- HOW TO PLAY ECHO IN OVERWATCH 2! In this video I talk about how Echo has changed from OW1, explain how to play her in the new 5v5, and then talk through a pro player's gameplay!

That flight launch tip is a game changer for keeping flight cooled down and able to use.. also diving high ground easier since you can get up a little faster. Will definitely be doing this

Go to your settings, controls, then to echo specifically. Change ‘hold for flight ‘ or whatever it’s called to off.
I love Echo so much. I never was a DPS player for the first 5 years of OW1 but I started playing her a year ago in death match then qp then comp. I may not have great aim but projectiles are a lot easier

wait deathmatch > qp is also exactly what made me play echo 😂 but also because it feels natural transitioning to her from being a pharah main
@@charistrixie when ow2 came out and echo was locked for me bc of the bug, I swapped to pharah and did so well 😂

Nobody in my team ever dives the highground, not even my tanks when I have a DVA or winston, so I have decided to start playing echo so I can do it myself.

Heard her character was meant to be released in ow2 but instead they chose to go with ow so she didnt change

I guess the new skins are for like when overwatch got back together with winston mei tracer etc and echo just got out of the pod so she only joined overwatch when they got back together she wasn’t there in the fall of overwatch
@@iiqooza3385 No lmao it doesn't have a lore reason, she was supposed to release in overwatch 2, so her ow1 design is her ow2 design to lift all thw effort away from the character, since they have to pay her voice actress for every new character's ult and grunts anyways

thankss for the video! I'm new OW in general and found Pharah to be my fav but just unlocked Echo and she's amazing, I'm having difficulty with her flight. I still don't know all the basic tactics/ team chemistry that a long time player would know.
just keep practicing! Takes some time to learn things so don't worry about slow improvement
This helped out i started playing with her and i struggle with her ult i never knew she had a 300 health cap this makes me play tanks more smartly

the widowmaker guide is to hit your shots and not play her when the enemy has a bunch of shields. pick somebody that got utility for the team instead.
Why in your clips do you just spray your stickys into nothing, knowing you’ll probably just hit one or two. Shouldn’t you hold the cd and try to assassinate as you said yourself? Echo can’t kill anyone without the stickys
It’s not my gameplay, but the OWL pros 👀 But he’s just going for early ult charge before he can commit to a proper assassination. So it’s okay to use it before it’s likely you could secure a kill

@@FrogEnjoyer17 they are on a very short cooldown, so using them from safety isn’t a big deal because it’s unlikely that you’ll be punished for not having them

the only dps i ever want to swap to is bastion. like i fly as high as i can, pick bastion and transform on my way down, otherwise only tanks and healers sometimes.

Might be in the video since I haven’t finished it yet but I wanna ask before I forget. Can echo gain extra health past 300 after transforming if she uses an ability that grants it? For example sigmas kinetic grasp. If echo copies sigma and then uses kinetic grasp can she go past 300?
At that point everything should work normally, but I haven’t 100% tested it.

Yes, if you use Junker Queen's ability, it puts her to 500 health, so I assume it's the same for every other character
Have you done a video with good echo settings? I wanna main her but I can’t find good settings.
Sensitivity should just be the same as you’re used to. For reticle try a crosshair with a center gap of about 60ish. Binds don’t super matter, but make sure you have the hold to fly setting on. That setting allows you to just use the dash without the free fly portion and can give you huge momentum into a glide, and will grant you your cool-down 4 seconds sooner, than if you went through the whole flight. I’ll add that if you hold down your jump key, when you tap the fly button, you’ll gain massive height and distance, and will immediately begin your glide with full momentum. Use that tech cautiously though, sometimes going high up is a bad play, and dashing without holding jump offers a bit more control.
Play echo when you see someone trying to learn widow in quick play. The trick is to not let them learn how to play her at all.
echo primary fire feels weird. im not used to it yet.
I wish you had a better explanation on the ult. I’m Diamond right now with echo feeling great about her kit other than her ult. Like sure it’s an extra life and can be techy maybe you can copy Moira to help survive or a tank to be threatening or just a dps to get kills. But I’m already a dps and why not just pick THAT dps all together. I’ll get value out of her ult a lot but it seems more of like a BM or survival thing rather than a game changer. Like some of the other ones.
Copy characters that hve powerful abilities you can spam like zarya’s bubbles, or characters with very strong ults
@@Dunmuir I get to copy strong hero’s it’s just like playing echo in a echo spot and copying someone that now isn’t in a normal/good position then getting melted because I’m not in a good spot for that hero. I dunno most dps heros I position for my ult and preform it after watching certain cool downs or before they use those cool downs. Just not as consistent it feels. Is that normal? I’ll get better with practice? I’m Diamond with her now, figured I’d make a masters run with her but her ult is the most inconsistent part of her kit for me.
Honestly, Echo needs more survivability. I would like abit increase in flight speed.
What’s the best way to fly with her on console? It’s so hard to hold A and aim because I only gots one thumb 😂

Sorry I don't remember the buttons for the other consoles but I hope it makes some sort of sense to you. But I've tried it out and it's definitely improved for me.

Do you play echo with hold to fly ??? Its weird to hold shift all the time but power glide is more consistent....
It’s sooo much easier to get max flight height with it on hold to use, I’d 100% recommend it
@@Dunmuir max flight height? it seem it gets higher if you just press it once and hold space tbh. or do you mean super glide, but a timely double shift tab seems to have the same outcome
Do you think Echo's Ult should get a rework? I've been thinking about that lately. I feel like her copy should be her base kit. But I dunno what to think.

I love everything about echo but I absolutely hate her ultimate. It's gimmicky and you almost never get the full value of the ultimate of who your copying. It's charge rate is awful and takes forever and if you mess it up your hurting your team significantly. It's super limited on who you can viably copy. I would much prefer to have it replaced all together. I hate it.
