Sir, You should hear Diana Ankudinova sing with Hans Zimmer's 'Dune' here's the link. th-cam.com/video/AzO5OXJY-J0/w-d-xo.html Diana Ankudinova, 'Dune' by Hans Zimmer.
I was there live for this song, and I will never ever EVER forget it. I'll never forget that first note especially. It cut through my soul like nothing I'd ever experienced. It did for almost everyone I think. You heard the reaction! But the atmosphere, the electricity, the intensity of being there... indescribable. We were hypnotized, completely in a trance.
He learned this the day of the concert. At the end, he is mimicking the sound of the dudak. It is an Armenian flute. I love this song. Thank you for your reaction.
You don’t need to be Armenian and speak Armenian to feel what Dimash did in this song. It goes right to your soul. Thanks again for your insightful reaction.
Димаш единственный из известных мне современных певцов, который с любовью знакомит своих поклонников с музыкальной культурой разных стран! Dimash is the only contemporary singer I know who lovingly introduces his fans to the musical culture of different countries!
Sir Hairless - I was thrilled to see you react to this amazing song. The level of detail and thoughtfulness you share is astounding. Thank you, as always for your genuine appreciation of Dimash. Can’t wait for the next one!
This song gave us all immediate goosebumps when he sang it regardless of what country we came from. In his interview at the New Vision forum today Dimash reiterated his opinion that the most common language in the world is music and he shows by his repertoire in so many languages that this is absolutely true.
Thanks for your amazing reactions!!!! LOVE!……. Dimash gives us a piece of his soul in each performance and in each song. That is why he moves us and makes our skin crawl……
This is such a wonderful, powerfully ethnic, so amazingly beautiful rendition of this song. The passion behind his singing is mesmerizing and captivating. It's so stunning.
The soul and heart are crying and the mind is clouded with a crying duduk. It’s as if the mountains are in captivity, as if the rivers froze from crying, as if the duduk echoed to us --- revelations of grief and crying HUGE RAHMET DIMASHIK
How I love this song, sung so wonderfully, in my opinion, by Dimash! So many emotions transmitted! Thank you for your analysis, interesting and precise.
He is kneeling before the tragic history of Armenian people, incl. genocide. The most powerful song by Dimash. There is Know vocalize from Kiev concert, Ikanaide, and Wind of the mountains. Another level, pure emotion. Thank you, Sir for talking about the modes, very interesting, esp. because Dimash is using them.
It was the most dramatic performance of this song ever! Locals were crying..... I know you were in Budapest alone and were sitting far away from the stage. Next time you plan to attend Dimash's concert you should notify us, Dears, and we will help you with a good ticket. Thank you for the reaction.
Hello dear I agree with you, Sir H or music, he is not commercially minded - and does not pick up the latest Dimash songs, but he has the respect for Dimash to first achieve a number of views on his own Dimash channel, his compensation for the work and money has been invested in it, - that makes Sir H positively exceptional from the other reactors, that's right Sir H didn't report but just went to Budapest, his analyzes are of high quality, greeting from Nederland

Thank you for your wonderful review and sensitive appreciation of this song. I am not Armenian. This is one of my favorite Dimash’s songs and performance. This song is sad and beautiful. I love Armenian food, their food, people, and History, and the Eastern instruments and music.

He is just in a class of his own. Skilled, for shure, but regardless of his voice and talent, he puts his very heart and soul into every song. That's why he stands out!
This was the first concert for me & this song was the one that brought tears to my eyes. As you said, his voice goes right through you &, even though I had no idea what the lyrics meant, the pain & emotion of it really hit home. It was absolutely stunning! What a voice & what a performance! Thank you so much 😊🙏💞

I "discovered" Dimash on YT 2 months ago. Since then, I can't tear ❤️ myself away from his songs (even without words). I've learned something from music theory, I've gotten to know kobyz and dombra, I enjoy his voice, the movement of his hands, his love and tenderness, his strength and temperament, his unique art. Each of his songs is unique 💎
Thank you - and I’m glad you discovered this side of Dimash, which is by far my favourite. My Western ears hear the melody lines that have the ‘out’ notes as implying chord changes against the drone, eg the line with the flat 2 implies a change to Bm/C#… I’ve heard Georgian songs with similar melodies harmonised in this way.
Oh, the pain in the music, the words, and every note Dimash sang were palpable 😢. Who cannot relate to missing a loved one? Who cannot relate to this performance? I do not envy them. To feel and love is such a privilege. Wonderful vid, thank you 😊 ❤
Hello SH! Long time no see reacting to Dimash. It's not a criticism. 😓 This song is amazing and his performance is very emotional. For me, at least! 😢The sentiment that I've got makes me want to cry, because of the way that he sounds, the "noises" he makes. It's sad song... Dimash's hability to convey the emotions is very strong in every song, but I think this one, is the most powerful and emotional. See you. Stay well and healthy. Bye
Amazing analysis for an amazing song. At the end he is imitating the Duduk an Armenian wind instrument, imitating the wind howling through the mountains.
I love when Dimash goes to ground. His kneeling is vulnerable, intimate. He sings with an exposed guilelessness eye level with the audience His heart cracked-wide open And as the listener, I kneel beside him and feel the floor-boards vibrate and resonate, too. I'm so drawn to ancient languages and the infinite possibilities of the human voice to convey so many emotions --beyond the translated words. It's a whole other way of listening and experiencing... It reminds me of M.C. Escher's black and white sketch of a winding staircase. Thank you Sir, for helping me to understand more about the artists I love. I'm definitely drawn to Dimash's quieter, more emotive songs. So I'm not quite at the level of a Dear. I'm more like a baby-fawn. It will take more time to earn that 'a' :)
YAY!!! I absolutely LOVE this performance. Dimash was going to do an Armenian song on the dombra only, but heard this song the night before the concert and decided to do it!!! I am stunned by it. I am always excited to hear your comments and your observations! My understanding is that Dimash was imitating the Duduk, a wind instrument that he loves, at the end of the song. I totally agree with your comment about time. I am completely enveloped by Dimash's voice and song here. Incredible, just incredible.
For Armenians, this is a very important song because it shows the longing and loneliness of people separated for political and other reasons. The history of the country is very confusing and in fact families and close people could not meet each other for a very long time. It was dangerous for everyone.
Aha, now more understand the meaning of the song, it echoes with another Kazakh song Doimash performs Samaltau that is also about separation of the young soldger from his motherland and family.
I love listening to your analysis of Dimash’s performances. I am not a professional musician and I get a lot of information about music from your reactions. Thank you for your work. See you later.

Another piece that I recommend is Daididau, in his Bastau concert. Thanks for your awesome comments!
Always a pleasure, always a music lesson watching you! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you!❤
