I’m glad to see you use Deltran, I’ve used them for many years without issues. I’ve know folks that use cheap products that have bar results, ie fires.

I bring in a Battery that's not in use Lawn mower or truck . I keep them on a wood shelf in the house . if you have over 3 Battery's in a Room make sure you have good ventilation. 1 Spark can be a fire hazard .

I take the battery out of my lawnmower and connect it to a NoCo battery tender at the end of the season. It definitely extends the battery life.

I don't think I'll have to worry about this here soon because the only thing that will be going click on my tractor will be my zippo before I start the fire which is exactly what it needs because I'm looking for an AD bakercompany uniflow steam tractor lol

Solar panel ones are awesome for equipment stored outside

That battery is not for your brake controller bud . It's the power source for your brake aways system on your trailer in case the trailer comes disconnected during towing that little cable your supposed to connect to only your hitch on the vehicle where the safety chains connect . That cable will pull the pin from that switch and send that full 12 volts from the battery to the brakes to lock them up and keep the trailer from continuing to roll and possibly endangering everyone on the road along with yourself.

Don't forget you can always buy solar battery tenders. Great got items that are outside, which you don't want to pull the battery from

I mount a solar tender year round on utility things, or throw a solar tender with a cigarette lighter plug adapter to back feed through on things that don't have a good way to mount and that I don't want to gain access to the battery. Bringing batteries inside is the best, but humans are a victim of laziness :)

You can tell if the owner of a stable of exotic cars is actually a car person, by whether or not they maintain their batteries with float chargers.

Remember, this is only good for lead acid batteries

    Trickle charger

100 percent charge is just as bad 0 percent that's why when you buy devices such as cellphones they usually come 50 percent for the best shelf life of the battery but those are different types of batteries so idk I could be wrong

That's true for lithium ion batteries. Lead acid batteries prefer to be stored at 12-12.5V. They don't like being run dead. The big problem is people leave car batteries on trickle chargers that just charge the battery constantly and slowly overcharge and boil the battery.
