I _MUCH_ preferred how they did it earlier on in the main game, with Sauron speaking black speech, and the text showed the spelling of the words in black speech, as well as having a translation withEnglish subtitles. Just found out Alastair Duncan voices Mimir from God of War and Celebrimbor in these middle earth games. It felt like Mimir went on a rebellion against Odin which is Sauron in this game before succumbing to undeath.
It’s sad that a video game has more impactful scenes than a billion dollar budget show on Prime. I’m a fan of Rings of Power but Shadow of Mordor is an amazing game.

I fail to see the tactical prowess in running an enemy all the way through the neck and then cutting their head off anyway in the middle of an all out melee.

This version of Celebrimbor feels more like Feanor to me, his Grandfather. His mistakes were pride and arrogance. Sauron is a Maiar, the strongest, he was simply an elf, and not one of the strongest, only the more skillful with craftsmanship.
History of middle earth knows a few occasions where high elfs went face to face with a maiar and lived. Luthien had metaphorical spit Morgoth in the face. Luthien and Beren also pretty much beat the shit out of Sauron in first age. And many Balrogs fell to elfs.
And Celebrimbor was of Noldor origin. Of Feanors line too as you said. I don't know of any individual of that line who wasn't an absolute menace. And Feanor was also more of a craftsman than a warrior.
