I really wish they would add endless like you said in the description. After completing the game and doing the harder modes I feel there is a lack of content but I never really had the chance to make a full metal man crater.
It's such a good game. It's the only city builder I've played with a reasonably decent story, and there are several quests. It brings in RPG elements, which I really like, and I'd like more of it (sending scouts out to explore the surrounding land is a fantastic feeling). As I was playing Frostpunk I kept thinking of ways that the story/RPG elements could be enhanced - voice acting/cinematics could help. Just something that makes me care more about individual citizens so when one of them dies, I care about them as an individual than a statistic. I'd love to see some more DLC/expansion packs (or even a Frostpunk 2). The game looks and sounds great. Like most of these sorts of games, it's most satisfying when you don't know what to expect (I got caught out on The Arks because I got complacent and got caught out!). I completed the main mission first time, but by the absolute skin of my teeth. I kept expecting to fail - everything was going wrong, people were dying and threatening me. It was a mess, but I succeeded. It was tense and exciting, which was just what I wanted. Unfortunately, once you've played a few of the missions it becomes easy. There is a best way of doing things. If you're having to take extreme measures then you're playing the game wrong. It doesn't matter if you rack up the difficulty - you know what the most efficient build order and strategy is so the principles are the same. I had the same thing with Banished - it's tough to start off with, but you quickly learn from your mistakes and subsequent playthroughs are orders to magnitude easier. The base experience is so fantastic though - well worth the money. There's a lot more they could do with the game, but I am glad they opted to make a solid, bug-free game that's immensely fun to play rather than over-complicate it and introduce bugs, balance issues, etc. I really hope they bring out some more missions and perhaps even introduce mod support - I'd love to have a go making my own mission. I also hope Frostpunk becomes a series.

Personally I think discontent is less of "how misarable people are" and more of "how much they blame you for their issues and state of the city". Just food for thought. time stamp: 3:15
I was going to try and make a Playthrough Series on my Channel of this but damn is it hard and tricky to progress lol. Made it to day 10 and I had everything messed up. Early game decisions can drastically effect later game situations. 10/10 Would freeze myself to the chair again.

Once the DLC with the Volcanoes comes out, you'll find Frostpunk offers a more complete experience.
They did add a sandbox mode aka Endless mode to play without limitations
This game looks stellar and I'm glad it's coming to the PS4 so I can also play it on my PS Vita on the run.
It literally looks like a game I could play on PC in 2005
