I've found success playing McCassidy near the tank and supports, helping the former with the tank brawl, peeling out for the latters in case of divers, and even getting ranged picks on overextending dps or supports; outside of going for off-angles, which he can't really do safely with his limited mobility, he can pretty much do it all -- not unlike Reaper in a way -- and while his magnetic nade isn't a flashbang, the strong homing and big damage of it can still allow him to take on a lot of 1v1s and at least come out with a trade.
His M2 can also dish out some serious dps now even when taking reloading into account, so while he's not quite a 1v1 menace to tanks like Reaper is, you can still easily wear them out over time with it, especially if they think they can hide their heads behind barriers or some other gimmick and be safe against you.

People say Cassidy is less survivable in ow2, but he's still pretty good if you know how to dodge and aim.
I have 1v1ed many a bastion and lived to tell the tale.
Or maybe they suck at bastion. Hard to tell.
Hard to say haha, but I agree you can definitely do it because just the Bomb by itself I think is 120 damage if I remember correctly and it's like 140 / headshot

I wish his right click felt worth using. It's such a fun ability but since it can't crit and does less damage per shot it's sadly not
I've just given up on Gundam Evolution for now. It's a shame because I never finished the Season Pass for that Unicorn skin and got Exia with the extra tokens, I assumed I'd be able to stick it out, but I just can't play a game where half of the enemy team have a guaranteed one shot kill, and mine never stick together and get destroyed.
So until the one shots and stun combo one shots are gone for good, I can't bring myself to play it.
gotta love the one shots. I'm surprised more poeple don't talk about that, but those that played and didn't like that just probably left right away
@@Dunmuir Yeah, I was on daily, but gradually lost the ability to pull through an entire game since 70% of them were just spent on respawn because of Sniper, Barbatos and Marasai.

Even pro cassidies can't deal with a tank of genji dive. Thought I was doing something wrong but no, just nerfed to the ground
There’s always more that can be done, but Cassidy definitely is more diveable than befor
