  • The porcelain core broke out of the center of the spark plugs, I show how to repair without replacing the cylinder head.
Please Note this repair is not guaranteed and if not performed properly may cause additional damage to aluminum cylinder heads.
Broken extractors are extremely difficult to extract and if they break you may have to remove the cylinder head to get them out. I only recommend American made extractors.

Galled up threads, im dealing with that too, on a 4 cyl ecoboost ford. Again, cyl 2 & 3.

Ford triton V8s have problems with spark plug threads, there are kits that auto parts stores sell to fix them for cheep, it's a stepped tap and an insert. might be worth a shot if you can't fix the damaged threads.

What insert would you recommend for me to extract a spark plug that seems to be stripped and stuck in a 2008 Honda accord EX-L V6 sedan automatic transmission, thanks was thinking about selling if I can't fix

So if you can extract the broken piece with an easy out style extractor you should be able to run a thread chaser to clean the threads like I did in the video, if the threads are damaged one option is to buy the kit for a ford Triton V8, I believe the brand is "Save-A-Thread" and uts used fir repairing ford v8s when they blow spark plug out, the reason I'd try it on a Honda application is because it's cheep and readily available.

Great video, and I love the amount of respect you showed for the other shop that was said to quote a price of $1800 to replace the head. All too many times, people will start bashing on other shops without knowing the circumstances or the whole story of what was said or did and why. It shows your professionalism!
Now, I have a slightly different problem that I could use a small amount of your professionalism with.
I have an 03 camry that I was able to change 3 of the 4 plugs in it. When i went to change the number four plug, I thought it was stripped out, and it was spinning freely inside the spark plug hole. When I used a flashlight to look I couldn't believe what the problem was/is. The spark plug is there still working and not stripped out. The problem is the hex part the socket goes down onto is gone. I've never seen this before. Someone knew it because it's nowhere to be found. It would have had to be removed by someone and would have looked like hex head ring one could wear on their finger. Anyway there is nothing to grab a hold of to remove the plug.
There is a really small ring at the base where the hex head broke off. I used a 12 point socket that was just a bit to small and heated it with a torch then hammered it down onto the small ring but the plug is too tight and the socket slips off before it breaks free.
The only other thing that I can think of I'd to put that cylinder at TDC and break the insulator off then break the remains and let it fall down into the engine. Once I do that I should be able to use an ease out to remove the plug. The use a shop vac to vacuum anything that fell down onto the Piston.
Anything suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ngk states no antiseize is necessary

That may be the case but if antiseize had been used this plug wouldn't have broken, so I always recommend it.
