The best information on here wasn’t about this C5 FRC Corvette ….it was the wise experienced advise about having regular medical checkups. I’m glad to hear about and see that you are a survivor!!! Thumbs-up to you my brother, I been there as well.!!! 👍🏽
When I was in college I had a z28 99 Camaro… thing was cammed with full bolt-ons and a moser engineering rear end. I thought that car was badass… until I met a dude with a murdered out C5 that was so lopey it would shake at the stop lights. I’ve been jonesing for one ever since. Maybe you and I will end up with the same garage!! Haha my 06 DC SR5 will be picked up next week. I’ll hunt for a C5 or maybe a 996 in 2-3 years.
Not a great buy, but certainly NOT a bad one either. Well bought. 👍 What I like about the C5's is that they are roomier if you will, than the C6. I'll enjoy watching your upcoming vids on this project. Save the Wave🙋♂
Not many "great buys" these days with the market being absolutely bonkers. On a different note, I don't know where you're located, but have you ever been to Corvettes at Carlisle? If not, you should really put that on your bucket list to at least go there once. Largest Vette gathering in the world.
Nice. I"ve been visiting the NCM and the factory, which is a 14-hour drive for me, every other year since 2011 with my "routine" being disrupted because of COVID. Anyway, have you been to Carlisle?
This was my first car ever, ended up selling it a little after highschool. I picked up another 99 FRC with 25k miles on it for 11k 4 years ago.... boy have the prices sky rocketed.
I have owned many Corvettes through the years. Currently have two a C3 and a C7. While I have also owned New Balance shoes in the past I much prefer Sketchers in my advanced years. Just a FYI.
AWESOME to see another C5 in your garage, and TWICE as awesome to see you with hair!!!!! So glad to see you doing well, man. Keep it up!!! Looking forward to some A+ C5 content from an honest, humble and mechanically determined DIYer. I’m not super into the drift scene, but I’m a nerdy DIYer with an ‘02Z for 18 years now and I’m 100% sure I’ll learn plenty from your escapades. Mine’s coming up on 150k miles (230k kms) and is still rocking the original suspension!?! BTW, if the original harmonic balancer is still in place it could be the source of your squeaky accessory drive. The rubber joining the inner and outer part of the pulley can separate, and if it comes apart completely it can cause quite a mess. I’d be changing/upgrading that balancer regardless if it’s original. Good luck, and looking forward to your mods and restoration! Cheers from Canada! 😁
Thanks man! Ideally I'll have a compromise car that I can do multiple events with! Good call on the balancer I haven't even looked yet. Feeling good and looking forward to making more videos!
Bro!!!! Great video and glad to see a vette back in the garage. As you mentioned everyone mods there’s so much and very few people can drive a stock vette to its capabilities. Looking forward to this.
Thanks man!! Yea turns our goals are both important for life and for vehicle builds - who would have thought! Looking forward to catching up at events this summer!
@@Garagetopics on youtube there is lots of corvette, Camaro, mustang, challenger, 2J7 and even G8 content, but very little beyond reviews and cold starts regarding the Chevrolet SS sedan, and Holden Commodores.... Please change that!!!

Did you know New Balance makes boots, and they look really good? Coworker had some on the other day, couldn't tell they were new balances.

Those rims are called wagon wheels. They only came on 1999 C5. I got the same ones on my 99 FRC. Probably going to change them to all black rims.

I still regret selling the roadmaster I got off you. Had an old guy fly out from Texas to drive it home!
Dude this hits me hard, I miss that thing! Do you know where it is nowadays?
Miss my 2001 Z06…
Get yourself another one!
@@Garagetopics working on it but they’re hard to find.
hell yes, ready to see where this goes. fuck that cancer. i kinda like the wheels and i kinda think they are plain.
Me too! Yea f cancer! If they were worth a lot I'd sell them but since they are not ill hold onto them
Sure would make a good spec corvette car
I have had this thought 😎
Find another and let’s do it
Where’s the review? Updates?
I have severe car ADD and sold it :( used the money to help finish the garage
Need more SS sedan content please...
I agree! I looked back and I've only made one video! That will change soon

Please stop with the lame, tired old stereotypes.
What do you mean?
@@Garagetopics New Balance etc. The jokes/stereotypes are lame/old and not even accurate anymore.
Nothing wrong with some comfortable shoes while cruising 💯
