I love stories where the stormtroopers aren't comically inept. Making them real people makes all of Star Wars more interesting. Nice job.
Thank you! Plot armor has increasingly neutered the bucketheads for most media. Not trying to make these guys heroic by any means, but jeez, if they don't get a win every now and then, why even bother having them around??

Thanks! I definitely understand George has his reasons and will always call Star Wars a "kid's film" but his audience is wide enough that they should lean into some more mature content once in a while.

Looking great. The Scout Trooper armor working well to protect the user (since its weaker than the Stormtrooper armor, but it can still protect the user still in efficiency), skill of the soldier is good too! Love it.
Always bothered me how the armor seemed worthless. All the retcons about “fear and intimidation” at cost of protection and maneuverability seem silly. Imagine that the armor at the very least helps dissipate the blast to make it survivable (maybe severe injury that knocks you out) unless you take multiple hits.
You *can* take multiple hits, according to Rogue One. When Chirrut used one of the stormtroopers as a meat shield, you can hear him scream as he’s hit multiple times.

a huge Star Wars fan, stories like these are what keep the community alive, it shows the side of Star Wars that you don't get with the main series as there is always more going on in the background then massive ship battles, troopers doing their jobs during the reign of the empire and people just living their lives.

Those 6 minutes were more interesting than the whole first season of Acolyte.
I'm not hating on Acolyte, I enjoyed it, but it was predictable (a bunch of popular tropes strung together to hit all the high notes and provide an entertaining experience).

@@Troopscoop Mercy can't bring order to a chaotic galaxy with so many different worlds and people. Mercy, compassion, freedom and democracy are nice concepts when everything else is alright but they are good for nothing in times of chaos. Better live on Coruscant under a dictatorship and have health care, education, a good job, functioning social systems and a forseeable future than living in poverty on Tatooine and fighting for a losing (and illusive) cause :-)
Of course that's just my point of view and I respect my fellow SW fans that are with the rebels/heroes and believe in the greater good (and their plot armor) :-D

I would hope so, for these members' sake! I remember the Pathfinders were complaining for weeks over all the armor mismatches when the scouts debuted on The Mandalorian.

So, who were those guys? Rebels? Another group of criminals?
In my mind, the first group is a couple of spice junkies who find a ship only guarded by one dude (They killed Kai!) and realize it’s probably a smuggler ship so they take a chance to score some spice. The second group is the smugglers that own the ship.
Basically crackheads stealing from the cocaine smugglers. Bad guys all around!
Great film, however we scouts are TB's not TK's.
Short story: originally we were gonna go with stormtroopers and I forgot to update the IDs.
Long story/BS defense so please don’t take it seriously:
TB is just a construct for a real world club to help organize costumes but in universe scouts are as much stormtroopers as the clean whites-just a different loadout. I’d posit that sandies are stormtroopers equipped for Tatooine just as snowtroopers are for Hoth. Silly to think the 501st Legion running with Vader wasn’t swapping armor depending on the situation instead of having specialized troopers on standby for the one time they’d go to a specific environment.
Going into ID structure, we can see in shows like Rebels that stormtroopers can have designations starting with LS, or MB, and that scouts have only been listed with LS (specifically LS-412 and LS-515). If just going off that their designation should be LS-not TB.
So IDs probably don’t refer to type, but something else like rank or sector.
