🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲Oh my God. It's armenian national falk music. I was in that concert. Special flеw to Armenia for him. I was so so so so happy when heard him singing in armenian😭 It is indescribable for me as armenian girl. Love him so much. HE IS ONE OF THE GREATEST IN THE WORLD 💎💎💎💎 AND thank you for your reaction ❤
Dimash rehearsed this Armenian folksong in Armenian language only one day before the concert as appreciation for the host country ❤ Nobody but Dimash could do this within only one day!!! He really is an outstanding and unique musician and singer ❤
Many singers can and will do learn a song only one day before the concert, and sing it. Even with good phonetics. It has happened before, and certainly will happen again. ;) I doubt, however, that many Western singers would have been able to learn _this_ particular song as quickly. It's just very different to what we hear and sing normally. It's probably not as different to the Music Dimash grew up with, so he might have an advantage there. Or maybe not - this sort of music is so unfamiliar to me that I find it hard to tell whether something is from the Middle East, North Africa or Central Asia. (Even though I think that locals would no doubt not find their music similar at all.) Anyway: One thing I really admire about Dimash is that he can and will sing anything that can be sung - and do it masterfully. That and about the best voice control I have ever heard in anyone, east or west. :)
Dimash sang this Armenian song at his Armenian concert. He said he wasn’t sure if he would sing it as he was still leaning it, and that he knew Armenian singers sing it better but he did his best,
Hallo Yuri ,dank je wel hier wat info:Dimash sung beautifull in Yeravan Armenia Sareri Hovin Mernem “Ill Die for the wind of the mountans a melancholic Armenian folk song that speaks of a deep sorrow and longing for a lost love. The lyrics express a desire to die and join the loved one in the afterlife as it seems impossible to go on living without them. The chorus "Hovin mernem" and "Poyin mernem" repeated throughout the song mean "I shall die of sorrow" and "I shall die of pain" respectively. In the first stanza. Dimash says that they will die of grief because their love is gone. In the second stanza, the singer states that they will die of pain because their hearts are broken. Stanza three tells the singer he is seeing their love in their dreams and not being able to forget them, which only increases their suffering. In the fourth stanza, the dimash expresses a desire to join their love in the afterlife, to be with them forever. her, so that you can climb to me." This line symbolizes the singer's devotion to their love, even in death Dimash end this song for Armenians with the imitation of an emblematic wind instrument of this country: the Armenian Duduk a type of hobo made exclusively in apricot, whose history dates back about 3,000 years
This was the most spine-tingling performance of this concert. It was my first live concert and this brought tears to my eyes and was just so beautiful. His voice is just so emotional and clear. At the end of this song Dimash immitated an Armenian instrument called a Duduk and it was just so amazing. The part where you say his voice was not so open is when he is immitating the Duduk so skilfully. It was definitely the highlight of the concert for me. Thank you for your reaction 😊🙏
In Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, Dimash’s solo concert took place on April 29 (it coincided with my birthday). I was there in the auditorium, in the second row! Of course, I saw and listened to Dimash closely, and this performance with a song in Armenian really excited me. The fan meeting between Dimash and his fans (dears) took place the day after the concert in Yerevan. The famous duduk musician Gevorg Dabaghyan came there and gave Dimash a duduk. And he also played an Armenian melody on the duduk, which Dimash sang at the concert. Duduk is an ancient Armenian wind musical instrument, which is made mainly from apricot wood. It is common among the peoples of the Caucasus, the Middle East, Central Asia and the Balkan Peninsula. Fragment of a fan meeting - th-cam.com/video/axIQ8j19qtI/w-d-xo.html There are longer videos of this event. The concert in Yerevan and the fan meeting were an unforgettable two days of the holiday.
This is in his Armenian concert. A dayvorcteo b4 the concert, dears asked him to sing in their language. He said he'd do his best, everyone knowing that so far he had never sung or spoken their language. He had 2 days to learn it if he had the time. This is the result. Fir me it is just sooo beautiful.
Yes, it's improvised, and it's emulating the sound of the DUDUK, an Armenian instrument, similar to a flute. The one you can see at "Know" video, the performance where he wears a white suit
Dimash was in Armenia on the 29th of April 2023 with his Stranger concert. He sang this song to honor the country and at the end, he imitates the wind with his voice. He also sang in Turkey the following week with a Turkish song. Thank you for your reaction. ❤️🙏☮️
This kind of singing also utilizes a lot of semitones that are not part of the musical scale that's used in the West. We don't hear a lot of those symptoms locally in western music.
Dimash is the 8th wonder of the world. He is a vocal genius, not to mention his musical talent is fanaminal. Did you know that he suffers from serious sinus issues and has had numerous procedures done. If you notice, before almost every time he begins to sing he will wipe his nose? Just a little fyi. As always, enjoyed your reaction!!!
I don’t know much about Armenian traditional music but it’s definitely not based on a pentatonic scale (like traditional Chinese music). It is closer to the Arabic scale. Sorry, I just looked it up, and it’s based on two tetrachords. Possibly they have a lot of improvisation within the song, just as in Arabian and Persian songs. This was at the Yerevan concert in Armenia.
Too many comments to read through so I apologize if I'm repeating. This looks to me like the fancam that began circulating on this platform right after the concert. There is a much better audio/video recording that came out quite some weeks later. (I know because I was anxiously wait for a good one) MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE when the audio and videoagraphy is high quality and does him justice. It looked like you had another one to choose before you started that may have been the better one. I don't mean to be rude, but truly, fancams are not complimentary.😢
