazing & so supportive. I think on the day Australia just got it right, and the India middle order batsman hardly got a bat in most games prior, because India's top order were so dominant. Anyhow India put on a wonderful spectacle for support of cricket. They just did it so well. It made the Australia win so special, as they were playing against all odds. Thanks India for a wonderful tournament.
    For England,
BTW who cares what England thinks, they struggled to beat minnow teams!

What Peter and Pradeep along with radical Left-wing portal Wire are saying is that Ahmedabad crowd was rubbish. I was in Ahmedabad and let me till you, 90 % of the crowd was from Delhi, UP, Mumbai and other states. So the silence is on all of us, but why leave the opportunity to attack Gujarat? The hidden hate is for PM Modi. How dare a small venue become so powerful? My limited take - there was a sense of shock. Truth -Aussies were well prepared and was a better team on that day.
India played great cricket. This team plays relentless cricket which also supports many boards. Indian fans have created a billion-dollar sports franchise. Yeah, things could have been better in Ahmedabad, but it is on all of us. This Gujarat hate is bigotry.

I just can't get my head around how badly the Indian team played when it really mattered the most. How can you claim to be a great team when you win most of the time but hardly ever when it REALLY counts? Indian crowds should stop celebrating individual performances and instead focus on what the each player is doing toward India's glory -- if that were really the focus, the team would be having more success in the world cups.

    • @davidengel6688
      @davidengel6688 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@@SmokemmBy what measure does ‘India probably have the most talented players’? Playing in their home conditions, especially conditions often tailored to suit their strengths, should give Indian players ample opportunity to perform well. And they did, mostly, in such circumstances., which is why they topped most of the tables for this particular tournament. And no-one seriously contends that India was performing best for most of the tournament.
But to attribute this to superior ‘talent’, something impliedly innate in these players, is nationalistic nonsense. The sort of nonsense we heard from English commentators during and after the Ashes series.
Are India’s batters really more ‘talented’ than Smith, Warner, Head, Labushagne, in any form of cricket? Smith’s talent is freakish, even if his form has slipped a bit lately - which is why his record at test level exceeds Kohli’s by a significant margin. Are India’s batters more talented than Maxwell -remember his freakish 201? - and even Marsh in this form of cricket? Are India’s bowlers more ‘talented’ than Starc, Hazlewood and Cummins, a trio that has consistently proven itself to be the most potent fast attack in world cricket across test and odi cricket for years now? Are the Indian players more talented catchers and outfielders? These Australian players are not mediocre individualistically. Australia’s success is not due solely to their playing as a team, though they certainly do that much better now than they did with Langer getting in the way.
India, like England, should stop inflating the intrinsic ‘talent’ of their players and start acknowledging the excellence of a very good team of Australian players who outplayed India in India on a wicket that was prepared by Indians in front of an intimidating crowd of 100,000 plus Indians. That takes real talent, both mentally and in terms of the intrinsic attributes necessary for cricketing excellence.
      Here ended the lesson.

What Australia is in cricket, they are like brazil in soccer
    Austalia think there the best
They play to win, its not just abilities

All stems from there culture there training resumes

For all the comments on silence - pls factor in the point that this was the first time a host country lost in the final of a World Cup. I would imagine somewhat similar scenes if Australia lost a WC final at the MCG and 99.9% of the crowd in just Aussies. If they lost against India would be a completely different scene all together as majority of the audience would be Indians… 😅

Then Later Dew came batting became much easier for you...If you had batted first, You should have scored all below 150 runs...After India South Africa or New Zealand deserved this world cup...Australia won by mistake...

Happy to be 3rd or 4th best in yours and Indian fan’s eyes while getting trophies…. Seriously bad sportsmanship until the end.
Teaspoon of concrete for you and grow the hell up. Pathetic, if India won I would have cheered them as an Australian fan and CRICKET fan and said well done they were better on the day/night.
We weren’t the best team for the whole of the tournament but on the night, when it counted we showed up. We won. You lost. Be better when you loose if you want respect in the future.
I would support the POM’s over India and that’s saying something. It isn’t that I don’t like Indian cricket either, love it…. But I fucking loathe Indian fans.

Lol….India LOST the World Cup because they were outplayed by Australia who had a strategy for all aspects of the match. Bowling first, being disciplined in the field, rotating bowlers, the will to win, etc etc. Stop making excuses as India LOST as they didn’t play aggressive cricket unlike Australia. India had the advantage of choosing the pitch, a homeground and the crowd yet they still LOST. So claiming India were the better team is just NOT true otherwise they’d be the winners!
