What I love about classic og Dragonball was that it was never afraid to be silly, goofy, and raunchy all at once. Plus honestly as the series goes on, it gets pretty badass too. And also it had some seriously good lore and world building. But ultimately it's the characters I love the most. Especially Goku 💜 Goku was so cute at this age, but cool af too. Lol I remember wanting to have a monkey tail and fly on a cloud. That was the epitome of cool for me as a kid 😂
If you wanna know what Inguri Monguri means,it's a slang from Toriyama's youth, referring to the sound of two people groaning,slithering around while going at it. He did not hold back on showing his horny knowledge during this part of the series!

Re: babies, I was introduced to the stork story through TV (maybe it was the Dumbo movie?), asked where babies really come from. The baby growing inside the mother's tummy was no secret, but when I asked how it got there, there was an awkward pause, and, in my three or four year-old wisdom, I offerred "It just happens?" And my parents did not contradict me, so that's where we left it. I have younger siblings, so I got to look at the "so you're going to have a baby" book my parents had. It was mostly medical stuff that was just technical blurrs to my four-year-old eyes, but I do distinctly remember apicture in the middle of the book of a baby still covered in placenta, looking like a red mess, and the final page being a picture of a clean and healthy newborn. So I at least knew it was kinda bloody. Something which I completely forgot when I was 13 and wrote dry birth scenes into a story.
In the German Dub they circumvented it and made Olong wish for a hat with two holes for his pig ears. You know ... childfriendly. Innocent me was wondering what funny looking hat the dragon produced...
The American dub sounds ridiculous to me, like they didn't take the anime seriously (not even DBZ) and gave it the silly 80s kids cartoon voices treatment.
Toriyama originally planned on ending the series after this story so this could have been the first and last time we ever saw the dragon which makes Oolong's wish even funnier.
Yeah, in a show that's called "Dragonball" it's surprising that they'd gather them all and summon the dragon so soon (One Piece could never 😆) But this was more like a prologue to the wacky and wonderful world of Dragonball. There's so much to enjoy going forward
