The Trail
Accommodation on the trail needs to be booked in advance. You can reserve cabin and tent space in advance in Taroko Park on the National Park website:

Food/Equipment rental:
A Kai Mountaineering (阿凱登山服務團隊):

Transport:
The trailhead is located at Shengguang (勝光).
To get there you can take the 1751 bus from Yilan (宜蘭) to Lishan (梨山) and disembark at stop 73 - Shengguang (勝光).
The fare is around NT$300 (US$9) and will take around 2-3 hours.
There is also the 1764 bus from Luodong.

中央尖 難在他的天氣變化很大 也很快 還有當時後的水勢 枯水期比較好走 畢竟上山下山 要過滿多溪流 再來就是要上坡那段的碎石坡 很容易下滑 號稱走一步退兩步 XDD

I am sure just the temperature itself is making your journey pleasant. We just came back from Taipei to the bayarea. OMG, Taiwan is hot and humid. The only place you can comfortably stay in Taiwan during summer is up in the mountain. I am so glad to be back in California.
